Vampire Diaries: Elena's Sire

Ms Mystic Falls pageant is upon us. Caroline is hosting and she is also trying to keep Stephan sane while Elena breaks his dead heart. Caroline also lets Elena have it and lets her know what she really thinks about Damon. Tyler is taking Hayley to the dance, April is running and Jeremy is escorting her, Elena is going with Matt and Caroline is going with Klaus, to keep him busy. It seems that Caroline and Klaus may be better suited than we had thought.

Jeremy is having hunter dreams about killing his sister and whittling wood. Stephan needs to find him more vamps to kill to read the tattoo. He finds a murderer at the hospital and turns him into a vamp as Jeremy kills him. Looks like the hunter mark is stronger than we thought and Jeremy has a thirst to kill all vamps now.

At the dance, Jeremy goes to stab Elena in the neck. Stephen is there to save her. Matt saves April and escorts her when Jeremy is MIA. Professor Shane is there as well and him and Damon have words about his true thoughts. He is also chatting it up with Hayley. As Klaus and Caroline get closer, Tyler is more upset. Even though him and Hayley are breaking sire bonds as we speak. We learn that the cure is magically protected by a Bennet witch and we need Bonnie's powers to come back. Looks like everyone wants to break the vampire curse. Except Klaus that is, he doesn't want to be human.

Elena needs to move out and Matt moves in with Jeremy, since he is human. Elena moves in with Damon and Stephan. Damon and Elena finally get together and kiss and have hot steamy vamp sex. I LOVE them together. While this is going on, Caroline and Stephan realize that because Damon made Elena a vamp, he sired her and she is stuck on him. Could this be the reason for her love life?

We also see Hayley and the professor having secret conversations about the sire bond breaks. What are they up to?

Vampire Diaries: Madness

Elena is currently losing her mind since she killed the hunter. She is seeing blood, stabbing her brother and running from Stephan and Damon. She is even seeing visions of her mother telling her to kill herself. It seems the only way to stop it, is when another hunter is born. Jeremy must kill a vampire to get the infamous tattoo and become a hunter. He does and Elena has stopped going mad.

Caroline makes Klaus think that she broke up with Tyler over Hayley. Which is not true. Her and Hayls are actually good buds. Professor Shane is there trying to teach about old things. We also find out he was in contact with the minister throughout this whole thing.They even trust in him to ask about the mark of the hunter. Elena is thankful to Damon for saving her and starts to realize she might have to break it off with Stephan. They break it off and I am more than excited to see her with Damon!

Vampire Diaries: The Killer

Connor is asking the professor why he is here. He wants him to kill as many vamps as possible so his tattoo completes. That is why he sent him there, because Mystic Falls is like a hellmouth. The hunter takes more werewolf venom and breaks into the grill, trapping Matt, April and Jeremy hostage. He sends a text to all their vamp friends to save them. He wants to kill Stephen, Damon and Tyler. Did he forget Caroline?

We've go a side bit with Elena and Stephan both journaling. She doesn't like who she has become. But I guess that's too bad. When she hears that Jeremy is being held captive, she wants to break in. Stephan has been dealing with Klaus on the side (Klaus is in Italy digging up the sword) and he says not to kill the hunter so they can read the tattoo, but he cannot tell anyone. They devise a plan to break in underneath the grill.

The hybrids are all at Tyler's including Hayley and Caroline is not happy about this. She overhears Tyler telling Klaus to keep quiet about his affair with Hayley. He explains to Caroline he was really getting over his sire bond and would rather Klaus think he was cheating than that. One of the other hybrids takes orders to go to the grill and gets blown up and dies.

Meanwhile, Bonnie and the professor are trying to get her magic back by lighting candles. It ends up working in the end. Obviously he wants her powers back for some other hidden agenda. She is probably the key to breaking the curse, but who knows for sure.

Stephan breaks in and hides from Connor. Jeremy is confused why he doesn't remember his conversation regarding said tattoos with Connor and realizes he was brain washed. His vervain bracelet doesn't work so well. Elena comes in pretending to be sweet and then has it out with Connor. Stephan helps him escape but runs into Damon in the tunnels. He explains to Damon about the cure for Elena and then they cannot find Connor. He is in the woods and almost kills Elena until she turns around, bites him and then snaps his neck. She had no idea about the cure either.

Towards the end Matt and April were brainwashed not to remember and Jeremy gives April his bracelet. Then the tattoo begins to form on his hand. Elena cries to Stephan that she killed someone and she is really upset about it. She goes to wash her hands and there is blood all over the floor of the bathroom and killer is written in blood across the mirror. Uh oh Elena.

Vampire Diaries: The Five

We are introduced to the Five. Reminds me of the original slayer (Buffy!). Connor is one of them and is tied up in Klause's house. He makes Jeremy copy the tattoo that he can only see. Every vampire he kills, the tattoo grows. We learn from Rebekkah, that she used to date one of the 5, back in the day. Their sword with the same carvings is their secret weapon. Apparently it can change a vampire back to human. They wanted to get all the vamps and make them human again. Rebekkah thought she got close, but he staked her and Klause with white oak. The problem? Klauses' hybrid side, makes this ineffective.

