Desperate Housewives - SERIES FINALE

So sad, really so sad. This two hour series finale does not do this show justice after 8 years with these girls. Let's begin shall we?

Part I: The Trial

Karen is off to hospice care. The girls all pitch in to take turns watching her so she can die at home. She is forever grateful for this. Bree's trial is under way and Ben is taking the stand. He refuses to answer so he gets put into jail. Renee goes to visit him and the DA learns that she saw Bree with a shovel that night. They put her on the stand and the evidence is now really incriminating. They then put Gaby on the stand after she begged him not to. We learn that Ramon was really her step father. Karen comes forward and admits that she saw this all and hit him over the head. They refuse to press charges since she is dying and the case is dismissed! Only problem is, Bree is furious with Trip. Tom comes to see Lynette to say he is filing the divorce papers. He thinks she has a new boyfriend. Tom goes to see Roy and he tells him to say these things while people are alive. He then tells Lynette he loves her and she loves him back and they are finally together again!!! HOORAY.

from abc.com

Part II: The wedding

Katherine has returned to Wisteria lane and she wants to offer Lynette a job to run the US side of her frozen food company. She has tons of money and rubs it all in their faces. She is toying with the idea, but its in NY and her Tom just got back together.

Renee is super bridezilla, so on the way to the wedding, Julie's water breaks. She makes them stop at Gaby's store (which she just became VP of sales) and get a new dress, which they steal and run out on the security guys. Susan thinks Julie's OB is hitting on her and tries to set them up.

from abc.com

We have a musical montage of the birth, the death of Karen and the wedding simultaneously.

Julie gives birth and the grandparents are super happy. Karen passes away listening to the song "Wonderful" on repeat. The wedding goes on and everyone is there. Trip is with Bree and Carlos with Gaby. We are all smiling and happy and I am sad and nostalgic.

We then cut to four years later on how they all turned out

Bree is running for office with Trip by her side
Carlos and Gaby are running a personal shopping web site
Lynette and Tom move to NY and have a huge penthouse and tons of grandkids
Susan is leaving her house and sees the woman who is moving in who has new secrets of her own.

As she drives away we see all the ghosts of Wisteria Lane. We see Mike, the crazy pharmacists, Martha Huber, the woman who gave her liver to Susan, Carlos's mother, the cop, its just beautiful and of course Mary Alice at the end.

I cant believe they are gone, but happy the way ABC did homage to my favorite girls

Desperate Housewives: 2nd Before Last

I can't believe that next week will be the series finale of one of my favorite shows. I have watched this since the beginning. You can find a really nice timeline of all the seasons here. I am excited to say that the 2 hour finale is supposed to bring back some old faces. Let's begin shall we?

Renee: Getting married still and making Lynette wear this hideous purple dress. Lee helps Lynette put it on and take it off.

Susan: She is going through birthing Lamaze with Julie. After Porter doesn't show up, then shows up and faints, she realizes something. She wants to sell her house, with all of the Mike memories and move with Julie and MJ to help watch the baby so she can finish school.

from abc.com

Gaby: Is debating the decision she made by letting Bree take the fall for the murder her and Carlos committed. She realizes this when she sees her daughters fighting and one throwing the other one under the bus. Will she finally come forward?

Bree: Is getting ready for her murder trial. Trip has been interviewing the other girls, making sure their stories are down pat. She gets a bit jealous when she sees a blonde working for him (I think she played Debbie on True Blood), but realizes she is just an investigator. The investigator finds out that Ramon is really Alejandro and Gaby's uncle. The prosecution finds her suicide note and makes he read it. She is in love with Trip and willing to take the fall for Gaby, but why? Will he get her out of it?

from abc.com

Lynette: I have to say that I really hope this ends well. I am rooting for them. She tells new boyfriend that she wants Tom not to go to Mumbai. He says fine and then she breaks it off with him and says its another guy. I kept screaming to the TV, wait to tell him! He goes in to work and starts complaining about Lynette dumping him for another guy (Tom smirks, knowing its him) and starts talking about Lynette badly. Tom punches him and gets fired. Jane realizes why he was fired and she leaves too, because Tom admits he still loves her. Tom goes to profess his love for her and sees Lee unzipping her dress, oh no!

Trial is next episode and the wedding and a bang! I am really going to miss these ladies!

Desperate Housewives: Bree's Going Down

After this only two more episodes left to the finale and I believe the writers are doing this one right. They are making it more and more interesting, which I love. Let's see how the girls on Wisteria Lane are doing, shall we?

Renee: It's her bridal shower and its very traditional. She is getting cooking and baking items and she is not happy. She wants something more scandalous. Well, just when the strippers show up, that's when the real cops do and arrest Bree for murder.

