Once Upon a Time: Queen of Hearts

In Fairy Tale Land....

Hook goes into Belle's chamber to find out if she knows where rumple is. She doesn't, so he leaves her be. Hook gets confronted by Regina to do a task for her. He is to rip out her mother's heart. He is to bring a dead man with him into the world and return with her mother, dead. She enchants his hook to allow one heart to be taken, makes Jefferson's hat spin and off he goes. When he gets to Wonderland (Just as I thought!) he finds her as the queen of hearts. He tries to rip out her heart, but she doesn't hide her heart in the same place as others. She tries to rip out his, but he explains Regina sent him. She makes a deal with him that if he gets her close to Regina he can live throughout the curse she is sending forth. (Again, no wonder Regina's father was hiding in Wonderland and she left Jefferson there as the mad hatter). Regina kisses her mother goodbye and Hook wonders why Cora didn't kill her. She hopes to put back the pieces of Regina's life after the curse breaks in 28 years and they resume their quest. She protects them from the curse and I guess everyone else on that island. Makes sense. When the curse is broken that is when they reconvene.

In Fairy Tale Land, present day....

Aurora leads them to Rumple's chambers and no squid ink in site. However there is a scroll that says Emma over and over again. Aurora then traps them in there as Cora and Hook show up and steal the magic compass. They realize, she has Aurora's heart and she is being controlled by her. They leave and Snow realizes to blow the ink off the scroll and it breaks them free. They leave Aurora there but head off to find Cora and Hook. They have already put water back in Lake Nostros and throw the ashes in. It starts a portal, but Emma and Snow and Mulan show up. First Hook gives the heart back and Mulan runs it back to Aurora. (Her and Mulan try to find Philip's soul, although I felt like a lesbian vibe there). Emma and Snow fight Cora and Hook and knock them out long enough to steal the compass and drop through the portal. Meanwhile, Hook and Cora use the dead bean to find a portal as well.

In Story Brooke....

David is still under the sleeping curse. Gold realizes that Cora and Hook may come through the well, so he takes all the fairy dust with Regina and curses it. Whomever comes through will die, including Snow and Emma. Henry puts a stop to this and tells his mother to fix it. She does and he is happy with her again. Emma and Snow come through the well and all is happy. She breaks the curse with David and they kiss as well. Regina is left without Henry as they all rejoice without her.

The Kickers....

1. Cora and Hook are on their ship and sailing through to Storybrooke.
2. Emma feels like there is a plan about her, but funny enough her heart could not be ripped out by Cora.
3. Next season will be wicked! We will look for Baelfire, we might see Henry's dad and maybe some more characters, YAY.

Once Upon a Time: Sleeping Curse

In Fairy Tale Land (present day)....

Aurora tells them she sees Henry in her dream. They now know they can get messages back and forth. They send her back in so she can ask Henry how to escape. She burns herself badly and Mulan is overprotective. Meanwhile, Hook is with Cora and she is mad about him betraying her. She then sends her zombie people out to catch Aurora and use her as ransom for the compass. Hook frees her and Cora is even more pissed about it. Meanwhile, Snow has to go under the sleep spell in order to speak to Henry. Mulan makes her some sleeping potion and she goes to sleep. Inside though, she does not find Henry, she finds Charming.

Storybrooke.....

Henry awakes and tells Regina and David that Cora is back and they need to stop her. She goes to find Gold, who is having his burger with Belle. He realizes that he needs to stop Cora. He tells Henry that they can stop her with the ink from the quill in his jail cell. Henry goes in but fails at communicating with Aurora. He gets pulled out and burns his arm. Regina and David think this is too dangerous for him, so they put Charming under the curse. He goes in to speak to Snow, having faith she will be there.

The kickers....

1. Charming goes in and sees Snow, but they cannot kiss to break the spell, so he is trapped in there. However, he does tell her how to stop Cora.
2. Hook almost dies by the hand of Cora, until he reveals he stole Aurora's heart.
3. Cora uses her heart to control her zombie body, leading the girls into Hook's trap.

Cannot wait for the winter finale, bittersweet all!

Once Upon a Time: Ruby/Red

In Fairy Tale Land.....

Red and Snow are running from the Queen's men. She stumbles upon another wolf who shows her his secret pack. The leader of the pack, her real mother. She bonds with her and learns how to control the wolf without her red cloak. Snow wanders into their lair and they almost kill her too, until Red stops them. The Queen's men find them and kill her friend and they kill all the men. Her mother wants revenge on Snow, but Red kills her instead to stop her.

