Project Runway: Androgony challenge

Designers must create a look that can be worn on both male and female. The twist? They must design a matching look for a male model. They have $150 at mood to spend. The guest judges were Jason Wu and Robert Rodriguez.

Josh, Althea and Ivy were safe. Josh had a little brat attack in the back with Ivy, saying that she doesn't care to be safe, but he is a star. Oh boy. Egos back please.

Top....

Ulee -A good tribal thought

Anthony Ryan - A good attempt and really pretty and sheer.

Emilo - The winner! Did this great vest and pant set with cutout backs.

Bottom...

Laura Kathleen - They weren't too into it and said it was not androgynous at all

Casanova - Was shiny and gold, but not doing it for them

Kayne - The loser. He did this hideous hounds tooth with yellow shirt underneath and shorts on the guy. YUCK.

Project Runway: USA Today Photos

Designers are to choose fan photos that will inspire their looks. It will be featured on USA today. They have $150 to shop and they need to choose photos in pairs. Laura Kathleen gets picked last and she is unhappy that everyone is judging her on her background and upbringing. The judges are going to be Charlotte Ronson and 16 year old fashion blogger, Tavi Gevinson.

Top.....

Laura Kathleen - She had rain drops and dyed her dress that way. They did love it.
Emilio Sosa - He choose a little girl and made this crazy yellow popped up dress. I hated it, but they seemed to love it
Anthony Ryan - He chose this geometric photo and made this blue and black dress. He won! He got featured and talked about his time with Cancer.

Bottom.....

Joshua McKinley - He had this Rainbow bright looking outfit and I am surprised they let him slide by.
Althea - She had a train station picture which she made into an ill-fitting work pantsuit. yuck.
Andre - He had an African woman who was sad and made this hideous tassel outfit for her. He was sent home. Ever notice how season 1- 3 designers in All Stars do not make it very far?!

Projecy Runway: Spraypaint Challenge

Designers learn some street art techniques and have to spray paint clothing and make it wearable art. Ivy and Laura Kathleen are fighting. Apparently, she is rubbing people the wrong way talking about her privileged childhood. We have two guest judges I have never heard of before that look like lumberjacks.

Lowest....

Laura Kathleen - cute dress, too short of a hem
Kayne - Nice velvet top with skirt, but the mermaid bottom was hideous
Suede - Was too confusing for judges and he was out!

Highest...

Ivy - Nice jacket, weird see through thing
Anthony - Gorgeous dress
Emilio - Jacket outfit, not my favorite, but he is the winner

Project Runway All Stars: Disco

Designers are transformed back to the 70's for a disco challenge. They get to choose a shoe from Nine West's collection to be their muse. The winner gets featured in Nine West's fall campaign. During the challenge, they take a disco break and dance under a glitter ball! Guest judge works for Nine West.

Safe....

Anthony Ryan, Emilio, Althea, Laura Kathleen, Joshua, Suede

Top....

Ivy - Forest green with jewels on top (that she had help with), pretty
Cassanova - Fuscia dress with roped back, very nice
Uli - White sparkles and mirrors and they love it! She is the winner

Bottom....

Kanye - They think it's too J-Lo
Andre - Does another hideous coat outfit, doesn't he learn?
Wendy - Hideous hooker outfit with chains, she is the loser and out

My predictions, Cassanova, Anthony Ryan or Joshua... maybe Laura Kathleen, but she is blonde so I am always biased!

Project Runway Allstars: Season 2 Premiere

And the All Stars are back! They are split into two teams of buzz words to make a mini collection. This year we have....

Team Bold:
Joshua McKinley – season 9 - love! Think he will be great
Peach Carr – season 8 - why is she back?
Laura Kathleen – season 9 - she's good too
Emilio Sosa – season 7 - diva
Andrae Gonzalo – season 2 -  have no idea
Suede – season 5 - don't know either

Team Confident:
Kayne Gillaspie – season 3 - who?
Uli Herzner – season 3 - nope
Casanova – season 8 - oh YAY
Ivy Higa – season 8 - DIVA
Althea Harper – season 6 - eh
Anthony Ryan – season 9 - what a sweetie
Wendy Pepper – season 1 - apparently the biggest biotch!