Bree: She gets taken in for the murder of Alejandro. She has her lawyer Bob get her out, but he is not a criminal lawyer so she needs one. He sends her over to meet with one who is a killer. (Played by Quantum Leap's own Scott Bakula) The phone call, was about a dead pet. The fingerprint was from clothes that she donated to good will. But he wont take her case. He thinks she is not dangerous enough. The cops on the case really want to put her away, especially Chuck's old partner. They go to the dead guy's motel and find a map he used that he circled Wisteria Lane. He writes in Bree's address and pretends it was there. Still, no motive. She gets worried, but the sleazy lawyer takes her case anyway and the cops don't want to back down, but how do they link her to him? He tells her he took the case, because maybe she didn't kill him, but she knows who did.

from abc.com

Gabby: She has her new job as a personal shopper and finds that the men's department is where she can make more money. She even tells some guy his ankles are sexy to get him to buy cashmere socks. She leaves her ring at home and dresses sexy and Carlos is upset. She takes him out to dinner and one of her clients is there. She tells him that Carlos is her brother, I swear this whole scene i was on the floor laughing. He gets mad that she is paying for things and they are fighting. But I have to say, this was Carlos' choice so he must live with it.

from abc.com

Susan: She is cleaning out Mike's closet and finds a lock box. Lee (who is taking a break from I hate my teenage daughter) opens it for her. There is a checkbook where Mike has been writing monthly checks to a Jenny Hernandez. Susan thinks he had a lover, then another kid and goes there with Julie to find out. It is an autism home for Mike's sister that his mother gave up and told him about 8 years ago. She decides to get to know her, Laura, and write the checks. This makes Julie realize she will keep her baby.

Lynette: I saved this for last. She is making Tom his annual birthday cake. Meanwhile, Jane and him are talking about his divorce papers. He signed them a while ago and doesn't want to give them to her yet. She takes it upon herself to deliver them to Lynette and Lynette douses her with green cake batter. YIKES. Well she deserved it. Lynette confronts Tom about the papers and he says that he didn't want Jane to give them to her, she signs them after he cannot say whether or not he wants a divorce. She spends the next few minutes crying in her car. My heart breaks for her. Tom and Jane have a fight and he tells her that if she wants to be in his life, he has to understand he will always love Lynette. Can they just get back together please?!

Desperate Housewives: Renee is Engaged

I am getting very sad about the countdown. Let's check in with the girls on Wisteria Lane and see where they are now.

Renee: Renee is sick and tired of not being proposed to after all she has been through. She basically takes the ring out of Ben's pocket and proposes to herself, before the police take him away for questioning. It seems they found a dead body on his property and need to ask him some questions. She wants a huge elaborate wedding and wants to tell everyone on the lane about it.

from spoilertv.com

Susan: MJ is not dealing well with Mike's death. Instead of a real meal he wants ice-cream and instead of sleeping at 3am, he wants to play video games. Susan is letting him do this to ease his pain. Julie is against it. Susan finally gets a call from his teacher. MJ threw a stapler at her head and on purpose and then said bulls eye after he hit her. Susan gets so mad that she doesn't understand he lost his father and gets violent and throws things off her desk and hurts the teacher's foot. She is forced to realize she cant let MJ act this way. They have a heart to heart and throw the jam they got from a neighbor at the wall in the garage to ease their pain. They both cry together. Such a sweet moment. He really is a great kid.

Gabby: She is deciding she will get a job, but when she sees the career counselor she tells her she has no skills. That is after Gabby tells her she wants 4 weeks off, high pay and less work to do. She then decides to go on a shopping binge, even though they have to scale back. She buys everything in the store and is like Mary Poppins as she puts outfits and accessories together like magic. They love her so much. After she has to return everything, they beg her to work there. She agrees, especially since she gets 40% off as an employee.

Lynette: She is on mission to get Tom back. She even enlists Penny to help her by getting Jane to take her to a Taylor Swift concert so Lynette can hit on Tom. She pretends the power is out and lights all of these candles to set the mood. She then tempts him with wine and beef bourguignon (which from Julia and Julia, I remember is amazing). They eat and look at old pictures of when they were still dating in New York. Then a candle burns up his shirt and she turns on the lights, which he thought was out and realizes why he is there. He tells her its not fair that she waits until now, when Jane has moved in to make a move. I happen to agree. He tells Jane he got burnt from something else and she wants to make love and he says no. I think he might be thinking about Lynette too as Lynette and Penny talk about her and Tom belonging together. How adult these kids are!

Bree: Andrew comes home and tells her he is in love. It is a girl though. Bree is confused as Andrew is definitely gay. As they sit down to dinner, Bree learns that she is an heiress to a custard fortune and Andrew must be having money troubles. She throws him a faux engagement party with all of his gay friends so that she will find out. But she already knows. Once a fat ugly girl, she turned to Andrew as a companion and is ok with it. Bree convinces her that love will find her and they break up. Bree offers to take Andrew in with her and help him pay off his debt and find love again. Another adult kid conversation.

from abc.com

Too bad the police are hot on Bree's trail, as they tap her phone (or Ben's) to hear her thank him for helping put that body in the ground after she killed him. Uh Oh Bree. Be careful what you say on the phone. Is Ben in on it too?