In Storybrooke.....

The dwarfs have found fairy dust, hooray! They all go out to celebrate at Granny's. David runs into his father (sort of) who has a vendetta against him. He wants to ruin his life. Billy the mechanic, who is also Gus the mouse, wants to ask Ruby out, but she is afraid of the full moon tonight. Her and Belle say they have girls' night instead. She asks to be locked up in the freezer, since her cloak is missing. In the morning, they find dead Billy and Ruby broken out of her cage. Did she do it? Doesn't matter, the King wants to make it look like she did. He gathers all the town's people to torch her. David finds out that King George planted the cloak and killed Billy to frame Ruby. He has to convince wolf Ruby to back down and she does. But one thing the King did, he stole Jefferson's hat and burned it in the fire. Now there is no hope of bringing them back, even with fairy dust.

Meanwhile, Henry has been having those fire dreams, even though Gold has made a special charm for him to stop it. He seems to be getting burned in real life from them. He manages to stay clear of the fire, but is still trapped. Someone else is there, but who?

Fairy Tale Land Present Day....

Aurora has another fire dream and sees Henry there. She wakes to tell Emma and Snow who she saw.

Once Upon a Time: Henry's Dad

Present Fairy Tale Land.....

Hook and Emma decide to climb up the beanstalk. She gives him his hook hand back to be able to. They get to the top and use sleeping poppies to make the giant sleep. They sneak into his house and into the gold room. Hook, of course, takes some gold. They begin to search for the compass. They have an intimate conversation about being in love and other things. She finds out why he wants to kill Rumple. The beast wakes up, but Emma convinces him to let her get the compass. He lets her have it because she did not kill him when she could. She learns that he was not the evil one, but the dead skeleton Jack was. His sword was dipped in poison. After debating it, she keeps Hook there chained. She doesn't trust him. She tells the giant to let him down in 10 more hours, so she gets a head start. It is taking her 10 hours to get down, so Mulan is about to cut the beanstalk, but Snow wont let her. Aurora has a bad nightmare about a red room with no windows and burning doors. Snow convinces her she is all right.

In Emma's Past....

She is a bright eyed girl with glasses. She tries to steal her classic yellow bug. When she gets in, another man is in the car already. He is trying to steal it too. His name is Neal Cassidy. He is also the man that got the postcard saying the curse was broken. They become Bonnie and Clyde and steal things together and she is in love. They are going to move to Tallahassee (because she pointed to it on a map) but he has an arrest warrant out for some watches he stole. She agrees to get the watches from a locker and sell them so they can run away. She gets them, he gives her one of them and then he says he will be back. On his way to sell the watches he gets chased by August. He explains to him he is to watch over Emma and that he needs to turn her in, so she can turn her life around. He shows him something in a box that changes Neal's mind and that something is happening bigger than he can imagine. He agrees to turn her in, as long as August gives her the money and the key to the bug with a new vin number so it's legally hers. He says please send me a postcard when she does what she is supposed to. She is in prison, after thinking her lover threw her in there, and gets the car keys. She also finds out she is pregnant, with Henry.

In storybrooke....

Henry is also having that nightmare about the red room with no windows and burning walls. David lights a candle to help the bad dreams float away.

Thoughts....

1. Where is August now? He obviously sent the postcard.
2. Will we see Neal Cassidy again?
3. Where is Cora?
4. What does this red room signify?
5. What was in the box he showed Neal?

Once Upon a Time: Dr. Whale

In Fairy Tale Land.....

Regina is learning the dark arts from Rumple, but she is having trouble taking a heart from a unicorn and breaking it. Aww. He finds out that she wants to learn magic to bring back Daniel from the dead. He says he cannot do that. But she learns from Jefferson that he knows a doctor that can. He takes her to Dr. Whale - who is actually Victor Frankenstein. He says he will help if she can provide him with a beating, glowing heart. She takes one from her mother's chamber. (I still think Cora is the Queen of Hearts). He tries to preform the surgery and it fails. She is so mad that she rips out a heart and crushes it. Rumple has a student once again. Dr. Whale is trying to bring his brother back and he goes all black and white. Yikes!

In Storybrooke....