The judges were Rachel Roy and Mondo, along with our usual All Star judges of Georgina and Issac.

The winner? Team confident. The winning look? Anthony Ryan! Good for you! The loser is Peach. She didn't learn a thing in her season, did she? I have to say Mondo, is a pretty harsh judge this season. OUCH!

Project Runway: Season 10 Finale

We are in the final stages and the designers have time to design one more outfit or use more in their own designs. They are taking the judges words to heart. Their families are there as well and everyone is feeling the pressure. Guest judge is Jennifer Hudson.

The Collections....

Chris - Still had those shorts they told him to take out. But had some beautiful pieces.
Melissa - Used this blood orange fabric to make the last dress, amazing. She had one white dress her model could NOT walk in.
Fabio - Had his pastels with light and airy looks. He did polish them up a bit. I still don't know what they see in them.
Dimitry - Showed his yellow dress and a few more pieces. And he was declared the winner! Go him!

Project Runway

Time to see the final four's collections and what they have been up to at home. We start with Chris and he is doing really well. He used his mother's Xray to make prints for a skirt and shirt and used some leather which he threw bleach on.

Then he went so see Fabio at a place he was staying at that was his friend's. He had all pastel prints with weird clunky shoes and strange things, but it was so Fabio. I personally do not like this style.

Then we are off to see Dimitry in another friend's place. He had a really great collection, but a lot more see through. One fabulous yellow dress.

Finally flew to San Francisco to see Melissa. She had some really great textures and fabrics and some great high collared dresses.

They all met up and had two days to get their collections together. Tim did not seem happy with some of them.

The winners? All of them! It seems all four will be showing. I personally would have let Fabio go, but that's me. Also, I think they should've shown their shocking pieces, like Chris's gown or Dimitry's yellow, but they didn't. They have a day or two more to style and edit their looks before the show. Hopefully they will rock it! My vote is Melissa ALL THE WAY, you go girl!

Project Runway: Makeup Challenge

Designers are taken to Oheka castle to sketch and make designs coordinating with Loreal's new makeup collection. They have $400 and 2 days to complete the challenge. Each designer got a different look, except two. Enchanted Queen, Seductive Temptress, Wise Mystic, and Artsy Muse. Guest judge is Zoe Saldana. Let's see how they did. This challenge determines who goes to fashion week!

Melissa - OFF to fashion week! She had the Artsy Muse and made this leather blue turned up collar thing. It was good and she is good at what she does. She is still in my top to win it!

Chris - OFF to fashion week! He had the enchanted queen and made this black tie formal gown. Although he had these feather arms which they thought were kooky, but I loved it. Totally cool.

Dimitry - OFF To fashion week and the WINNER. He had the Seductive temptress and made this dress with detachable collar. It did look vampira, but they loved it. And he won, so woo.

Fabio - He almost didn't make it, but he did. He had the Enchanted queen as well. He made a coat that he turned upside down, but ended up sliding by.

Sonjia - Aww poor her. She was in my top. She had the Wise Mystic and but made this detached green outfit that looked like a skating uniform. She got kicked off and I was sad.

But the show must go on! Who is to win?

Project Runway: Baby Clothes

Challenge? Design a baby outfit in accordance to Heidi's baby line. The twist? They must also watch their robotic babies during the challenge and bring them everywhere. Just when they thought it could not get any worse, they have to then design an outfit for mom. Tim collects the babies and lets them work after they have had enough. There will be two winners, one boy and one girl design. Then a loser of course. Guest judge is Hillary Duff, mother of one.

Top....

Dimitry - His little boy hooded outfit. Although the hood was weird and made him look like a gnome. It zipped down into a cape and Heidi thought that was cool.

Fabio - Made a little boys sailor suit and a matching casual mom's.

Sonjia - Made this cute sweatsuit blazer and pants with Heidi's print shirt underneath. So cute! She won for the little boys!

Chris - Had a Mary J Blige mom who was super particular. He made a flower dress with matching headband. His mom in a flower print dress which she hated. He won!

Bottom....

Melissa - Poor Melissa. I love her, but she doesn't know how to manage her time. She made a tight sheath dress with zipper, not meant for baby, but a kick ass jacket. She was safe luckily.