Elena needs to control her feeding. She has Damon help her instead of Stephan. They go to a college to see a class that Grams used to teach, but now somebody else does. While at the party, Elena and Damon feed, dance and laugh. They have a great time, but then Elena realizes she doesn't want to be this person through Bonnie's eyes. Bonnie speaks to the professor and he asks if she is practicing and she says no.

Stephan and Klause team up, because Stephan hopes to bring humanity back to Elena and himself, so they can grow old together, have kids and die together. Very cute speech. He finds out from Rebekkah that the sword is buried with Alex. Klause then stakes her again. Messed up family! Klause leaves to find the sword and Connor breaks free and kills the vamp left to watch him. The tattoo grows. He then shows up at the professor's office and he says "why did you send me to Mystic Falls?" I guess he is part of the five as well!

Vampire Diaries: Rebekkah's Party

Tyler is in the hospital and the vamp hunter is there. Instead of trying to kill him, he withdraws werewolf fluid from him. Elena is busy feeding on Matt. The hunter comes to their school, after Rebekkah hands out fliers for a house party. Elena is so enraged, she wants to kill her. The hunter sees another bandage on Matt's arm and makes him tell who the vamps are. He points out Rebekkah.

Back at Tyler's house, Klaus is there with other hybrids. They are there to protect him. A girl named Hayley is also there. She had helped Tyler break the sire curse. She also had a thing with Tyler, which Klaus confronts him on. Damon tries to invade the hunter's trailer and gets caught with arrows attached to bombs. He calls Meredith to help him.

Rebekkah throws this big party and she steals Elena's ring from her. Cruel. She then gets it back. Matt tells off Rebekkah and makes her feel bad. Anyone who drank the beer, drank Werewolf venom and is sick, including Elena (who does a kick ass headstand) and Rebekkah. Jeremy gets approached by the hunter. He tells Jeremy he can see the tattoo, because he is a hunter in training. Very Buffy here. Jeremy leads Connor into a trap at the hospital. After Damon traps him there, him and Klaus try to figure it out. Klaus is amazed he is a hunter and one of the FIVE, whatever that means. They blow him up and the hospital.

Klaus saves Elena with his blood. We learn he did not kill the hunter. Why? Because being one of the five is very special. We wont know why however till next week.

Vampire Diaries: The Funeral

Stephan needs to get Elena used to animal blood. He takes her to kill a deer, but she throws it all up. Damon even lets her feed on him, but she vomits it and so on with a blood bag. The whole theme here is get newbie vamp Elena to feed.

There is a new vampire hunter, Connor Jordan. He goes to the site of the gas blow up and finds a note for Pastor Young's daughter April in the oven. He goes to meet the townsfolk and shake all their hands. Little do they know his gloves are seeped in vervain. Tyler's hands burn and he shoots him with wood bullets with carvings. Tyler is hybrid so he survives. Connor is out to find all the vamps and goes to hunt for them at the council's funeral. Bonnie is hold up in her house and won't come out since the re-death of Grams and her magic being stripped. Poor Bonnie, she should move away.

At the funeral....

April, the daughter is there and she may be Jeremy's new love interest. The hunter finds her and stabs her, then ties her down. He wants the blood from her to drip down and make the vamps so hungry. I swear, the funniest thing, when they can all smell the blood and whisper to not make a fuss, so they don't give themselves away. Hilarious. Elena cannot take it anymore, so Matt lets her feed on him. This does the trick. She needed blood from the vein. Then Tyler gets up to speak and the hunter shoots him. They find April and Elena gives her blood and compels her to forget. She is getting stronger, but needs human blood for a little while. Stephan is not happy.

Back at the grill, Matt with a bandaged neck and Jeremy meet the hunter. They shake, so he knows they aren't evil. Jeremy comments on this guy's ink. But he is the only one who can see it. Why? Can't he only see dead people?

They have a little funeral with Chinese lanterns. They say all the people they lost, light it and send it on its way. Damon doesn't care and goes to Alaric's grave. He talks to him and Alaric appears, so sweet. I wish someone could see him.

Vampire Diaries: Season Finale

Oh my! So much happening here, let's begin shall we?

We have flashbacks throughout of Elena when her parents were alive. She is in her cheer leading uniform, aunt Jenna is there, she is dating Matt, all is good in the hood before vampires. She is really in the hospital and needs to get home before Alaric finds her. He tries to come in and threaten Meredith that the council will take away her medical license but Elena is gone. He tries to find Klaus' body.

Meanwhile, Elena is deciding between Damon and Stephan. Stephan kisses her and she admits to Damon that she loves him. She met him first. Little did we know, another flashback shows that she met Damon first. He met her in the woods and thought she was Katherine. When he realized she wasn't, he hypnotized her to forgetting the whole meeting.

Matt decides this is no way for Elena to live and breaks her free. They start driving away after he drugs her with tea. While they are gone, Alaric finds Rebekkah and Damon with Klaus' body. They fight but in the end Ric wins and stakes Klaus' body. It was really freaky since his eyes were open in the casket and he got stakes and burned. Rebekkah and Elijah hug over the loss of their brother and want to run from Ric. They must kill Elena so that Ric dies.