Desperate Housewives: Mike's Funeral

I was bawling during this episode. During the funeral service and the grave sight I couldn't stop crying. This was so sad as if I knew Mike or the ladies or anything, but still. Super emotional. Each of the residents are reminiscing about times of their past as well as memories of Mike Delfino.

Gabby: Gabby remembers when Carlos bought her wedding gown for her. Her MIL was not too happy about it and warned him that if he gave in now, he would give in the rest of his life. He told her to be quiet and how happy Gabby made him. She smiled, took the dress and then asked for diamond earrings. He said he would always take care of her. Flashback to her making dinner for the girls and looking not so fab, he came home from work and finally let her get a massage as he fed the girls and put work on the back burner. Flashback to Mike visiting him in rehab and talking to Gabby about how he understood how Mike was feeling. She then flashes back to the present life telling him he can quit his job.

Bree: On her way to the funeral when the cop stops her. He tells her she must come in for questioning. She does and she flashes back to baking with her mother as a little girl. Her mother tells her to make the MASK, which is a slight smile not show how she is feeling. She then uses that Mask in her next memory of her and Rex. She finally tells him why she was upset and he laughs at her. Then to the present of the cop getting the same mask and believing her. That is, until they take the DNA off the mug she drank coffee from. Her prints are a match to the one's on the body they dug up. Uh oh Bree.

from abc.com

Lynette: Her and Tom hug as Jane watches on and is uncomfortable. She remembers being on their first date and telling Tom how she didn't want a family and wanted to be a VP. Then flash forward to her pregnant with the twins and him buying the house on Wisteria Lane because he knew she would love it. Another flash to seeing Mike as Tom was moving out and he asks her why she is not fighting for him. She realizes what she must do. She must get her man back! You go girl.

Susan: The funeral is upon us and Susan is trying to think of what to say. She flashes back to their wedding night and how he sang her a poem "I love you once, I love you twice, I love you more than beans and rice". Then she flashes back to a time at a diner with her, Mike and MJ. He asks what heaven is like and he tells him its about all the things you love. Heaven is eating cheeseburgers, watching football as mom brings us snacks and being fishing at their favorite pond. She gets up and recites some words and tells them that Mike is in a better place, heaven. And talks about the burgers and the fishing and the sports. The men carry out his coffin as Renee sings out Amazing Grace. So beautiful.

from abc.com

At the grave site, they lay him to rest and she lays a rose on his coffin and MJ puts his glove there. She says the I love you poem and lays him to rest. SO SAD. I cried the entire last half of this episode. Then she goes to see her friends and asks for their help with her tires and her bills and MJs pitching. They offer their and their husband's help. They will not let her suffer.

from abc.com

Only a few episodes left and if anything like this, I wont have enough tissues to help me!

Desperate Housewives: Goodbye Mike

I know the title gives it away, but this blog is all about spoilers. I knew that one of the main people would be dying, but to think it would be the most lovable one, is shocking. Mary Alice voices over that one of us will end up dead on the lane. I am still hoping for her character to come back, not really ever dead.I knew it was coming and towards the last two minutes, my heart sunk. Read on, shall we? As we mourn the life of Mike Delfino....

Bree/Karen: Karen is dying and asks Bree if she can help kill her. She wants her to run her over or help her eat suicide pie. Bree convinces Karen to stick around and spend her last days with people she loves. That is, after eating two slices of suicide pie and basically driving herself to the emergency room. The letter that Orson sent is still on its way to the police station. The cop handling it knows the name Bree because of breaking Chuck's heart and goes to dig up a grave site. Uh oh ladies. Jig is up!

Gaby/Carlos: Carlos is out of rehab and Gaby buys him a new tie with his money (how sweet) to go back to work. You can tell he is struggling with this. She gets a call from his secretary saying she needs to come down there. She sees a line out the door of his office. He is giving everyone who lost their job for a deal he made a while back a check for $50K. Since the firm is stopping checks, he is writing them from his personal account. He tells her how he wants to do something meaningful with his life and how he doesn't want to go back to work. She tells him that he needs to suck it up, because she did while he was an alcoholic. They got a family cat and Juanita goes to get him and almost falls out the window until Carlos goes to get her. This shows them how important family is rather than money, but Gaby has a different idea.