Elena - Made a crazy outfit that had no cohesion. She got sent home. Bye bye Natasha!

Project Runway: Rockette's

OK designers! Time to design a new outfit for the Rockette's. They have time to sketch and then $250 at mood. When they start to design Tim gets so worried and he lets them go back to mood with another $100 to re-shop. Only half of them go back. Guest judge is actress Debra Messing. Let's see how they did!

Safe....

Fabio - Made this hideous sparkly silver costume, but was apparently safe.

Top....

Melissa - Made a cigarette girl outfit of hot pink and black sparkles. She did not mean to, but ended up emblazoning a 1 on her chest. They liked it, but ripped it apart. Strange right?

Dimitry - Made this gorgeous cut out outfit with fringe skirt and sheer pieces. I loved this! He really can design.

Chris - THE WINNER. He made this silver and sheer outfit with the NYC skyline on front and back and starry skies towards the collar. It was really creative and nice and he won! Good job buddy!

Bottom....

Sonjia - Made this purple feather outfit and they all thought the girls would molt. She had a minor breakdown, but they did not send her home.

Elena - Made this hideous girls dance team outfit out of shiny blue and a throw up of sparkles. She cried and was saved.

Venn - Oh Venn. You are the most talented yet your ego got in the way. You designed this blue piece and when Tim told you to keep the sheer, you didn't. And when you had a chance to go back for more fabric, you didn't. Therefore you are a one trick pony and they had to let you go! See ya!

Project Runway: Textile Challege

Mondo helps to introduce this challenge where they draw an image and it creates fabric for them. Everyone is either excited or not. The twist? Their loved ones come in and help them design and get to hang out with them that evening. Elena is the most shocking of all when her mother comes and she is this super, happy person. Mondo and Anya are guest judges for this.

Safe....

Elena and her crazy coat and Fabio and his penis/vagina patterns.

Bottom....

Christopher - Makes a pattern dress covered by black gauze

Ven- makes his hibiscus flower and the same pleating pattern. They tell him to step it up and do something different. He is too proud as always but then tells the judges he will step it up.

Gunnar - Makes a high  neck jacket which they do not like and send him home. His design was a free bird and black hands due to his childhood bullying

Top.....

Melissa - Makes this fun print red dress, so out of her element, but amazing!

Sonjia - Makes these great fitted pants, but does not win

Dimitry - Makes a skirt, top and jacket with cut outs. It really is cool and fun and it wins!

Project Runway: 2 Fall Looks

Ok kids, we need to team up in groups of threes. Then the designers need to sell t-shirts and tanks for money on the street. They money the raise buys the fabric for 2 fall looks, including one outerwear piece. Let's see how the teams did! Guest judge: Anna Sui.

Ven/Melissa/Fabio - Raised the most money at about $800 on the street. They had a hideous gray coat by Fabio, a great leather jacket by Melissa and a hideous gray skirt by Venn. He wanted to make his normal rose pattern, but they nixed it. Since they were all too nice to one another, they flopped. They were in the bottom two, but did not lose.

Alicia/Elena/Dimitry - What a recipe for disaster. Elena always has something bad to say. They raised $500. Alicia made horrible pants and shirts, Dimitry made the same dress he always does with stole and Elena made hideous coats. They lost and Alicia went home. They need to keep Boris and Natasha on, or where would the drama be?

The Winners....

Sonjia/Chris/Gunnar - You would think they would lose with Gunnar hating Chris, but they got along fine. They had a budget of $684. She made this amazing green coat, Gunnar made two dresses and Chris made a trench coat. Beautiful! Sonjia is the winner and immunity is no longer offered.

Project Runway: Lord & Taylor Challenge

They are off to Lord & Taylor where they need to design a look that can be mass produced for evening wear that belongs in L&T. They are off to design. It seems that Elena is having a hard time with this challenge and so is Sonjia who cries her way through the end. Tim tells her to fake it. Guest judge is President of L&T. Let's see how they did!

Safe....

Sonjia - even though she had a meltdown, she was safe. Just simple black dress with puffed out waist.

Ven - another rose detail which was not so great, but still safe. He was surprised he wasn't in the top.

