Grimm: Organ Grinder

Creepy title right? This was loosely based on Hansel and Gretel. Hansen and Gracie to be more exact. They were two runaway kids who had a small pukka shell necklace business on the runaway side of town.

The show opens up with two guys running for their life. One is not doing so well and he ends up falling into the river. The other one gets captured by unknown men. Nick and Hank are called into the scene to investigate the river body. This guy was drained of 7 pints of his blood (vampires?) and his eyes were pecked out by birds. The medical examiner believes that his organs were ripped out as well as his blood. YUCK.

Nick tries to find out who knows more by checking out this runaways hood after he finds pukka shells in his pocket similar to a girl runaway he saw. He runs into Hansen and Gracie who tells Nick that a white van approached this boy and his brother Steven asking to work for $10 an hour and never to be seen again. Nick also feels bad for Gracie and her brother, so him and Juliet invite them to dinner to get more info.

Meanwhile, they go to to the clinic where all the runaways go to. They check with the general manager who cannot stop eating his sandwich long enough to help them and with the nice doctor who says this boy did check in but for a spider bite. Nothing wrong at the doc inn? We think not.

A man crashes his car and Nick is confused why he was brought in for this until he sees ice buckets and coolers of human body parts and blood bags. Some of that blood matches the missing kid. The driver changes into a creepy monster with a huge nose before he dies. He goes to see Monroe after looking up in his book what this monster could be. Monroe says that they like to harvest human organs after they cut them open while still alive. Creepy. He says that monsters uses human ones as medical remedies. He then has a funny scene with Nick where he asks if Nick knows his favorite color and says that they never talk about anything non Grimm related. Haha. Hysterical and well played Silas Weir!

Monroe goes to the medicine shop to buy ground up gallbladder for $300. Nick then busts the shop keeper and finds out the number to where the guy who delivers is and an address. He then kicks in all of the human organ powder and his stock is depleted.

The captain, Nick and Hank are off to bust the address. The guy comes out guns ablaze and they shoot him dead. They find a huge display of organs and other human things and the stench is unbearable even for the captain. Nick grabs this guys phone and redials the last number. Its to the clinic. Uh oh. Dirty docs ahead!

Meanwhile, Hansen and Gracie get picked up by the white van. They are brought back to the medical set up where they are going to be stripped of their organs. Gracie is first, says the mean doc and the general manager of the clinic. Nick and Hank break in and save the day. They found their way by the pukka shells that Hansen left as a trail of breadcrumbs, or really the only reference to Hansel and Gretel I have really seen.

All is saved and the Grimm wins the day.

But the twist....

Finally! The captain gets a present. Its a box with a reaper signature and a live ear inside. The ear of someone that captain had killed. Someone on the phone tells him that he doesn't like the way he does business with his Grimm. I have this feeling the captain was supposed to watch Nick and make sure he doesn't succeed like his aunt. But the captain also feels like Nick is doing good. But who is on the other end of the phone?

  1. Nick is still grasping for hope and bumbles out a request for Monroe to, you know, show a little of his wolfie self to Juliette. It was kind of an ice-breaker as it were. But the vast majority of humans can't process that information, and he refused. This episode was both a good and bad thing at the same time. I wish I got the chance to watch this on TV last Friday you see, so I watched this show yesterday at DISHOnline, it’s a place I can go to find new entertainment as well as catch up on TV shows too. As a DISH customer and employee I have access to a ton of movies and TV shows that I can access anywhere I’m connected online (and this is also for non customers too). As far as Grimm goes, it’s the one of the best shows out there right now and I really like it, and I can’t wait until the next episode.