Lynette/Tom: The funniest part of the whole episode. It is Penny's birthday party and she is going all out. Tom comes in with Penny's gift and a bottle of champagne for Lynette for being in labor for 22 hours with her. She thinks something is up. He tells her that he wants Jane to come to the party. She doesn't agree. The party is here and its great. Jane shows up and gives Penny a professional photographer as her gift. Except all the photos are of Jane and Penny, not Lynette. So she tries to get into each one. First she jumps on the trampoline with them, then just smiles next to them and finally eats the ice cream with them. Jane and her have a heated talk and she calls her some woman until Jane tells Lynette they are moving in together. She pulls Tom aside and asks about this. It has only been three months on a trial separation and they will be living together? I felt so bad for her. My heart sunk. She always gets the short end of the stick. She knows what comes next, engagement, marriage? Jane comes over the next day to apologize and almost chokes on a cheese puff. Lynette seriously considers not helping her. I thought for a minute she wouldn't, then she does.

from abc.com

Mike/Susan: They go to see a cop about the bookie and tell him that they are in danger. There is nothing he can do, since Mike didn't approach them the first time. She goes to see Renee and he tells her what a great man Mike is. They sit and chat on their front step about why she loves him and why Mike is so protective. His mom used to get beat by his dad. They are about to go inside and she tells him he still needs to fix the fence. Just then a car pulls up. My heart skips a beat because I know what is coming. They yell Delfino and he pushes Susan out of the way and gets shot in the chest. He does a whole flashback montage of their time together from the first meeting to the last. So sad. He is dead, truly dead. Because hey, this is the final season and they can kill people.

from abc.com

Next week, the death of Mike and the funeral and the questioning of Bree in the murder. Will she take the whole rap for everything? Will someone else die? Do you think Karen will? And do you think Mary Alice is still alive hiding out somewhere?

Desperate Housewives: Goodbye Orson

Only 7 episodes left until the finale of this season. I have said it before and I will say it again, I am going to really miss these girls. Let's see how they pan out this episode, shall we?

Lynette: Lynette and Tom meet with Porter to discuss his life plan now that he is keeping the baby. He tells them he got a job at a restaurant but needs someone to watch the baby all day. Lynette refuses, seeing that she still has a 1 year old on her arms. So sad, that her and Tom cant work it out. Tom offers to take the kids away for one week so she can have some alone time and she isn't too happy. She likes being needed. Porter asks for the bassinet that all the kids used and says he wants to name the baby Lynette. She is super touched but that does not change her mind.

Susan: Susan meets up with Porter and offers her time to watch the baby. She decides to turn Julie's room into a nursery and they talk about making the room black and white like a French girl and naming the kid Sophie after her mother. Lynette is less than happy about this as she comes over and they fight about the name and she drags the bassinet out of the house. Tom goes to talk to Susan about how Lynette needs to be needed and Mike goes to talk to Lynette about how Susan wants Julie to love her. They end up making up and work together on the nursery, sans Julie.

Gaby: Carlos is getting out of rehab so she buys one balloon and a bottle of champagne for herself. She tries to kick out Roy but he tells her how selfish she is. She goes to see Karen to fix things up. Karen ends up fainting and Gabby checks her into the hospital. After pretending to be her daughter, she learns that Karen has cancer again. She tells Roy about it and they reunite. Super cute. She puts all these balloons up and things for Carlos' return and re-evaluates how selfish she has been.

Renee: The loan shark is back at her house trying to intimidate her into giving him more money. She refuses and has a nasty run in with him. She goes to visit Ben at the hospital and tells Mike about how well he is doing. He sees lights on in her house and sees the loan shark messing up her place. They get into a fight and Mike beats the stuffing out of him. He warns him he will be back and that Mike should've killed him. I am a bit afraid for Renee. Doesn't anyone lock their doors anymore?

from abc.com

Bree: Bree is ready for the trip to Maine with Orson. She tells him that she wants them to wear their matching monogrammed hats, but he left his at home. She says they are going over there to get it. While they are there, Orson tries to hide all the evidence that he knows about the murder and sent the notes. He misses the garbage can however and Bree discovers this. He tells her that he knew but did this to protect her, isolate her from her friends and get her to love him again. She tells him she wants him out of her and never wants to speak to him again. She gets a call from him saying he wants to kill himself and he says he wont, but tells her that she will pay for what she did. End episode with a manila envelope addressed to the police probably containing all of the photos and pictures of the girls committing the crime.

from abc.com

Next week they tell us someone will die. Will it be Karen or one of the girls, possibly Renee? And Juanita is up on a ledge? YIKES.

Desperate Housewives: Porter is the father!

Porter and Presten move home and Linette is less than pleased. She tries locking them out of the front and back doors. Susan tells her about the pregnancy as they overhear on the stairs. Right then, I knew one of them was the dad. Susan has this idea to find out who the father is so that he can fight for the right of Julie's baby. Susan is SO selfish here. Why not let your daughter get the right education first? She overhears Julie is going to meet the dad and goes to spy on her. She runs into Porter and now she knows who the dad is. He wants to care for this baby so Susan tells Linette and she is less than happy. Julie is mad at her mother for taking away her choice and rightfully so. I am hating Susan right about now too.

from abc.com

The girls hear about Orson staying with Bree and try to see her. He tells them to leave and doesn't tell her about it. He has a hidden motive. He wants to run away with her to Maine and be with her there and tells her not to reconcile with the girls. They said mean things about her. He tells her how he rehabilitated by learning to drive. He saw the whole murder, the cover up, put the note in her mailbox and more than likely ran over Chuck. I am not sure what he is up to, but we definitely know that anything can happen on this final season.

from abc.com

Ben has to pay back the loan shark and he doesn't have it. He tries to blow up his equipment for insurance money. Mike asks Renee to help him out and she goes to see him in the hospital after he had a minor heart attack. He tells her he wants to marry her, so she invites the loan shark to her house to pay him off. Bad idea. I can see this going south, really soon.