Dimitry - Had a grey dress and he was super upset he wasn't in the top. I think he is pretty drab.

Top....

Fabio - did a really great dress with the back zipper showing and an asymmetrical hem. I loved it!

Melissa - AMAZING! I loved her dress. It was this different material, that she originally thought about scrapping. She did this popped up neckline with strapless back. Truly gorgeous. I thought she should have won.

Elena - the 4th top score, which I have never seen. She was soo surprised and shocked they liked it that she was happy and smiley. So unlike her. I personally did not like her dress.

Chris - the winner. Um. Not my favorite. He had a shredded skin colored top with long maxi skirt. He is always so humble though. Now he will not do shredding again. Maybe Heidi's fuscia sparkly barbie dress clouded her mind.

The bottom...

Alicia - Did this horrible dress with the seams showing. I honestly thought she should go home. I don't know why she is still on the show.

Gunnar -  His sparkly see through dress was too much for them. But they kept him anyway and didn't send anyone home.

You know what that means?! Next week 2 people to go home. Good luck with that!

Project Runway: Design for a friend

This week's challenge we must design an outfit for the friend of the person we are meeting. They are not happy with their looks. They get one day, a few hours the next and $150. With "real size" models to design for. Let's just say one designer was completely classless about it. Guest judge, Alice Temperly. Let's see how they did!

from ew.com

Safe....

Elena - she surprised me this week, by being super nice and smiley to her client. She did a plain outfit in PINK.
Melissa - Wah. She could've rocked this a bit more. She did a plain dress with a scarf.
Alicia - a short pink dress, woah.
Chris - A plain dress and jacket that he was not happy she rumpled and kicked off the first seconds.

Top....

Gunnar - A nice dress, but the model was so happy in it, I think that is the reason she was in the top
Dimitri - A blue dress, very tight, and nice.
Fabio - The winner! I could tell he would win, because the camera loved him this episode. He had tons of cameos. He gave her a rocking hair cut and a cute dress. He could lose the belt. They all loved him and his look. Good job!

from ew.com

Bottom....

Sonjia - My girl! She did a satin, too short with a knot dress that cut this girl in half. But she is awesome so they kept her. Whew.

Ven - Not enough words for him. Fat boy better check himself. He was upset that his model was too fat. He needs to look in the mirror. He kept saying to her the belts don't fit and he is not used to designing for her, basically calling her fat. He did a half ass job for her and made her friend cry. Heidi kept him at the end to scold him. He then thought he did nothing wrong. He still said it was other people who were worse. But safe for now.

Nathan - the loser! He got sent home for this r&b star client and her hoochie mamma outfit. Alice was like whats that and Michael said a tart and she was like ooo ok!

Project Runway: Group Design Challenge

Designers are split into two teams where they must design different looks for the woman at work and do a cover shoot. They have one day to do this.

Team 6: Sonjia, Elena, Melissa, Dmitry, Alicia, and Raul
Team 5: Nathan, Ven, Chris, Fabio, and Gunnar

This is a recipe for disaster. Elena is a mess and hates when things don't go her way and Raul wont listen to anyone else and only wants his aesthetic to shine through. On the other team, they are alright but only like to use silk chiffon which apparently isn't easy to work with.

They have a lot of fights that continue over to the photo shoot where Elena wants her way and her way all the time. We have Joanna Coles guest judging.

The losing team was team 5. Nathan did a weird top and pants. Chris did a great patterned skirt. Fabio did a plain dress with floral wrap headband. They all loved it but i don't see why. Gunnar did a dress which I hated!

The winning team is Team 6! Melissa is the winner over all with her gorgeous blue dress with fun draped neck and asymmetrical zipper down the back.

from ew.com

Elena and Alicia did OK tops and pants. Raul did a hideous flap top and Sonji did a great blue skirt. Dimitri did a great color block dress.  They all had to say who they thought and threw him and Elena under the bus.

The loser was Raul again and he got kissed goodbye twice. He told Elena he hated her when he had to leave. Ouch!

