In fairytale land, Charming is being chased and hunted down by the King's men. They are determined to get him to marry Abigail (King Midas' daughter) to complete the union. She ends up finding him and telling him she doesn't want to marry either. She has another love, Frederick. He fought heroically to save her father, but her father turned him into gold. She tells him of a magical lake that the water from that lake can change anything. Nobody has been able to get there, because of the monster that guards the lake. Charming is willing to try to help Abigail find her true love, if he cannot have Snow.
When he gets to the lake a gorgeous blonde siren appears. She transforms herself into what he loves most, Snow. They then kiss and she tries to lure him deeper into the lake. He ends up going with her and starts to drown. He takes a knife he sees at the bottom and kills the siren. He knows this is not true love, but fake. He gets the water from the lake and transforms Frederick back into himself so him and Abigail can have peace together. He ends up trying to find Snow White and find his love again.
In Storybrook, Mary Margaret and David are still running around together behind Kathryn's back. He tells her that he will break the news to his wife. Kathryn tells him about her plans to go to Boston to go to law school. He tells her that he cannot go with her, because he doesn't feel connected to her. She gets upset and runs to Regina and she automatically assumes she knows about his affair with MM. Kathryn storms into school to confront MM and ends up bumping into Frederick (who is now a gym teacher). She slaps her in the face and calls her a home wrecker. MM realizes that David lied to her too. She breaks it off with him after the whole town calls her a tramp. Somebody has even written something nasty on her car.
Emma has been asked out again by the stranger in town. He tells her his name is August. He has Henry's book and he has been taking the pages, dipping them in water, then drying them out and sewing them back on. Super creepy right? But why? He ends up placing the book back with Emma after they drink from the magical well (must be that lake water in there). She gives the book back to Henry.
Regina was the one who wrote on MM's car. She wanted Kathryn and David to stay together. She learns that Kathryn is leaving and has written David a note. She takes her multitude of keys and steals the letter then burns it. Kathryn is about to cross state lines when something happens. Frederick pulls up behind her and sees a crashed car with a missing Kathryn. But what happened to her?
My thoughts...
Regina transferred her to one of those secret chambers of hers. They are going to blame MM for the disappearance. Who is August though? I still think he's the original story book writer, because he can come in and out of town without falling off the face of the earth. But we will not find out for 2 more weeks!