Tyler and Caroline are told by their mothers to leave town. They decide to run away together, she says all she needs is a curling iron, lol. Once Klaus dies, Tyler will die too, so he starts to turn into a werewolf and die and tells her to leave. They kiss. He had been with Bonnie before that though.

Matt and Elena swerve off the road and crash their car. She has another moment of remembering when Stephan saved her when she was with her parents. The mother died, but the father was alive. He begged Stephan to save his little girl first and they all died. My thought is, Stephan is super strong and super fast, why not break them all free at once? This happens again and she tells Stephan to get Matt (she wastes all her energy yelling and eye twitching underwater) and he gets Matt out, but she dies.

The Kickers....

1. Because Elena dies, so does Ric. He comes in ghost form to speak to Jeremy and he realizes what happened.
2. Because Klaus died, shouldn't all the vamps die if they are his bloodline? Well, Bonnie did a spell to put Klaus into Tyler's body, so even though his body died he didn't. Which means what? Tyler will really die once they switch back? Klaus will live as Tyler? Did Klaus turn that bloodline?
3. Back at the hospital, Elena is there lying dead. Or is she? Meredith put vampire blood into her and she wakes up as a vamp! Is this too twilight or what? Will she now just love two brothers as a vamp!?

Vampire Diaries: Bye Klaus

Alaric is back and he keeps Caroline hostage with pencils through her hands and verbain in her mouth, yikes. He tells Elena she must come there to save her friend. She sneaks off to find her as Klaus goes to find Elena. He wants to leave town with her, but Rebekkah doesn't like that. They wont let him into the house, so he throws fences, soccer balls and almost blows them up to let him in. They all finally realize Elena is missing and in trouble.

At the school, Ric wont kill Elena, but she doesn't know why. She figures out that since the spell, her blood is tied to his. If she dies, he dies. Klaus rescues Caroline and sets her free and takes Elena for himself, knocking out Ric. There is a spell however to desecrate Ric. Bonnie must stop a human heart (Jeremy volunteers) and then stop Ric's and he will be asleep forever like Mikael was. They get close, but no cigar. Ric breaks free.

The boys are off to save Elena. She is being drained of her blood by Klaus. He wants her to die. Tyler walks in and sees Elena there and tries to save her, but Klaus compels him to stop. He eventually saves her and Klaus realizes the sire bond is over. The boys come in, do the spell on him instead and Jeremy's heart stops. He is revived, TG! Klaus is gone forever. I will miss him. RIP Klaus!

Ric has called a council meeting at the Mayors' house, where he tells everyone that Caroline is a vampire and Tyler is a werewolf. They are all shocked. But don't they realize he is not a vamp too!?

Back at home, the gang is all there. They throw a party for Elena to celebrate one night of happiness with no Klaus. Elena tells the boys she must choose between them. She knows if she does, she may lose one or both and she cant handle that right now. She has lost everyone that means something to her. After they all leave, she is drunk on tequila, lost all her blood, sniffing paint and then she faints as blood drips out of her nose. YIKES!

Next week is the season finale and we see Elena's parents and her aunt! Excited or sad, this is all ending?

Vampire Diaries: Ric Transforms

Esther is still using Rebekkah's body to carry out her evil plan. Her and evil Ric are going to try and kill all the originals. They first melt his ring into the white oak dagger which makes it a super weapon. She then performs a spell on Ric making him the next original. She uses Elena's blood to complete it. He will need to drink blood in order to be a new vamp.

Rewind. We have ANOTHER dance/party. It is the 20's thing and Caroline goes with Tyler, but Klaus wants to be with her. Bonnie goes with new guy Jamie and Jeremy is there and is upset about it. Elena asks Stephan to go. But where is Damon? Did she just use him to make Stephan jealous? So confused. Esther puts a spell on them to trap them all there with salt, while she reeks havoc on Ric and Elena.

Klaus breaks free after making Bonnie perform the spell and threatening her man. Elena and Stephan have a dance together until she gets sad about Ric. They all go to see Ric and have some sort of goodbye party, since he mentioned he doesn't want to go through the transformation as a vamp, he wants to die. He locks himself in the chambers and tries to. Klaus also stabs his mother, allowing Rebekkah to live again and unstakes his sister.

That is until, Bonnie, who is compelled by Esther, makes Ric drink her blood and transform. YIKES!

Vampire Diaries: Scary Mary

I have to admit that this episode focused on my title for a nanosecond, but regardless, I liked it. Let's bite our fangs in, shall we?

They need to find out where the last white oak stake is, so they lock Alaric in the dungeon. They plan to beat it out of him. Good plan guys. Stephan is going to watch him while Elena and Damon drive to Denver to get Jeremy. When they get there they tell him he needs to contact ghost vamp Rose (remember her? She was in love with Damon? Apparently she turned Katherine). I thought that they erased his memories, but I guess he is all caught up now. He says he is meeting his buddy for baseball, surprise its Kol. He beats the shit out of Damon and they have to stab him so he stops for a bit.