Dr. Whale comes to Regina and asks to find her brother. She has been doing so well with her therapy with Dr. Hopper. Regina goes to her crypt and Daniel's body is missing. She goes to see Dr. Whale and he was mauled, by whom? Daniel. He is back and he is a monster. She goes to try to find him. Meanwhile, Henry is working the stables. Daniel heads there and almost kills him until Regina and David back him down. He has a flash of humanity and she kisses him once more, until he turns into a monster. He begs and pleads for her to kill him. She takes out his heart and does so. She loses him once more. I actually feel bad for her here. Whale loses his arm and asks Rumple to reattach. He tells him he is still trying to find his brother. Uh oh.

In Fairy Tale Land Present day.....

Emma, Snow, Aurora and Mulan go back to the village and find everyone dead. They see one man moving around. Emma and Snow are weary and find out that he is Killian, or Hook, and he was there by Cora to earn their trust. He tells them he can help them, by climbing the magic beanstalk to get back to their world.

Once Upon a Time: Captain Hook

Have to say, loved this episode, through and through. Let's begin, shall we?

In Fairy Tale Land....

We learn that Rumple's wife Mila hates him because he did not fight in the ogre wars. She goes out drinking to get away from him and drinks with Captain Killian and his men. Rumple goes to find her again and she has left with the Captain and his men to be their ship bitch. He offers her back if Rumple can fight him, but he cannot. Later on when he becomes Rumple, he sees the Captain and he calls him "Crocodile" because of his green scaly skin. He soon learns he is the dark one and is scared. He asks where Mila is and the Captain says dead. He is about to fight him, when Mila appears. She tells Rumple she ran away with the Captain and loves him and not Rumple anymore. He then rips her heart out and crushes it. She shouldn't have said that!! He goes onto his ship and sees the man who can secure things and wants the magic bean from him. The Captain says he cannot have it, but he chops off his hand to get it. He then has to use the hook for a hand. (Of course in Peter Pan, a real crocodile bites his hand off) They then use the magic bean to sail to neverland and Smee becomes his pirate partner. Rumple is upset when he learns there was no bean in this severed hand.

In Storybrooke....

The dwarfs are in the mine, still looking for dust. So is David and he is also acting sheriff. Belle learns that Rumple is still doing magic and runs away. Mr. Gold looks for her and finds her father's flower shop (the rose from the story!) and he doesn't know where she is either. He sends Smee to find her and they kidnap her. They want to send her across town lines, so she forgets Rumple. David finally breaks her free and she huffs off. Mr. Gold gives her the keys to the library and of course it has an apartment to go with. She then asks him to have a hamburger with her. So cute.

In real life - Fairy Tale Land...

Still no sign of Regina, MM or Emma in this, but we do see Captain Hook on the beach. In cahoots with him? Cora. She has the remains from the wardrobe and they are going to sail to guess where? Storybrooke! What a curious name he says. She wants revenge on Regina and he wants it on Rumple. But does he have power?

Once Upon a Time: Cora's Back

In Fairytale Land....

Snow is on her way to meet Charming's mother. The King gets word of this and captures Snow. Lancelot, formerly of the round table, takes her to the king. He poisons her drink with something that will make her not bear children. Lancelot does not like being lied to and lets Snow free. While Charming is with his mother, the king and his army attacks. He tells her to stay inside, but she does not listen and gets hit with an arrow. His mother is dying, but Snow gets to see her. He remember the lady in the lake and the magical powers. They go there, but the lake is dry. Lancelot finds one seashell with some water in it and begs his mother to drink. She knows about the poison not to bear children after her magic necklace, which can predict gender, does not work. She doesn't drink but asks to see them get married. Lancelot marries them and makes them drink from the chalice. The lake water was in there and helps break Snow's curse. She is going to have a girl. His mother dies.

In Fairytale Land in modern day....

Snow and Emma are in the pit with Cora. Emma learns she is Regina's mother. When Snow wakes up she tells her to back away from her. Oh, if Regina only knew! They get out of the pit and see Lancelot. Him and Snow reunite. She says they should go over to her castle to find the tree portal made by Gepetto. Mulan goes with them and they take weapons. Emma chooses her gun, they choose swords and arrows. They go to set up camp and Aurora tries to stab her. They make so much noise that the ogres hear them. They end up killing him after he crushes Emma's gun. They finally make their way to the castle but don't know how to get the portal back. Lancelot shows up and says he will help. He then talks about Henry, and Snow is suspicious. He turns into Cora. She says she stabbed him a long time ago. They cannot kill her but burn down the portal. She comes back for the ashes.

In Storybrooke...

