Melissa & Joey: To Russia with Love

This episode totally takes the dynamic somewhere else. Joe's Russian girlfriend Elena is there to stay and Joe has been slacking on his job. He hasn't cooked or cleaned for them and Mel is not happy. She befriends her only to manipulate her and make her think Joe should not go out with his friends. We learn that Elena may get sent back to Russia and arrested. The only way to save her? Propose. Joe does this at the end. Oh no!

Meanwhile, Lennox has started a blog about junkfood in vending machines. Ryder has been eating for her and starts to then want to sneak veggies. She gets them banned and all the kids hate her.

Melissa & Joey: Little Mel

Lennox gets a job as Mel's intern. She wants her to be just like her until she falls for the intern of her frenemy. She then writes stuff that she feels that Mel doesn't agree with. In the end, she realizes she is just like her.

Ryder has a huge hickey, not from Holly. We find out that it was from the vacuum. Also, Joe has been skyping with a Russian girl and she ends up coming to visit and he is super into her. Is she here to stay? Will this mess with the Mel and Joe dynamic?

Melissa & Joey: Mel's Mother

Mel's mom is in town and they have the strangest relationship. She wants to stay with them and doesn't even know Ryder's name. She calls Joe the help and thinks it strange that they all eat together. She decides she wants to move in with them after we learn that Mel's dad is cheating on her with a 28 year-old yoga instructor. Joe clues her in as to why younger women do this, to get money, have spawn and get more money. She then calls up the girl to tell her about the vasectomy and they split. He asks the mother back with a diamond bracelet and a trip to Paris.

Meanwhile, Lennox refuses to play crab soccer in gym. The teacher (same P.E. teach from clueless) wont let anyone not play unless they are dead. She tells her accidentally that she is preggo. The teach is understanding and lets her sit out, until she announces it to the whole class. Lennox has to clear her name and say she lied and play soccer again.

Melissa & Joey: Lennox's Accident

We start off with Ryder having to do 20 hours of community service. Mel tells him he can catalogue her shoes and clothes and take pictures of them to count. If he is doing that then she can spend her time saving the city of Toledo. Good deal? Joe walks in on him and the shoes and thinks maybe something is wrong.

Meanwhile, Mel is taking Lennox for driving lessons. They hate driving with each other, so Joe secretly takes out Lennox. She crashes into the neighbors mailbox. He says he did it and takes the blame. The neighbor comes over and asks for a check since Lennox did it. Mel tries to get them to confess and Lennox cracks. She tells Joe she wanted to teach her since her dad never taught her.

Melissa & Joey: Secrets and Lies

Ryder got $1000 from his aunt and asks Joe to invest it in this sneaker company. He says he does, but refuses. The stock doubles then triples and now Joe needs to come up with the money he lied and didn't invest. He goes to a high stakes poker game to win it, but finds out the stock tanked. So gives Ryder back his original money and none is the wiser.

Mel is dating Haskel's dad, but him and Lennox broke up. Lennox forbids her to see him, so they sneak around. Lennox and Haskel get back together and Mel can see him in public except its not fun for either of them anymore.

Melissa & Joey: Mel Cooks

Very cute episode. Mel is dating a new guy Travis and brings him home to offer leftovers. She doesn't admit that she doesn't cook and tells him Joe is just the nanny. He wants to have a date with her where she cooks. She gets Joe to teach her how to make this chicken dish. When Travis comes over, he didn't get chicken, he got lobster. She makes Joe teach it to her on the IPAD until Ryder dumps that into a pot of water. She is screwed and Travis walks in on them fighting and thinks they are together. He breaks it off with her and they have dinner together, while is masseuse date massages her feet.

Meanwhile, Lennox's friend has a crush on Ryder. Holly is away so Ryder decides to date both girls. He cannot handle the pressure after Holly almost catches him and has Lennox break it off with her friend.

Melissa & Joey: The Donor

Mel's friend Jackie wants a baby with a sperm donor. She is narrowing it down to two choices. One is an Italian and the other is Swedish. When Mel hears more and more about the Italian donor she realizes its Joe. She confronts him and he says he did that to get money after he lost his job. She tries to talk Jackie out of it, but now that she knows its Joe's baby she wants it even more.

Lennox and her boyfriend go to a garage sale and get a first edition book. He wants to sell it for full price and she is upset about the sentimental value of it. She tells him to cut the book in half so they can share it and he freaks out.

Meanwhile, all Joe's sperm was bought so Jackie decides she will get Joe in bed the old fashioned way. Mel breaks it up saying she loves Joe, which is a lie. We find out she is the one who bought all the sperm.