HE conjures up Rose and she says that she doesn't know the original but Mary sired her. Scary Mary, Damon says. They need to wait in the motel room until she figures out more and where Mary is. While there, Damon and Elena have a crazy kiss fest which is interrupted by Jer, who says they found Mary. They go to find her, but Kol got to her first. He refuses to let them figure out the bloodlines. Cant Jer just speak to dead Mary as well?

Back at home, Caroline reunites with Tyler. They are all kissy until he finds the drawing from Klaus. He gets jealous and leaves. After they have hot vampire/werewolf monkey sex. Rebekkah is planning the roaring 20's dance and Matt is being nice to her. HE is just distracting her, but ok. Her mother shows up and says she is dying. She then dies on the floor in front of her. Her powers were from the witch line and once Abby died, she lost it.

At the mansion, Stephan starts beating the crap out of Rick with his ring off. He finally turns into evil Rick and they talk about things. He says the stake is in the cave where vampires wont be able to get to it. Rebekkah comes back and tells Rick to take her to the cave. Once they get there, she walks right in. Why? Because her mother inhabited her body and its not really her. WOAH. She wants to help evil Rick take down the originals. But hmmm, which is the one that sired them?! Let's say Elijah!!

Vampire Diaries: Dead Originals

Stephan, Damon and Alaric are making stakes out of of the white oak tree bridge sign. They show Elena, Caroline and Matt and enlist them to help to kill the originals. Since they are still linked, all they will need to to do is kill one and they all die. Great plan, right? Wrong. What they don't know is that Klaus has captured Bonnie and threatened the life of her runaway newly turned vamp mother Abby and Jeremy if she doesn't undo the spell and unlink them.

During this, Rebekkah is really upset with Damon for messing with her head, so she captures him and chains him up and slices him open for torture. They drain the vervain out of his blood so he can be mind fcked and toyed with. He has dreams of Elena saving him and kissing him and that doesn't happen. Instead, Stephan comes to his rescue.

Rewind. Finn is back in town and is willing to die again just so that they all die, those abominations. Too bad they show him Sage and they are reunited and it feels so good! They are happy and drinking tequila at the grill, when Matt slips some vervain into their drinks. They run out the back to see who did this after they see Stephan slip away. He tries to stake Finn but Sage jumps him. While she is fighting with him, Elena and Matt shoot a cross bow stake through Finn and he dies, then catches flames and burns up. (I always thought the white oak just made them sleep?). Sage is all the rage about this. He had sired her and she had sired her friend Troy. They all escape as she is mourning over her dead boyfriend.

She tries to come after them, gets to the mansion and within minutes Sage and Troy burn up and die as well. They turn to dust and everyone is super confused. Until they realize that if you kill and original their whole blood line dies. This means uh oh, to those who were turned. Since we know that Damon and Stephan and Katherine were turned, but by who? Rose? Who is Rose? Anyway, we don't know who her original was. But we do know that if we kill Klaus, Tyler dies too. Since he turned him into a hybrid.

Stephan goes to get Damon, but realizes that Bonnie unlinked them so he promises to give all 8 stakes to them if they release Damon. While under mind control, Damon reveals there are 11 stakes and he is to bring them all to Klaus. Klaus wants the stakes and then to run away with Elena to make more hybrid families, since his never loved him. Meanwhile, the stakes are with Alaric, but his bad self has hidden it because he is still evil and the herbs may help, but aren't doing the trick. That is unless, Caroline switched them, since she is so mad about her daddy, she wants to kill the evil Rick?

Stephan tells Elena he loves her, FINALLY. He does ask if she loves Damon and she says she doesn't know. I was hoping they would kiss and makeup, but I guess her feelings for Damon are there. And Stephan made a good point when he realized it was his fault for pushing her away. Well, bingo buddy!

Not another episode for 3 weeks. Hoping this one will have some more oomph! And I think they are bringing Jeremy back, so yay for not being kicked off the show!

Vampire Diaries: Watch Out for Alaric

I felt like this was a filler episode. I mean, every show cant have amazing episodes every time, some have to be fillers, and I have come to deal with that in TV land!

Alaric is still at large as they are trying to figure out how to stop the cursed ring. Bonnie is going to do a spell on it, but she has been busy with her mother, Abby who is transitioning. Jaime, the boy that Abby has been caring for all these years, is afraid of her. When he finally approaches Abby and hugs her she bites him. She has a lot more reforming to do. Abby ends up leaving again and they are left with Jaime. I think Bonnie will end up hooking up with him.

Damon sees Sage and they reunite. She tells him she is back because she heard her long lost love Finn is in town. Rebekkah, who always hated Sage, reminds her that Finn doesn't care for her and fled with their mother after he sacrificed his life to kill the originals. Damon tells Sage he needs to know why Rebekkah has been snooping around. They set up a threesome so that Sage can read her mind. It works and she finds out that Rebekkah knows about the white oak tree. Damon does some research and finds out they built the old bridge out of it. He plans to use this information to kill the originals, but Sage gets there first. She is too afraid that by killing one will kill them all since they are still linked, and still carries a flame for Finn. Rebekkah burns down the bridge to prevent this and Damon is in horror.