Henry tries to steal Regina's keys and go down to her father's crypt. He unlocks a box of snakes, but David helps him. This is not the way to get them back. He also confronts Jefferson about his daughter, Grace. He finally reunites with her and everyone is happy. We finally end on King George watching David from his car. Is he back for revenge or can he help?

Thoughts....

1. Lancelot, means Leviathan, which also means whale. But Dr. Whale is not black? I'm confused.
2. Why didn't Cora's magic die when Regina pushed her into the mirror?

Once Upon a Time: Return of Cora

In Fairy Tale Land....

We are back to Regina and she is trying to run away from home, but mommy's magic is keeping her here. She learns of a book that her mother got her magic from and calls out Rumple's name to summon him. He tells her that she is nothing like her mother and gives her the power of the book. He tells her that she can cast her mother into another realm just by pushing her into the mirror. She has an encounter with snow the day before her wedding and dreams of strangling her for the loss of Daniel. Her mother then gets the final straw and she pushes her into the mirror never to be seen again. She loves the power of magic and so begins, the reign of the evil queen Regina.

In Storybrook....

The townspeople are in a huff, they want to find their loved ones. Marco is trying to find Pinocchio, but he doesn't know who he is. Henry tells him at the end, but August is gone. Where did he go? Sneezy tries to cross state lines and we learn that once you leave your fairy tale memory goes with you. Rumple learns of this and throws away his plans of going to New York. Regina uses her magic, which she gets from her mother's book Rumple gives her to regain her apple tree. She then forces Henry to stay with her. She remembers her mother and how controlling she was and lets Henry go live with Prince Charming. He contacts Jefferson to get the hat working again, but he cannot make it work.

Snow and Emma are stuck in the Enchanted Forrest with no way out. Mulan and Sleeping Beauty have them tied to their horses and bring them to the refugee camp. They see people we have never seen before and they try to escape so they get thrown into the pit. In there, they see a woman, who claims to be a friend. It is Cora, Regina's mother. Guess she got banished there. Looking forward to her showdown with her daughter, aren't you?

Once Upon a Time: Season Premiere

And we are back! First I caught up on the past season and then this. When we last left, the spell had been broken and Rumple found Belle and let magic sift through the air. Let's see how it worked for the townsfolk of Storybrook, Maine, shall we? It starts off with a rock through a window in NYC to a man I have never seen saying "broken".

In Fairy Tale Land....

There is a prince Philip (Played by Wren from PLL) who is with a knight and they found his sleeping princess (Sleeping Beauty). He kisses her and awakes her. He has finally found her. But he has been marked by a talisman and evil will come for him. The knight takes off her mask and turns out to be Mulan. Philip runs because he is marked and the two girls go after him. The demon comes and sucks his soul. Mulan explains to sleeping beauty that they were on a search for him until the queen's curse came. But this part of the world was untouched. Now they are in it together.

In Storybrook.....

Snow and Charming rejoice. She gets to see all of the dwarfs again and hug with Red and Granny. Everyone is happy, but wants to find their daughter, Emma. They find her, but Emma is too weirded out by all of this. They hug their grandson, Henry too. The townspeople want to make Regina pay so they go to her house. Emma stops them, because Henry made her promise not to hurt her. They decide to protect her.

Meanwhile, Rumple and Belle rejoice and she tells him not to kill Regina. He doesn't listen and takes the talisman and marks Regina's hand with it, so the soul sucker will get her. It comes, but David and Snow and Emma fight it off. They decide to use the Mad Hatter's hat to send the demon to another land. The hat only works, once Emma touches it too. It does send the demon there, but also Emma and Snow. David is too late and doesn't make the hat.

The Kickers...

1. Regina tries to hurt Charming and Henry stops her. I guess her magic works after all.
2. Emma and Snow get sent to Fairy Tale land where Mulan and Beauty think they are the ones who caused the wrath
3. Who is Dr. Whale? We still do not know.
4. Where is August? Did he make it?
5. Belle returns to Rumple, touched by the fact he kept the chipped cup. Will he find his son now?

Once Upon a Time: Season Finale

What a kick ass episode! Let's dig in, shall we?

In Fairy Tale Land.....

The prince is trying to break out of his cell. He is on his way to die, when the huntsman helps free him. It was nice to see him again! He tells the queen that he will find the prince again, but she finds him first. He has a run in with Rumple, who gives him his ring with a locator spell for Snow. In return? He must put true love in an egg in the belly of the beast. The best is Maleficent. He ends up throwing it into her belly, getting the locator ring and finding snow in her glass coffin. He kisses her and she awakes. They try to take back the castle together.