Gabby takes in Roy after Karen kicks him out. He starts to discipline the girls and she is loving it since Carlos is gone and cannot help her. She tries to keep Karen and him apart, which is really selfish. We learn that Karen has cancer and will probably die, so that's why she kicked out Roy. Gabby better help them get back together, or so help me.

Desperate Housewives: Let's Save Bree

Let's check in with the girls on Wisteria Lane...

Lynette: She is on another date with Frank the hairdresser. He decided to give her another chance. He tries to sleep with her but he tells her she has not prepared. They have another date and she is ready to sleep with him before dinner even begins. She ends up crying and blowing her nose in the sheets. When Renee comes by to see how it went, she realizes that she is finally moving on and its scary. He ends up coming over with pizza and they have a great time together, sleep together and possibly start a new relationship. Where are the kids? I have never seen the Scavo house so quiet!

Gaby: Juanita is in love with this boy Ryan at school. She is decorating a special cupcake for him but she does not get a valentine in return. Gaby makes one up and pretends its from Ryan. She signs it in chocolate, XOXO. Juanita thinks she got one from Ryan and after Gaby tells her what XOXO means she tries to pin him down at school and kiss him. Gaby has to explain to her she sent the card and then tell Juanita where her father really is. They end the episode with Juanita and Gaby visiting Carlos at rehab. Gaby is truly hysterical, don't you think?

Susan: Julie is visiting and she cannot wait. She gets 30 different boxes of cereal, because they used to have cereal dinners when they were alone. Julie walks in about 6 months pregnant. She tells Susan and Mike she is giving the baby up for adoption to a nice family who lives near by. Susan is not happy by this, she wants a grandchild. They invite the family over to meet Susan and spend time with Julie. They love her. When Julie goes to get dessert, Susan sabotages it. She tells them Julie is a mental case and shouldn't even be around knives. They end up leaving and Julie lets Susan know the truth. She didn't love having a single mother. She was too busy cleaning up the mess of her mother to enjoy her childhood. For once Susan is not miss nicey nice, she is actually shown in a light that I am glad they shower her in. She realizes that Julie is right and able to make her own decisions.

from abc.com

Bree: Bree is still being the town whore. Her old friends are busy talking about her on the porch across the street. She even meets a guy at a bar, tries to pick him up and then forgets she slept with him 2 nights ago. Renee tells Lynette that she took Bree drinking and LIGHTBULB. Lynette realizes that Bree is off the wagon again and tells the other girls. They realize they have been mean to her too long and try to make amends. Bree comes home with another guy and find the three of them in her living room. She tells them that she almost tried to kill herself because of them and they all feel horrible. They say they are here for her and love her. She refuses them and tells them to leave.

She heads to the bar and orders a drink as a vile man comes over and tries to take her home, sans the small talk. She says no and he doesn't listen. He follows her to her car and tries to rape her. Just then, Orson wheels up in his wheelchair and tries to defend her. The man doesn't listen until Orson tasers him. Yikes. He goes back with Bree to her house to help her. Apparently, her friends called him and he came to save the day.

from abc.com

Do you think he was the one to run over the cop?

How will this all end? I have no idea, but I think that somebody dies in the next episode and I am pretty sure its one of the main people. Guess we will have to wait and see!

Desperate Housewives: Being Good

We start off with Bree shooing men and in and out of her house at 4:00am, because Mclusky gets up at 5:00am. Some of them are more persistent than others as they want her phone number and to see her again (hello you know where she lives), so she offers them a muffin as they leave. She has become not only a drunk, but the town slut. Good job Bree.

Gaby is planning on remodeling her home (prob a good idea to get rid of the rug with the blood on it) and asks Lynette and Renee to do the job. We find out that Lynette is ready to start dating. She goes with Renee to her hair salon and wants to get set up with her hairdresser. Renee is adamant about this, but concedes. Lynette goes on a date with him and things are off to a good start. He begins to talk about why it didn't work with his ex, she was too controlling, blah blah and Lynette chimes in with her pushy thoughts. She tries to seem cool but with every "although" she pushes him farther and farther away. Renee however gets the brunt of this as her stylist makes her hair look like an afro. "He was the only man in this Podunk town who knew how to relax a black woman's hair, damn Lynette!"