Meanwhile, Meredith is staying with Ric so that he can get better. In order to do the spell, they need something of his that he had before he wore the ring. He asks Elena to get his wedding band at his apartment. When she gets there, Stephan is there as well. They look for the ring and find all these photos and documents on the victims. Looks like Ric was all shining about this one. They rush back, but before they get there Ric has turned crazy and tries to hurt Meredith. She ends up locking herself in the bathroom, but almost bleeds to death. Stephan and Elena knock out Ric and save Meredith with some vampire blood. Stephan has been trying to stay away from human blood, but has been unsuccessful. He gives her his blood and flees.

There is a small scene where Elena calls Jeremy, but he is happy as pie. Guess he is not kicked off the show. She realizes he has such a good life and doesn't bother him. I guess they are foreshadowing that his ring might be evil as well.

In the end, Damon manages to get the sign for the bridge, which is also from the white oak tree. I guess they didn't burn it all down. We will finally see a battle between them and the originals. I guess they are about to return home. Can you wait?

Vampire Diaries: 1912

A nice blast from the past this episode. My husband was less than thrilled for flashbacks, but hey, it may explain a thing or two. Let's bite right in, um dig :)

In 1912.....

Council members are being killed. That includes their nephew, Mr. Salvatore. They come back (as vamps) for the funeral and say its their uncles. They meet with Samantha Gilbert (Elena's relative). Damon is mad at Stephan for turning him and only kills to eat and survive. Damon meets a boxer named Sage, who helps him bite for pleasure. She picks the most conservative girls as his prey. He tries to teach Stephan about this and he becomes too crazy and is nicknamed "the ripper". Stephan goes to drink one of them so much that her head falls off. Pretty crazy. He apologizes, but it is just too late. This might be the moment they stopped speaking to one another.

Present Day....

Elena is trying to run away her problems and learns from Matt that Bonnie's mother is going to complete the transition to a vamp. Woah. Bonnie is still not ready to talk to Elena though.

Alaric is locked up in his cell (after being stabbed and waking up, was Meredith Fell supernatural?). Sheriff Forbes tells him that Dr. Fell said he tried to attack her. Nobody believes he is innocent. They think he is behind the murders of the councilmen. Dr. Fell is sneaky and wouldn't you know Torrey Devito only plays cray crays? (Nanny Carrie on One Tree Hill, Creepy Melissa Hastings on Pretty Little Liars and now this!).

Elena and Matt try to figure out what happened. They speak to Meredith and she says he is a danger to them. They sneak into her apartment while she is at surgery and find a locked box in her closet. It has files on all the murdered victims as well as Alaric. It also has a diary, a Gilbert one. They also find the coroner report about Meredith's ex who was actually murdered before 1am, which clears Alaric and completes his alibi. She comes home and busts them. Matt was smart enough to take the journal. There is a little side story about he is the only normal one and how he probably still loves Elena. The journal belongs to her ancestor Samantha who went mad. She wrote crazy things about killings.

Stephan and Damon are at the bar hanging out with Rebekkah. She keeps loitering around. Damon tries to get Stephan to drink human blood again since he has been twitching. He bites a girl out in the alley and tells Stephan if he doesn't join him then the girl dies. Stephan takes a bite and drains her. Elena sees this happen and is mortified.

Rebekkah is curious herself about the white oak tree that is still living. She asks Mayor Lockwood and she says the tree logs are from the Salvatores. She needs to find this tree and make sure its gone, or her and her brothers will die. She tells Damon and Stephan that Samantha Gilbert was killed by her and made into a vamp, or so she thought.

Alaric is freed because his alibi clears. Meredith tells him this is because she forged the note to help him. She thinks that he is subconsciously killing the council members and even stabbed himself. Elena is just happy that Alaric is home, they are going to watch out for one another from now on.

The Kickers....

They figure out that the Gilbert rings were cursed. One which was Samantha's is the one that Ric has. And the other Jeremy has (he can see dead people so who knows). They think that Samantha is channeling through Ric to keep murdering the council people. Damon and Stephan realized that she had confessed to the murders 10 years later, but he thought he had killed her before they locked her up in the insane asylum.

My question is why? If she was a Gilbert, why does she want her people dead that are not vamps. Everyone that she killed had vampire blood in them, so they would wake as a vamp. I am super confused, are you?

Vampire Diaries: Where have all the OVs gone?

I was a bit confused throughout this episode. I am sure it didn't help that hubs and I were playing with our pug at the same time and he was making the cutest faces! Focus! Let's dig in.

Elena calls Stephan but he ignores her calls. She calls Damon but he is not interested. She shows up at their house and runs into Rebecca is last night's gown and Damon. Walk of shame? She lets the brothers know about the spell that Esther is casting. They think its like Christmas, all the OVs will die? How great! But Elena laments for Elijah since he has always been there for her.

Bonnie and Abby were summoned by Esther to help her complete the spell. She needs that blood line of Ayana to finish it. She draws a pentagram and his Finn in the center. He is going to be the sacrifice, which he is more than happy about since he hated the idea of being a vampire the entire time. She plans to wait until the moon rises and make them all human again, then kill Finn which will kill them all. Smart plan. I had no idea they could be human again. My thoughts were this, why not leave them human and let them have a life like that? Guess not.