Project Runway: Woman on the Go

This week we have to design a day to night look for the woman on the go. But we have tons of drama first. Andrea left in the middle of the night. She couldn't take the heat anymore. Because of this they let designer Raul back in. Kooan cant take the pressure either and he is not happy like this so he quits as well. Wow. Guest judge Hayden Paniettere and Rachel Roy

Safe.....

Alicia - Did menswear pants with a fitted top, not bad.
Melissa - the queen of black, but it just seemed blah
Gunnar - Did this strange patchwork skirt with a weird sweater tank
Nathan - Plain potato sack dress
Ven - gorgeous fanned out dress
Elena - needs to change her silhouette with her strange space jacket

Top....

Chris - Gorgeous leather jacket over basic dress
Dimitry - Really nice sleek jersey dress with pleating
Sonjia - my girl the winner! Had a little peekaboo part in the front and Hayden wants to wear it. Good job girl!

Bottom....

Raul - what a shame. He did this crazy overcoat which was not flattering and ill-fitted pants covered up with leather strips
Fabio - made his dress too short and the pattern was wonky.
Buffi - sorry girl you gots to go! Even Christopher tried to tell her pink sheer was not right but she didn't listen. Her cheetah hair has to be out.

Project Runway: Design for other designer

This challenge was sponsored by Lexus. Designers were paired in teams of two with a color Lexus they should base their challenge on. Twist? They need to design for a previous project runway winner or contestant. Some are more difficult than others and some teammates are harder to work with. Guest judge, Krysten Ritter from don't trust the B.

from ew.com

The Pairs.....

Buffi/Elena - Had the most trouble. Elena got freaked out and had a spaz attack and Buffi was cool and calm. They ended up with a boring black dress.

Melissa/Dimitri - Had April with the purple hair. They did a slick silver dress that was so so.

Sonjia/Nathan - They had a gold sparkly dress which was nice for designer Valerie.

The top...

Gunnar/Kooan - I am super surprised. Gunnar led the show and Kooan was just lost. They are nothing alike and Gunnar should be thankful that Kooan just listened. They were creating for Irina, who was the most difficult. She told them that their stitching was horrible and the lines were atrocious. They did this flowy white dress.

Ven/Fabio - Ven always makes perfect things. They were designing for tacky Kenley. So I am surprised it wasn't polka dots. They did this navy dress that was short and perfectly her and won the challenge. Ven gets to go to the Emmy
s with Kenley wearing this dress.

from ew.com

The Bottom....

Chris/Andrea - At first he was excited to work with her. But after she spent 10 hours just cutting the fabric and laughing over her mistakes he was furious. He called her out and she basically said she didn't care if she left. He was on stage with a sad face and Heidi knew. He told them her heart is not in it and she backpedaled. They were designing for Anya a high neck brown dress with a too high slit. They are lucky they were safe, and if they weren't, Andrea would go home.

Raoul/Alicia - Who only do menswear, or so they said. They were designing for Mila and did an awful job. They first had this red/black patterned top and they nixed it. Raoul was cut.

from ew.com

The twist? Andrea left in the middle of the night. Too bad she didn't leave a bit earlier, than Raoul could come back. Or maybe he will!

Project Runway: Candy Challenge

Don't you just love the unconventional challenges? This week its at Dylan's Candy bar and they have $250 (but really $500 because Dylan Lauren gave them half off) to create a wearable look and only 1 day!

from ew.com

Everyone made a really good effort except Lantie. She got frustrated and used umbrella and rain boots, which is not unconventional! Andrea made some crazy dots creation. I thought Melissa had a bad ass black creation that looked amazing just like leather. Nathan had a really heavy piece that was laden down with candy. Alicia had an orange and green one shoulder overall think. Fabio had some blue dress, Demitri's whole top was out of fabric but still safe. Kooan is so crazy, but he came up with something they enjoyed. Chris and Raul blah.

Top Three...

Gunnar - His piece looked like raffia when finished
Sonjia - my personal favorite. Made this necklace out of candy blue sharks and blue skirt and top. Very cute!
The winner - Ven - surprise! But he did this amazing couture dress with crushed up rock candy as the insides. Amazing

Bottom Three.....

Elena - used this pina colada licorice that kept falling off, horrible.
Buffi - who had this pink candy supreme, but she is safe
The loser - Lanti - thank the lord. She didn't listen, defended her ideas and used fabric!