Ben is on to the plan of asking Renee to marry him so he can inherit her money. He even gets rid of his huge fish he has hanging on his wall. He proposes to her with a huge freaking rock and after she sincerely cries and says yes and she can finally trust a man again he takes it back. He tells her the real reason for the proposal. He loves her, but this is not right. Now her and Lynette are single again, together. Ben also decides to take the money from the loan shark, what a bad move.

from abc.com

Meanwhile, Claudia shows up at Susan's door screaming for her husband. She thinks Susan is having an affair with him. Susan begs her to leave but the next day sees fliers all around the neighborhood saying "have you seen this man? Your neighborhood slut Susan Delfino has", I died. I swear. Stupid Susan. She always lets her good nature get her into trouble. Do we not remember the porn maid service? Gaby sees these and calls Claudia after she learns that Marissa, her daughter, was also being molested by Alejandro. She tells Claudia the truth and she doesn't believe her until Marissa comes in and says "will you believe me?" and they cry and hug. My heart clenched. Such a touching moment and well acted. "At least you believed her" Gaby says with a broken spirit. Claudia sees the red blood stain and even after being told it was wine, she realizes who's blood it is and says nothing more than "you better throw that out".

from abc.com

Back over at the bar, Bree has her eyes on some young man candy as the priest comes over and tells her to stop this before it gets bad. She refuses and he tells her she cannot run the bake sale. She doesn't care and shows up anyway after drinking an entire bottle of wine and baking a strawberry tart. She walks in super bony and sets up shop. She sees the guy from the other night who wanted to get to know her and tries to hit on him although he goes running. A woman, of course his wife, asks how they know each other and there is a cat fight. This woman calls Bree the town whore and after being kicked out, she walks away owning her status. Apparently she likes strange men and doesn't care who knows it.

Excited for next week, I saw that Danielle is pregnant. AGAIN? Damn, it must run in that family. And are we going to have more with the secret killer? And will somebody die? Yikes, when is this season over? Tear.

Bree Goes Skinny Dipping

Ahhh, to the title be true, but let's get back to that. Let's see what the housewives are up to on Wisteria Lane tonight.

Bree finally does the right thing and shows the note to the girls. Gaby has a funny line about not using an accusatory tone, but she IS however accusing her, haha. I really do belly laugh with these girls and would be sad to see them go.

She is hauled up in her house, drinking wine like its going out of style with Renee her new bestie. Renee is feeling neglected by Aussie boyfriend so she takes Bree out to a dive bar (dive right in!) to troll for men. Bree ends up being more uptight than usual, but lets her hair down, literally after meeting a man in a custom made three piece suit. She drinks with him all night and then says she wants to go home with him. They are skinny dipping in his pool (I swear this scene ALWAYS happens) when his boss comes home. It really was his house. She walks out with a floating raft covering her hoo-hah and her dignity drowned in that pool.

Meanwhile, Lynette is having trouble with the flickering light. Tom is the one who always fixes things. She tries to fix it herself, but ends up ripping out the wall. She finally realizes he is gone for good and hires an electrician. She is approached by Gaby to teach her the business world. Gaby who has gotten by on her looks alone, doesn't listen and writes down buzz words like "fiduciary" to get her through a business meeting to sign on a 90mil client.

At this dinner, she writes down the buzz words in her menu, but after it was taken away she is literally left with nothing to say. What she should have done was ask Lynette to come and pitch since she knows the business in and out.

Susan is still off on a mission to find the dead rapists' family. She offers the wife a check for her old legos. She then realizes that the step-daughter hates him just as much as Gaby did and reassures her that he will NEVER come back. She ends up telling her mom about this convo, and after she gets her name off the check, all of the pieces will soon come together. This is why I hate Susan. She is a no good, goody too shoes who is super annoying and not holy at all.

Meanwhile, Ben's business is going belly up and almost makes a deal with a loan shark but Mike stops it. Ben then realizes he should be a bit nicer to Renee since she is 12mil richer. I can see him proposing in the future, cant you?

This may have been a filler episode. Let's hope the drama heats up next week before we kiss them goodbye!

One Desperate Funeral

Renee comes in to rescue Bree before she blows her brains out. She moves in with her and helps her come to her senses because her mother killed herself when she was little and she wont let someone else go through it.

It is Chuck Vance's funeral and all the girls are there. Susan is trying to bolt to NY still but every time she does hunkie hubby Mike sans shirt comes out to stop her. Finally she realizes that she is going to Oklahoma City. She wants to make sure all of his family he left behind is ok. I am not sure what Susan is doing here, but she always has to be the goodie goodie. She ends up leaving in the end to go there.

Gaby finds Carlos drunk as a skunk in bed and tells him after the funeral he is to check into rehab again. At the funeral, funniest part. Carlos says I cant believe there are so many cops here and Gaby says "Its a cop funeral, what did you think there would be clowns?" I died. I laughed so hard. I love these girls and I will be sad to see them go. A cop recognizes Carlos, because when he was drunk last night he went into confess about murdering someone with a candlestick. Lucky for him, that's when they got the APB that Vance was hit. So I guess Carlos is not the murderer. He is going back to rehab, but not before Gaby tells him if he ever confesses again, she will bury him as well.