Esther meets with Elena and knows she is lying. He finds out the plan and lets Kol, Nick and Rebekkah know. Kol and Nick go drinking to ease their pan and Elijah has a different plan. He tells the Salvatore brothers that if they don't stop the witches, he will kill Elena. Rebekkah has her captive in the caves underneath the woods of the original camp ground. Elena somehow manages to get to that spot where no vamps can go. Rebekkah throws gasoline on her and lights the match trying to smoke her out.

At the bar, Nick and Kol are drinking and Nick is trying to pick up Caroline. She looks really beautiful here and I really would have liked to see them as a couple. Ric and Meredith are keeping them busy as Stephan and Damon are coming up with a plan. They first try to dagger Kol which would dagger them all, except Nick. He can feel what is happening to them and knocks Ric down, breaking his ribs. Meredith gets him out of there quickly. Rebekkah is also out long enough for Elena to run.

Stephen and Damon talk about loving Elena and how Stephan has not drank human blood since that fateful day on the bridge with Elena. They flip a coin to see who will kill Bonnie and Abby. Stephan wins, but Damon decides to take care of it. He first makes Abby drink his blood, then snaps her neck "this will only hurt for a minute". If he makes her a vamp, she can no longer be a witch. The spell is broken and Esther and Finn disappear into thin air. Rebekkah lets Elena go but not before filming the cave where she was and the markings.

The kickers.....

1. Bonnie's mom is transitioning and Elena is not allowed in to see. Caroline explains to her that although she wants to be there for Bonnie, she cannot. She always ends up hurting her in the process.
2. Rebekkah shows Nick the video with the drawings. There is some weird swirly sign that shows that the white oak tree was replanted, which means they can be killed.
3. Ric is recovering at Meredith's and he goes to get a drink. He sees her personal files of all the people who died by the Gilbert dagger and sees one wrapped up in her kitchen. She wakes up and says "you weren't supposed to see that" and shoots him. BANG. Episode over.

Is Ric dead? What is Meredith's involvement in all of this? Is she trying to take down the council singlehandedly or turn them all into vampires after she injects blood into them? Will Stephan finally admit his love for Elena and will Abby be a good vamp or a bad one? Will Nick and Rebekkah ever leave this town? Who knows. But we have ONE FULL MONTH until the next one, so sit tight until then.

Vampire Diaries: The Original Ball

What would Sunnydale Mystic Falls be without an original Vampire ball?

Matt and Elena are hanging out at the grill, she wishes him to get home safe. Foreshadow much? She is almost attacked by Rebekkah in the parking lot as Elijah swoops in and saves her. They seem to have a bond still and I really do like Elijah. He tells her how his mother is back and wants everyone to get along.

Back at home, Elena gets an invitation for the Mikaelson ball. Um, Mikael SON. OV balls are so hip right now. On the back it asks for Elena to meet Esther finally. Damon is super worried about this and wont allow her to go. Stephan, who couldn't care less, says whats the big deal. She decides she is going to go anyways, because when does she ever listen to them?

Caroline is listening to her voicemail from Tyler where he tells her he is trying to get better. She also gets invited to the ball with a note from Klaus asking to save a dance for her. In the box is a long blue gown for her to wear. I guess the bracelet wasn't enough, now he is sending clothes. This is the theme in a few of my shoes this week, sending clothes, how nice!

Everyone is at the ball even the mayor. She says she has to be chummy with the oldest vampire clan. Rebekkah invites Matt as her date to piss off Caroline. She also plans to kill him just to make her upset. She leads him into the parking lot as Kol is about to kill him, them he lends her his jacket and she feels bad retracting his death sentence. Kol could care less and ends up breaking Matt's hand in which Damon throws Kol off the roof. Elena is there and dancing with Damon as Stephan cuts in. You can see how this may have played out back in the day with Katherine as their shared love interest.

Elena wants to see Esther alone so she asks Stephan to help her. He has no moral conscious so he breaks Damon's body so he passes out so she can get away. Before meeting, Elijah asks her to tell him the truth and she promises she will. She meets with Esther and she does not want to kill her. Instead she wants to kill Klaus and her whole family. The only way she can is to unite all of the brothers and sisters in a spell with the doppelgangers blood. If they all drink from the champagne toast they will be linked and if she kills one all will die. Smart plan original witch! Apparently, Esther has been living on the other side with the witches for 1000 years paying for what she did by making them vamps. Bonnie and Abby were able to open her coffin because they were part of the blood line of Ayana that closed her in there in the first place. Finn is willing to die for his mother's cause and is the only one who knows of the plan.

The toast begins and all of them drink after Elena promises Elijah her plan is to keep their family together. I know she feels bad for lying to him. Damon is royally pissed off and Elena tells him that he cares TOO much and hurts his feelings. He storms off and causes the scene with Finn and then leaves.

Caroline and Klaus have a scene where she says she likes horses. He shows her that he paints and she breaks it down for him that the way he gets people to like him is wrong. She takes off his bracelet and gives it back. Then then sends her another gift. It is a portrait he drew of her and a horse saying "thank you for being honest". I smell vampire love!