In Story Brooke....

Henry is in a coma with Dr. Whale by his side. Emma sees Regina and pounds her into the supply closet telling her that it was her fault with the poison apple. They need some magic to break him free. She tells her that Emma needs to see Mr. Gold he has some magic. He tells her that she can break it with true love, hidden. He gives her, her father's sword to slay the beast. Regina takes her to a dungeon where she has had Maleficent hidden in dragon form, along with the glass coffin, and Emma has to slay the dragon. She does so and gets the egg with the potion. She throws it up to Mr. Gold and he runs away with it. They have been had.

Meanwhile, Jefferson wants his daughter back. He breaks out Belle and sends her to Mr. Gold. She sees him and he rejoices, telling him that he will protect her. But there is something they need to do first.

Emma touches Henry's storybook and feels the memories wash over her. She believes now. She goes to see August, but he has fully turned into wood. He tells her to break the curse. She goes back to see Henry, but its too late. He has died. She goes to kiss him and tell him she loves him and it breaks the spell. Not only is he alive again, but everyone remembers. They tell the queen to run and hide. MM and David find each other and kiss again, they remember. Belle remembers she loves Rumple. Everyone in the town is starting to remember.

The kicker....

1. Gold goes to throw the magic into the well and it turns all the magic back on in the land. Regina starts to become sublimely happy that she will have her power back. But, how will they all survive in Storybrooke with magic? This will be one full out war!

I cannot wait for next season, can you?!

Once Upon a Time: Poisoned Apple

In Fairytale Land....

King George finds his son and tries to behead him. The queen takes him and locks him up. She wants snow to be tortured. Snow, Granny and Red, the dwarfs all plan to get him back. They fight the guards and even the fairies fight them too. She gets to his cell but its just a mirror image of him. She realizes its too late. The queen tells her that she wants to have a "parlay" meeting with no weapons. The queen reminds her that this is where Daniel died. Snow feels bad and tells her she was young and it was her mother. She goes in and the queen tells her that if she takes the poisoned apple, she will not kill the prince, but she will sleep forever. She takes a bite and the prince feels it and
screams in pain.

In Storybrooke...

Henry tells Emma he wont run away with her. He stops the car. He wants her to break the curse. She still doesn't believe. He goes to see August and he shows him his arm now turning into wood. He cannot get Emma to believe. She decides that she wants to play fair with Regina. She will leave town for in return she can come back and visit Henry.

Regina contacts the mad hatter and asks him to use his hat again. He has no magic, but she uses whatever she has left. She uses her ring from Daniel and it lets the hat spin. She reaches in and grabs the already bit poisoned apple. She promises once complete, Jefferson can get his daughter back.

She bakes the apple into a turnover and gives it to Emma after they call a truce. Emma brings it home and shows Henry. He tells her that its the poisoned apple and if she eats it she will die. She doesn't believe him, so he eats it and falls asleep forever.

Once Upon a Time: Pinnochio

In fairy tale land

Pinocchio is wooden boy on a ship and White whale eats them and saves father. He turns into wood. He begs the blue fairy to bring him back. She turns him into a real boy as along as he doesn't lie and stays a good boy. They ask Gipetto to make a magic wardrobe, but it can only bring two people back once the curse hits. He makes Pinocchio go in as long as he watches out for Emma. When he gets to America they go to foster home and he leaves her there because he hates it. They are mean to him, so he left.

August strokes his hat. His leg is acting up. We see that it's wood. He needs Emma to believe. He takes her to the place she was found. Shows her the article. He was the boy who found her. He shows her his leg tells her he is Pinocchio and she can't she the wood, because she doesn't believe. He needs someone to break the curse.

Meanwhile Regina is trying to hit on David. She Makes him dinner and tries to kiss him, but it doesn't work. Emma is trying to get Henry back. Regina wants him out of Mm's class so she stands up to her.

Emma wants gold to represent her. He won't. August won't talk to his father. In the end he wants to work for him. Emma steals Henry from storybrook.

Once Upon a Time: Rumple's Son

This was really great and we finally find out more about August! Let's dig in, shall we?

In Fairy Tale Land:

Rumple's boy Bay is feeling upset because daddy keeps killing innocent towns people and his friends wont play with him. His friend tells him that there is a way to get out of it, by talking to the blue fairy. He asks dad if he finds a way, other than killing him with the dagger, will he take it and he handshakes. Bay meets the blue fairy and she gives him a magic bean (is he Jack and the beanstalk?) that once planted will take him and his father to a world with no magic. He ignites the bean and jumps through, but Rumple doesn't follow, afraid to lose his magic. He forever is trying to find Bay, but doesn't. He vows to make a world with no magic so he can find his son. Maybe that is why he agreed to the curse.

