We open at the diner where they are having a lovers special. In walks Sophie with her girls hanging out. She has a sort of vile conversation with Oleg back and forth about having her come and how she will never come with him but others can make her come (I was cringing during this, were you?). She walks by Earl and he has a mini heart attack. Max and Caroline rush him to the hospital in Sophie's town car that she only gets when its raining. Her hair and nail extensions are too extended and she needs it!
They get there and there is a huge line. Max quips "what did a new ipod come out?" haha. The guy behind the desk is less than helpful. Max tries to threaten him so that she can get Earl in. He finally gives in. He begs the girls for a private room. The last time he was in the hospital his neighbor thought he was a bird and constantly asked for crackers all night. Caroline realizes her old connections may work here. She used to date the son of the family that owns that wing. She calls him and up and he is more than happy to give her a private room for Earl.
The room is like a hotel suite and he has the best care. Max feels like he is a father to her and wants to make sure he gets the proper care he needs. She even told the guy behind the desk she was his daughter. She shows her ID and it says last name BLACK and he's black so they MUST be related. Ahahah. To the lengths she will go for the people she loves.
Doctor David is being chummy with Caroline. He talks about his old college Tshirt that Caroline stole. She says that it is being held hostage at the town house but gives him a Williamsberg tee instead. He says he lives there too and she says they should go out sometimes. He immediately says no. He says with her family history he could never tell people he was dating her. Ouch. Max goes over and gives him a piece of her mind. Telling him he should be so lucky to be with a girl like her.
Back at the apartment, Max and Caroline talk about how her father always sent her flowers and she is sad this year not to get them. Just then Sophie walks in with two vases both for Caroline. The card says it is from her dad and the other one is for Max thanking her for taking such good care of his daughter. Super sweet. Max then says how she now understands what flowers do and wants to sleep with her dad, ahha.
Cute and light hearted. But I am hoping to see more depth in their personal love lives as well as more expansion of their cupcake business.