And the after party....

Finn's blood anoints the family tree as it goes up in flames. They are all linked now. Elena confronts Stephan and tells him to feel. He refuses and says if he lets himself feel then he will be hurt again. My husband and I are screaming at the TV to tell her he loves her and end this! Finally, Damon and Rebekkah sleep together and all is right with vampire love. Or is it? Will Elena be royally pissed when she finds out?

Vampire Diaries: Family Reunion

Wow. I cannot wait to get into this episode. Let's begin!

Elijah is back and is not too happy with Klaus. Klaus somehow convinces him they need to get Stephan and get back the locked coffin.

On the other side of town, Sheriff Forbes comes to tell Elena that the dagger used to kill the medical examiner came from her family collection and has her prints on it. Alaric is starting to think that maybe his doctor girlfriend stole them from him. More on my theories about this later.

Bonnie and her mother head to the cave to try and open the coffin. They spend hours chanting but Bonnie doesn't feel like Abby is putting anything into it. They have a heart to heart about her childhood and somehow the chanting begins again and the coffin unlocks a bit. Bonnie runs off to tell Damon and Abby stays there to finish it off. The coffin ends up unlocking completely and Bonnie and Abby are left there knocked out. But by who? More on that in a bit!

Caroline goes to visit her dad at the hospital but finds out he is fine and has already checked out. She goes to call him but hears the faint ringing of his cell somewhere in the hospital. Her bionic vampire ears are honing in! They find him in a closet and he has a dagger stuck in him. Caroline cries, pulls the dagger out and then realizes he has vampire blood in him. She gets super excited that maybe he can be a vamp too and they can romp in the vamp forest together. He, being the anti-vamp, nixes this idea and tells her he wants to die instead. She ends up losing her daddy. Sad and very emotional. I always get this way with daddies and daughters!

Stephen and Damon head over to Klaus' to have dinner with him and Elijah (and their woman playboy bunny servers). They discuss the details of their deal and Klaus is not having it. He tells them the story of Tatiya, the woman who both him and his brother loved. He compares this to Katerina and her doppelganger Elena. He ends up torturing Stephen until Damon agrees to get the locked coffin. Elijah had struck a deal with Damon but strikes back on it and takes Klaus' side.

Meanwhile, Elena and Matt are going back to her house and find bloody hand prints all over. Alaric has been stabbed in the heart by the same dagger. He is faintly alive and he tells Elena to kill him. Since, his ring only works and brings him back to life is a supernatural being kills him. Her being the doppelganger, she kills him. So tough to watch! He ends up coming back to life and she still has a family, whew. Strange though, the stake is also from her family's collection.

Back at the house, Elijah comes back with two white oak daggers. He has pulled them from his brothers Cole and Finn. They enter right next to him and they all gang up on Klaus. Rebecca comes in and stabs Klaus as well. She is pretty pissed off. Finally, some retribution! Or so you think.

And the cliffhangers....

1. After we finally think all the vamps are going to run Klaus out of town for killing his mother, we are wrong. In walks his mother, Esther, and Klaus is petrified. She was the one who was locked in the final coffin and he is afraid she will kill him. She looks around and sees her entire family and says they can be together again. Oh crap
2. Damon and Stephan have a heart to heart about saving one another. Then Stephan finally talks about Elena and admits he loves her. Damon retorts with SO DO I. YES! There is hope!

My thoughts....

Since Bill Forbes and Alaric and the medical examiner were all killed with Elena's stakes and had vampire blood in their system. I think that Doc. Meredith Fell is teaming up with somebody to make vampire breeds out of the humans. I am not sure who. But she is giving them the blood and somebody is staking them. Hmmmmm... what do you think? I cannot wait until this fancy ball on the next episode. Can you?

Vampire Diaries: Ties that Bind

Bonnie realizes she needs to find her mother Abby Bennet to help break the coffin spell. Bonnie's mom had left her when she was younger, but she never knew why. They track her down to a house, but one of the hybrids got there first. He doesn't kill her, but compels her. Bonnie also meets a boy that her mother took in as her own. She is more upset by this than anything. Bonnie must tell Klaus where the coffins are or the boy will kill himself and mommy witch is not having that.

Tyler cannot live with himself for biting Caroline so he calls her father to compel this out of him. Why invite him back, I have no idea. He chains him and up and tells him that changing into a werewolf will help him break the sire spell. He changes and breaks out of his chains almost killing Bill all together.

Meanwhile, Dr. Meredith Fell has some tricks up her sleeve too. She takes blood from Damon, but she uses it to cure her patients. We all know the healing powers of vamp blood will do to you. Ric lets her in on the secret that he has a power ring. She is intrigued. I still cant tell if she is evil yet, can you?

Back at Abby's house, Jaime has shot Stephan with a wood chip gun and Elena has to pull the chips out of him. Stephan comments on how much stronger she is and she lets him know that her and Damon have kissed. He is pissed. Although, I don't think he has a leg to stand on here. He did let her go, right? He tells her that she is better than him and better than Damon, OK.

Stephan gets home and punches out Damon for kissing Elena. "I see you two had a heart to heart". Before this Damon was able only to sneak out the one locked coffin and not the other three of his family.