In StoryBrooke:

August wakes up with leg pain. Something is wrong here. He calls Henry to go to phase two of their plan. He makes Henry distract Gold while he sneaks into his shop. Gold catches him, but August plays it off.

They have a welcome home party for MM and she is happy, but doesn't want to see David. David doesn't understand but catches up with her later on and she says its like dark forces are keeping them apart. This is true. He also visits Katherine. She tells everyone that she was abducted and kept in a basement, finally got out and crawled back.

Regina meets with Gold and yells at him for this. He abducted her and didn't kill her and switched the DNA tests on the heart. Regina will get burned for this. Emma knows it too. Instead, Regina makes Sydney confess to the kidnapping of Katherine, because he is in love with her still (why?! She put him in a mirror for crying out loud). In the end, Emma tells her she is going to get her kid back.

The Kickers....

August meets with the nuns (the blue fairy, this is why Gold says he hates the nuns they took away his son). He tells them that he misses his father. Gold goes to see Dr. Hopper and tells him he has a son and he wont forgive him. Hopper suggest to tell him the truth. In a field, August tells Gold he is the son, Bay and they hug and rejoice. He asks for the knife. When Gold digs it up, August reveals he is not his son. He just wanted the knife and the power, to make him better, since he is dying. He tells Gold he was hoping that Emma would break the spell, but she is slow at it. He lets him live knowing that he can help Emma to speed up the spell breaking.

My thoughts are this. Bay is really Jack from Jack and the beanstalk. I don't know where he is, but maybe he will show up later. August is actually Pinocchio. Since he is dying, he is turning back into a wooden puppet. That is why his leg is bum. That is also why he said "I DON'T LIE" A few episodes back.

Can Emma break the spell? Only a few more episodes left this season!

Top 5: Now and Then

I saw a great article about top 20 TV shows of all time and wanted to make my own list. These are my top 5 TV shows that are no longer on the air and my top 5 that are. Enjoy!

THEN (The 90's!)

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997)

Teenage SMG fighting vampires with her besties. Great drama, romance, great language and good times. I own all 7 seasons.

Felicity (1998)

Young girl follows the man of her dreams to NY. Falls in love and then some. Should she be with the rebel or the friend? Amazing. I own all 4 seasons.

Melrose Place (1992)

I own all 7 seasons. Young couples and singles move into LA apartment complex. End up sleeping with everyone, divorce, murder, death, love, kidnapping, amazing!

My So-Called Life (1994)

Only one season and so short lived. Young girl befriends rebel of the school and go on hijinks to get the man of her dreams. Total 90's grunge, amazing music, hair and Jordan Catalano, you can't beat it! I own it and watch it again and again :)

Sex and The City (1998)

This is the woman's bible of TV. Four friends in NYC, single, dating, married, kids, divorced, shoe shopping, cosmopolitans! I own all 6 seasons and both spin off movies. How can you not love Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha? And Mr. Big!

Erica Strange, single girl in Toronto, life is going nowhere. She meets a therapist that can send her back in time to fix her mistakes. Romance, friendships, heartache, real life. Amazing. Three seasons show in the US and the 4th only in Canada. I MUST own the 4th, still trying to obtain it as we speak!

Once Upon a Time (2011)

The evil queen banishes all the storybook characters to a land called Storybrook Maine. The only one who can break the spell is Emma, who is really Snow White's daughter. Her son she gave up is now the Queen's who is the town's mayor. Mystery, intrigue and drama. Only 2 seasons so far, but I hope many more!

Pretty Little Liars (2010)

ABC Family really knocked it out of the park with this one. Four high school friends who lost touch after the disappearance and death of their 5th friend Ali. They are getting threatening texts and letters from "A". They try to figure out who A is and who killed Alison. Love this show. It just keeps getting better, 3 seasons in and more to come!

Revenge (2011)

Scorned Hampton's girl comes back for revenge on those who put her father behind jail, which ultimately led to his death. She takes the characters down one by one and plots using a secret identity. Only one season so far, but the drama just sucks you in! Can't wait for more.

Ringer (2011)

Have to say I'd follow SMG wherever she goes. Story about two twins, one fakes her death and the other takes her place. There is murder, mystery, love, romance and suspense. I am still waiting for the girls to meet! One season in and I hope they renew it!