Melissa & Joey: Double Date

Mel and Joe set each other up on dates. Joe goes out with her friend Ariel and Mel goes out with his friend Clark. They go on a double date and Ariel is a witch, she wont have fun or dance with him. Clark is too buys crying about his ex-wife and runs off to find her. Joe and Mel dance the night away.

Lennox is so caught up in her new blog, that she ignores boyfriend. They make up and she finds a name for her blog. Lennox explains it all. Sounds reminiscent of Clarissa explains it all :)

Melissa & Joey: Holly Cheats

Mel is wearing an Amish dress. She wants to break up with current, boring boyfriend Donald. They go out to dinner and she feels bad for him that he lost his job so she doesn't break things off. Joe meets him and tries to boost his confidence. It works, but too well. He gets a new job and tells Mel he wants to date other girls. She breaks up with him anyways.

Holly tells Lennox she kissed another guy. Ryder knows about it so he uses it to his advantage so Holly will be nice to him. He finally admits he knows and Lennox thinks they are crazy and perfect for each other.

Melissa & Joey: Knockout Burke

We start in the movie theatre where there is this really annoying guy who is taking calls. Ryder tells him to be quiet and he doesn't listen so Joe walks out to get the usher. Do we even still have ushers? He pushes Ryder and Mel gets mad. He then pushes Mel and she punches him out. People are filming it and it goes viral. Since her numbers were down in the poll, they are now back up. She is known as Knockout Burke and they love her.Problem is that they think punching is the answer. Ryder punches a boy in school and thinks its OK. She realizes this is her fault and stops it.

Meanwhile Lennox befriends new, weird girl Hester. She makes her come over and Hester steals her notebook. Joe tries to tell her she stole it, so they make her leave the room and find the stolen notebook. Hester tells her she didn't want to be friends anyway and Lennox lectures her on how to be the new girl. To smile and not hate life so much.

Mel has been sneaking off and Joe suspects she is having an affair with a married man. He finds out later that she has just been going somewhere when she is stressed out. Lennox's friend Scarlett has a new boyfriend that she is always with and now the boyfriend likes Lennox. Ryder is busy trying to find the perfect birthday gift for his girlfriend.

Lennox has a new boyfriend and Mel has the talk with her about sex. Lennox misinterprets and thinks its ok to do it. They invite his parents over as well and they give them the ok. They almost have sex, but feel weird that people approve, so they don't.

Ryder is back with his controlling little girlfriend, Holly. She flicks herself with a rubber band every time she wants to bark orders. She tells Ryder he needs to shave so she does it for him. She uses lady shave cream and a pink racer and slashes his face.

Melissa & Joey - The Cabinet Guy

Mel hates her new cabinets, so her contractor suggests the cabinet guy. She loves him. He has a vision, he is sexy and he has a picnic with her on the floor. Joe thinks he is a phony but Mel loves him. She even goes to visit him at his other job to find that he is hitting on all of his clients. She has a scene where she banishes Joe to the room above the garage and after this whole cabinet love ends, she regrets it.

Lennox is asked to be on spirit squad and hates the other people except leader Austin. He ends up asking her out and she is happy again after being dumped by old geek boyfriend Beckett.

Melissa & Joey: Season 2 Premiere

Hooray! Melissa and Joey is such a cute little show, I am glad it's back. Just a little background. Joey worked for a hedge fund and lost all of his money when the owner ran a Ponzi scheme. He was out of work and mad so he went to confront his boss, but he found Melissa there. She is the sister in law of the scam artist and since both parents were taken, she was put in charge of his two kids, teenagers Lennox and Ryder. He couldn't find a job anywhere else, so she hired him as her nanny. And so it begins. The love affair and hilarious comedy that is Melissa and Joey. When we left them last season, Joe almost got a new job and was moving out and wanted to be romantic with Mel, until the job fell through. Now, he is back in the house with her and platonic as ever.

Mel is doing her whole house over and the kitchen. She needs to be able to do her job as city council woman and supervise the house, but she cannot. She lets Joe take over the house job. He ends up getting into a fight with Leo the contractor about costs of copper and he quits. He then has to do things himself, forcing them to sleep downstairs and after a mis trip to the bathroom, they wind up in the same bed.

Meanwhile, Lennox is putting on a play about her evil principal. The principal bans it and then sees it and loves it and hugs Lennox, she is appalled. Mel bribes the contractor and so does Joey to come back and he does. The house is back in working order.