Project Runway: Season 10 Premiere

And we are back! The first hour is meeting the new 16 designers. I have to say they all have the same funky, quirky aesthetic. Some are more far gone than the others, but still. Only one person Ven, has a nice classic look and one Melissa who likes black and leather. Everyone else is basically the same. Let's begin, shall we?

We meet all the designers and they have their first challenge. They needed to bring a look in that represents themselves. They have 1 hour and $100 to make a complement look to theirs to represent their style. They must do a fashion show in Times Square and then one designer will go home. Already they are gay cat fights between old contestant Gunner and Christopher. We have kooky Buffi who is from Dubai, really strange Asian Kooan (who I have no idea why he is on this show, other than entertainment value). Some older woman, Lantie and Andrea. We have Fabio who is a fregan - what is that you say? He dumpster dives for food, ew. Alicia the lesbian and Elena the space ager, Lady Gaga of the group. Guest judge this week is Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls and Patricia Field, costume designer from SATC.

The top....

Melissa - her bad ass black leather jacket and hot asymmetrical dress win it. I just hope she can do more than black or Michael Kors will send her packing.
Ven - his rose top and white creme pants were amazing and matching rose dress. He has serious style and will make it to the top 3.
Christopher - who was the winner. He made this really great dress and then an ill fitting dress. I am sure Gunnar was bitching about this win.

The bottom...

Koaan - thank the lord. His cheesy Asian outfit was too wacky for us. He needs to design in Asia!!
Lantie - one girl who wouldn't take criticism. When Tim Gunn told her he didn't like it, she didn't listen. She did this little ruffle piece and snakeskin thing and it was horrid, just like her attitude.
Beatrice - Very sweet girl but her looks were so blah. She only works with knit, so she did this gray dress with knit sweater and a last minute top with belt and skirt. They bid her goodbye and she is the first to leave!

My favorites to win.....

Ven
Melissa
Sonjia

Project Runway: Finale!

And the winner is....... MONDO! But let's backtrack just a bit shall we?

We are getting all ready for the mini runway show at Gotham Hall. Michael is having some snags backstage, with fabric being too large or too short, blaming it on only 4 days and not full  model fittings. Its Ok Michael, I still love you.

from ew.com

We have guest judged Ken Downing, who runs Neiman Marcus (I get his emails every week!) and Tommy Hilfiger. I have to say that even though I have had my favorites from the beginning (1. Michael 2. Mondo 3. Anthony) and 2/3 are in the top 3, I said to myself that I would judge the winner by their final collection. And off go the collections.

First we have Austin Scarlett (who Mondo comments that he stole Liza Minnelli's wardrobe, ahahah) who shows an AMAZING collection. He introduced it as punk rock , vampire collection who borrows clothes from his Hassid dandy friends. Oh boy. I thought he really rocked it. He had these wearable, versatile pieces and this wedding dress at the end to die for. He was my thought for winner.

from sheknows.com

Next we have Mondo, who did his Therapy collection. I think it was cute and quirky and this one pant suit was amazing. But I have to say that he designs very junior wear (which is his forte). And even the inkblot dress didn't wow me. I thought he would be last picked.

from sheknows.com

Then we have Michael, who is always so gracious. He talks about his collection being in the Serengeti. We have those gorgeous draped dresses and this one short and top that I loved. I would wear that as resort wear on my next trip. I do think that last year's winner Anya, rocked a better resort wear, but hey, she was only sewing for a few months!

from sheknows.com

The designers mulled over the collections and thought of how they did all season. Issac made me think he was interested in Michael's since he said its the most cohesive collection, while Tommy did too. I didn't hear much positive about Mondos, except for the pants.

First, Michael got sent home with a trip to Paris for 2. He was gracious and kind and loved how far he has come. Then they let go of Austin, who is not gracious and makes snarky faces. I really thought he would win, but I guess he didn't. Then the winner was MONDO. He was happier than a school boy! He cried and hugged everyone. His collections will now be sold at select Neiman Marcus stores and he will be guest editor at Marie Claire alongside Nina Garcia.

Good job Mondo! At least one of my top 3 took it home!

Who do you think should have won?