Once Upon a Time: Regina's Real Love

This was a really great and informative episode. I love how they make Regina such a real person. But I have to say her reason for hating Snow, is not the greatest. Let's begin shall we?

In Fairy Tale Land....

Young Regina, who looks amazing BTW, is riding her horse and her dad is so happy for her. (I still cant believe she killed him to get revenge on Snow). Her mom is less than happy. Played by Barbara Hershey (Beaches and Black Swan) she is this crazy, magical woman who tries to control Regina. She wants her to ride like a lady and marry up and be amazing like her. She uses magic to control her. Regina runs off to the stable to apologize to the stable boy for yelling and they begin to make out. They are in love and she really loves him. They have to meet in between lunch and tea to steal a kiss (I love that saying) because her mother does not approve.

She goes out riding one day with Daniel and sees a wild horse come by with a little girl screaming for help. She saves her and finds out the girl's name is Snow. Aww little snow, so cute. When she gets home, her mother tells her she saved the king's daughter and he is coming to see her. She magically changes her outfit and she greets the king. He thanks her for saving snow and proposes to her. Her mother accepts on her behalf. I mean, shouldn't we all marry a guy after knowing him for 30 seconds just because he is the king? She runs off to tell Daniel and he says they must run off together and be together. He proposes to her with a ring and she happily wears it and doesn't care about being queen. Snow sees them kissing in the stable and runs off. She runs after her and tells her about true love and how she needs to keep this a secret, especially from her mother. She agrees.

Snow comes to see Regina and meets her mother. Her mother tells Snow that she wants her daughter to be happy and will do anything so that she doesn't lose her. Poor innocent Snow, doesn't want anyone else to lose their mother, since she did and tells her mother about Regina being in love with the stable boy. Regina is ready to run off with Daniel and her mother catches them. She takes the heart from his chest and crushes it. I see where Regina gets this idea of crushing hearts. She tells her she is meant for greatness not this.

Regina is dressed in her wedding gown, when Snow comes by. She is happy that Regina is getting married to Daniel, her love. Regina tells her she doesn't love Daniel and that he ran off and she is marrying her father to be a family. Snow is happy and tells her how great it is, now that she told her mother the truth. Regina realizes it was snow and makes sure to make her life miserable, FOREVER. I wonder what happened to her mother. Do you think she is the queen of hearts?? That would make the most sense, stealing her dad and all this about hearts! I love that twist.

In Storybrooke.....

We find out that Gold wanted Regina's help with the DA, so he promised to help frame MM for Kathryn's murder and leave a key there for her to escape. We see Regina twirling her ring. Aww. She had a heart!

MM is still behind bars. Regina goes to see her and tells her that maybe she didn't kill Katherine, but she deserves what she gets. She is no longer allowed to ruin lives. She wants her to be banished from Story Brooke, so that she disappears with the rest of the characters once they leave. David is trying to see MM but Emma wont let him. Emma is trying to find clues about what really happened. She goes over to the crime scene with August and they find a piece of a shovel. She breaks into Regina's house and finds a broken shovel there. Yikes. She is busy getting a search warrant to bust her.

Meanwhile, Mr. Gold convinces MM to meet with the DA. Looks like its Charming's father, the king! Guess they brought him back. She ends up looking super guilty, because this is more like a trial. Guess she will have to wait until the trial to prove her innocence. Mr. Gold tells Emma he has a plan and I believe he does!

She tells Regina she has the warrant and wants to see her shed. She finds a non broken shovel and doesn't understand. She gets so mad she throws the flowers that Sydney gave her and finds a bug. Looks like he was the spy, not August.

The Kickers.....

Ruby is crying her eyes out. There is someone laying flat on the floor in the alley. Emma and August go to see and its Kathryn. Looks like she didn't die! She looks homeless and confused. So I guess MM is off for murder, since she clearly is not dead. Good work Mr. Gold. Regina is going to be pissed!

Once Upon a Time: Mad Hatter

I have to say this was an amazing episode. The story line, the characters, the elements, I truly loved it. Let's dig in, shall we?

In Fairy Tale World....