Klaus finds the coffins and is happy until out comes Elijah as he snatches out the heart of the hybrid and welcomes himself back. I am not sure this was the family reunion that Klaus was hoping for.

Next week there will be a dance and dresses and baddies oh my! I cant wait.

Caroline's Birthday

I have 10 shows to recap, so I am going to start chronologically and with my favorite, Vampire Diaries.

It is Caroline's birthday, so of course all sorts of nonsense will ensue. Stephan is busy beheading and de-hearting hybrids all across town to send Klaus a message. He even goes as far to take Elena for a joyride across the same bridge her parents died on to show him he is serious. Klaus decides to let this go, afraid of losing Elena, his life line to making hybrids.

Bonnie is angry with Elena for mind fucking her brother into leaving. When Elena throws Caroline a dead birthday party in a mausoleum, Bonnie has words with her. They have a cake and everything and even Matt is there.

In other parts of town, the mysterious Meredith Fell is out with Alaric. She is drinking with him at the bar and charming him up at the founders party. She tells him that she wished she threw her ex off a bridge. Later on we see them drinking together at the grill when she says she "lost a patient", fast forward to the scene where said ex is dead in the woods with a stake in his chest. Although not a vamp. But who staked him? Mer?

Somewhere with all of this Klaus asks Tyler to bite Caroline, fully knowing a werewolf bite will kill a vamp. He refuses, but when they are out together, unconsciously bites her. There goes that relationship. Even though he gave her a pretty charm bracelet.

The only thing that can save Caroline is Klaus' blood. He goes over to her house to give her some blood and then she wakes up to a pretty silver bracelet from Klaus. I had read in other recaps that he has a new love interest and I can only guess that sweet Caroline is it. Lucky girl! I think this whole episode shows a new side to Klaus and my hubs said he signed up for a bunch more episodes, so I guess he is not dying anytime soon.

Jeremy also finally leaves town in this episode, but is he gone forever?

And of course through this whole episode Damon is smiling and even singing in the hot shower scene. Elena does not know what to do with her feelings, but knows this is wrong. I guess she is still holding on to Stephan. Would you?

Let's make a deal

Vamps, hybrids, werewolves, no problem. My younger brother a problem - well stated Elena. And a good way to depict this episode to come. When we last left them, Stephen stole the coffins of Klaus' loved ones. Now he is on a war path to get them back. He asks Elena to get them back and he will not hurt any of her loved ones. He wants to make a deal.

Stephen wants to hide all of the coffins and have Bonnie cast a spell to help him do so. Elena and Ric are trying to have family dinner with Jeremy, but he is too busy with his new BFF hybrid Tyler. They start to shoot crossbows together. They are all at dinner and we get the sinking feeling that Tyler is one of the bad guys. We later see a scene where is compelled to his sire Klaus to do whatever he bids him to do. He leaves dinner and Jeremy gets a strange phone call (on the other end we see Klaus making the call and saying DO IT NOW). Jeremy takes off his protection ring and stands in the middle of the street as a crazy hybrid (who has also been stalking Elena) almost runs him over. Ric steps in front of the car and gets hit and thrown to the ground. Good thing he is wearing his ring.

Back at home, Ric is not ok, he starts coughing up blood. Elena calls 911 and they come to revive him until the nasty hybrid compels them to leave. With a dying Ric there, Jeremy shoots the hybrid with an arrow and then chops off his head (go Jer!). They take Rick to the hospital. And of course, before the episode started, I saw Torrey Devitto's name in the credits. (She first started as crazy Nanny Carrie on One Tree Hill who stole Jaime, then she played crazy sister Melissa on Pretty Little Liars and she is also Stephen's wife in real life, so of course she deserves a cameo) She is the nurse who takes care of Rick. I can see a relationship budding there. She introduces her as Doctor Fell and I immediately think she is related to dead, vamp, scumbag Logan, remember him? But is she supernatural too?

Elena tells Klaus that she may not know where the coffins are, but she will give him Rebecca for the safety of her brother. He agrees and unstakes her. Elena also lets him know that Rebecca is aware that he killed their mother and she is pissed. As she starts coming back to life, he restakes her. I guess he doesn't want to deal with her knowing the truth about his evil ways with mommy original.

Stephen, although not full of humanity, has a brawl with Damon and lets him know the reason why he didn't kill Klaus was to save him. Damon realizes that big bro doesn't need to save him all the time, but deep inside is thankful for him. The coffins are being hidden in the witch house by Bonnie, but she cannot open them. There is some curse on them. I am pretty sure she will eventually open them.

I guess Jeremy is off the show. We have Damon compel him to leave Mystic Falls and start a new life elsewhere. Rick and Elena think its best for him and agree to this as everyone has tears in their eyes. Bye bye Jer, we will miss you!
And then the best part. Damon tells Elena what he knows about Stephen and tells her that he wants to make sure if Stephen is upset with him, its for a good reason and he kisses her. Everybody's heart melted and all Damon/Elena fans are dying. Will this be a new love for her? Or will Stephen get his humanity back? And where is Caroline in all of this??