Lynette is thankful to Tom for sticking by her and letting Jane go to Paris. It seems like they may rekindle after he accepts to come over for movie night and offers to bring pizza. Lynette ruins it of course. She criticizes the fact that the pizza is not thin crust. They discuss this and she says after 26 years she would have hoped he would know by now. True. But still, not the time to criticize at such a fragile point in their relationship. She tells him to go to Paris to find Jane after he goes on and on about how amazing she is. He agrees but asks if he can at least watch the movie. Bittersweet.

Final scene, Bree is going to her mailbox and finds a letter addressed to her that's says "You're welcome". OK creepy. But who. Here are my theories:

Mary Alice - never died, who knows where she has been but its her
Her creepy hubby - came back to the lane
Or their son - came back again? off the crack?
Edie? Doubt she would be back or Catherine? same for her....

Who do you think is leaving the notes?

It all comes undone...

Why are all these mid-season finales happening? I cannot wait until January!!

Over at the lane, Bree is spiraling out of control. None of her friends are talking to her and she has taken to the bottle. So much that she gets wasted by herself and rudely joins a bunch of girls out for girls' night with the offering of a bottle of champagne. By the end of the night she is calling one of them Lynette and someone stumbles into Ben's apartment. Renee of course later sees this and gets upset that her man is cheating on her. Way to make more enemies Bree!

Over at the station, Chuck is stirring the pot. He calls the girls in for separate "friendly" conversations. Susan gets so nervous she wants to go to New York to paint for a few weeks. Lynette plays it cool and Gaby smirks at the photo of her dead stepfather. She claims that Carlos is drinking because he cheated on her. She goes to rehab to warn Carlos of the new story and needs to sneak in. She sneaks in with a family that is trying to get their son to check in.

Chuck latches on to Gaby's smirk, since he is all trained in mannerisms and does some diggings. He finds out she is the dead guy's stepdaughter and tells her she better get a lawyer and come in to see him in the station or he will send a squad car. Gaby calls rehab to find out that Carlos has checked out.

Lynette knows that she may get caught so she needs to let Tom know in case they take her away. Of course, Tom and his new gf are on their way to Paris, drinking champagne in a private lounge and kissing. Lynette follows to Tom to the bathroom and lets him know that he cant go away because she is an accessory to murder. Jane walks in and sees them talking and flips out. She loses her cool (hello, back off lady, Lynette is super important!) and Tom tells her they cant go. She takes the tickets and goes and tells him to meet her there. I love that their relationship hit a snag. I am still rooting for Tom and Lynette to get back together.

Bree goes to Chuck's office and tells him that she will admit to everything if he just leaves her friends alone. His claws begin to show when he tells her that he wants her to hurt like he hurt. He wants to take her friends away from her. He is pretty successful in this, when all of her friends have left her and left each other.

Chuck goes to tell Ben that they found a phone signal of the dead guy on his construction site and that this will shut down the project. Ben says its because he is out to get him because of Bree and then leaves Ben's house. Bree checks into a motel with a bottle of booze and a hand gun. She envisions Mary Alice and talks to her old dead friend.

We see Bree get into her car, we know Carlos is missing and we know Ben is mad. We see a racing car run over Chuck and only assume he is dead. But who hit him? Your guess is as good as mine. At least old Chucky is dead, that's a plus!

They are going to get caught

So much going on here on Wisteria Lane. It is hard to believe that this season is really ending. I cannot wait to see how it goes down. Here is what has happened this episode on Desperate Housewives.

Chuck is creepily in Bree's house right after she hears a noise (reminds me of Scream), although she is scared out of her mind, Bree never loses her cool. He reminds her that the silver car of the missing dead guy (Gabby's uncle that they killed) looked exactly like her faux aunt's car he caught her in a week ago.

Gabby is trying to cover up for Carlos' alcoholism by going to work for him and signing payroll. While she is there an 80mil client comes in demanding to speak to Carlos. She steps in and thinks that giving him the booty touche and flipping her hair (the moneymaker) will get him to quell his fears. In steps a junior associate to help out and of course Gabby tells him why Carlos is really out of the office. She should know better not to trust anyone. Finally, the 80mil client comes to Carlos' house and explains he has been there and helps Carlos check into rehab. Very touching scene.

Lynette. Poor Lynette. She gets flowers delivered to her on what would have been her 22nd anniversary from Tom. She thinks this is a sign (it never is - this reminds me of Big's assistant sending flowers to Carrie on SATC - sigh, I miss them) so she gussies up and curls her hair. She gets him a bottle of traditional anniversary scotch, steals the keys to Tom's apartment and goes to deliver the bottle and herself to him personally. When she gets there she hears voices, so naturally hides under the bed. When Tom and Jane start making out she gets up from her hiding place and reveals why she is there. After Jane leaves the room, Tom tells her that those flowers were a mistake (heart breaking) and he will never send them again (broken to pieces). My heart is throbbing for her. We have ALL been there.

Finally Susan, who ties this whole episode together. She gets critiqued by an art critic who decides her work is brilliant. He wants to display it a gallery but she refuses. They do it anyway and all of her work on the death and burial scenes are up for everyone to see. Of course, as the girls are whipping out their checkbooks to buy all 5 pieces (nice skeleton Suzy Q) crazy cop Chuck is standing behind them. He of course says that all the girls look familiar and the pretty redhead looks just like his Bree.

What I don't understand is why all the girls turn on Bree? Because she didn't mention that Chuck came by asking questions? They should be most mad at Susan for painting these pictures! She is going to be the string that comes loose on this whole case. Even if Alejandro is 50 feet underground and in cement. Who knows what crazy Chucky can find?

Finally, we end with Bree having a drink. There goes all those years of sobriety, literally down the drain.

I am going to miss these girls! Aren't you?

Controlling and Desperate = great combo

I have to start by saying that I laughed through the entire episode. There were a few lines that got me to do my coveted belly laugh. Gabby is in the car on the way home from the graveyard/construction site and she says that once they go to jail she is the littlest one and know that she will end up being someones bitch. I died.

A few things here.

Gabby and Carlos realize that they may all go to jail or worse, so they want to find a person who will look after their kids. They ask the gays of course Bob and Lee. They are a bit hesitant since the Solice kids are known to be monsters. I love how Lee keeps saying they don't know the smaller ones' name (Celia they shout!) but they think they are monsters. Gabby invites them over for dinner to see this is not true. She preps the girls with show tunes and good manners and really wows them. I love how she keeps shoving candy into Celia's mouth and money into Juanita's hand.

from abc.com

Susan and this art teacher are still at it. He finally makes her mad enough to make her paint her deepest darkest thoughts. She ends up painting 4 women around a dead body in a forest. Really smart Susan. Why don't you just confess?

We have Lynette who is still stuck with this new girlfriend of Tom's. I just don't understand why Tom is bringing her over to their house, its really rude. She gets into her daughter's head about Jane the new gf and tells her she shouldn't like her, because she stole daddy away from mommy. It ends with her crying in her car, and again, my heart goes out to her. How can she save this marriage? And why do guys always move on first! Damn.

Bree is being harassed by her ex/cop on the case of the missing man. He corners her and somehow knows she is lying to him and thinks she is involved. Ben (the Aussie who is dating Renee and doing the construction project) saves her and offers to help her get rid of the dead body. He then asks Mike to help him bury the evidence, which he does and they end up cementing over.

Finally, Mike tells Susan about the dead body cover up, and she goes to tell the girls, except they already know. Susan finally loses it and says something about why they are keeping secrets from each other (good point SuzyQ) and storms off.

Although light hearted and funny, this episode is starting to reveal that the girls may actually get caught if bad cop Chuck is still on Bree's tail. I am not sure how many episodes are left, but I am sad to see the girls go. Are you?

Halloween on Wisteria Lane

Sigh. I know this is the final season of Deperate Housewives. However, I have been a fan since season one. Its the same story as any other that I love, 4 best girl friends, living in gorgeous houses, murder, mystery, adultery and conniving. How could any girl resist?

This season it starts off with the death of Gaby's stepfather who used to abuse and rape her. Carlos killed him and being the best friends that they are, the girls help to cover it up and even bury him. (What good friends!) So Halloween on Wisteria Lane is about to bring the normal amount of surprises.

I am not really sure where they are going with this art class and art teacher scenario of Susan's. She has to babysit his son, who he only gets one weekend with, which apparently is too much for him. Good old, annoyingly perky Susan, dresses up as Glinda the good witch (the blonde wig does suit her) and takes him and her son MJ trick or treating.

My heart really does go out to Lynette in this season. First her and Tom call a separation and of course, like clockwork, the male moves on first. He is dating a smart, talented and successful doctor, who in another world would be besties with Lynette. (Doesnt that always happen?) This new gf tries to buddy it up with Penny and sew a Halloween costume for her. My heart ached when Lynette asked her to stop dating Tom for her. Would a 40 something divorcee even do that for a complete stranger? Doubtful.

Gaby/Carlos are dealing with his sudden interest in booze. All he can do since the murder is go into a drunken stooper. There is a funny side story of Renee (Vanessa Williams, hello Ugly Betty character, I miss you so!) and how she has an allergic reaction to some Chinese herbs.

Finally, Bree realizes that she needs to move the body before a huge construction is about to take place and someone finds it first. Cliffhanger? I think not. I knew that the body would be missing. Like clockwork I tell you.

The only thing I know about final seasons is - anything can happen. Main characters can die, marriages will not survive and either will the dignity of anyone else. I even think that the original deceased housewife - Mary Ellen, will return from the grave. I feel like she has been hiding out all of this time.

How do you think they will end the season?