Jefferson (played a small stint on Gossip Girl) and his daughter Grace are finding mushrooms in the forest. They are playing hide and seek. On their way back home, they see the Queen's men at their house. He tells her to stay put as he checks it out. He asks Regina (notice he uses her name, not queen for the first time ever in this show) what she is doing there. She asks him to do her a favor and in return he can give Grace everything she has ever wanted. He tells her he no longer does those things and is not interested. He then takes Grace to the market where she wants a bunny rabbit (the white rabbit reference?) and the old woman selling them says he cannot buy it. It really is Regina. He then decides to help the queen because he wants Grace to have everything. She doesn't want him to go, but he promises he will be back for a tea party (another reference). He takes his hat and it opens up as him and the queen jump through it.

It takes them to a room of doors and they walk through one into Wonderland. He laments, he hates Wonderland as the caterpillar blows smoke in their faces and says "Who are you?". They walk through into the red queen's garden. The walls are tricky, so the queen blows fire into them. He tells them that they must stick together, since the rules of the hat are that two who enter, two must leave. They get to their chamber and Regina blows up the guards and gets a small box she was looking for. She says it was stolen from her. The guards are after them and they are almost at the mirror until she stops at a mushroom and takes some of it. She feeds it to the box and her father grows larger and appears. Her and her father are about to leave the mirror as Jefferson begs for her not to go, since he will be stuck there and wont be able to return to Grace. She leaves anyway and the guards get him. The queen, who is under a veil (who is she?) tells the guards off with his head. They do and his head is still alive. She says he can wish it back on and try to get the hat to work again. This is how he ends up mad. He tries and tries to make hats that will work again, but fails, becoming the mad hatter.

In Storybrooke....

Mary Margaret is on the lam. She has escaped and Emma must find her before the arraignment tomorrow morning. She heads off to the woods and almost runs over a man who was walking. She offers to take him home to this extravagant mansion. He invites her in for tea. She drinks it and ends up passing out and being tied up. He explains to her that this is not his life. He is believing of the stories in Henry's book and knows who he is and needs to get back to his world. She frees herself and looks through the telescope to see her office. She then sneaks into another room and sees MM all tied up. She frees her in enough time for her to explain that she was running away, because there was a key in her room and he nabbed her. He catches them and makes her tie up MM again and then tells her he needs her help.

He shows her another telescope and you see Grace, who is now another girl with another family. He says he is her real father and she doesn't know him. But in the other world, she will. He says in order to get there, he needs to make the hat work. She agrees and when his back is turned she hits him with the telescope. She frees MM and he comes after them both where she hits him with a croquet mallet (another reference, I love it!) She then knocks him out the window and when they look down, nothing is left but his hat with a hole in it. Do you think he went back? They escape and MM decides she is not going to run. Emma decides she may believe after all and asks Henry to borrow his book.

The kickers....

Regina goes to see MM, fully knowing she would have escaped, since its probably her skeleton key she planted and sees her there. She is flabbergasted and tells Gold that his plan is ruined. They have been in on it together the whole time, but for what?

Next week we find out why Regina really does hate Snow. I really liked the addition of the mad hatter and Wonderland. I really hope we see more characters. The little mermaid, peter pan, who else would you like to see?

Once Upon a Time: Snow White

In Fairy Tale Land.....

Red and Charming are being chased by the King's knights. Red takes off her cloak and goes all wolfy to eat them up. James goes to find Snow. She is back at the dwarf home and being nasty to all of them. She broke Happy's mug, she brings in bales of hay that Sneezy is allergic to and is trying to kill the blue birds that we know her for singing with. Yikes! They have a dwarf-intervention, led by Jiminy Cricket, with her and that does not work. She says she doesn't care that the potion took away her love. She goes to see Rumple and he cannot reverse the spell. He says you cannot bottle love. He also tells James that true love's kiss will unbreak the spell. She decides to wield her evil to kill the queen. Rumple gives her a cross bow and arrow and gives her the map of the queen's ride to the summer home.

While waiting to shoot the queen, Prince James finds her and kisses her. She doesn't know who he is, because the potion took all her memories away. She is about to get shot and he steps in the way of danger. It makes her remember that he loves her and then they kiss and she tears up and knows its him. Their love is short lived as the guards toss her and take him away with them in a cage. She has to find him. She goes back to the dwarfs and apologizes and gives out a new mug. Grumpy is happy to see her again and they all group hug. She says she is going to get James back and they all get their ice picks and go to help her.

Rumple uses the cloak he took from David, he gave it to him after giving him the map to find Snow, and the hair he took from Snow to make the bottled potion of true love. Their two hairs light up like electric eels.

In Storybrooke....

The prints on the box belong to Mary Margaret. Emma has to bring her in for questioning. Regina sits in on it because she said it has to be protocol. They show her the box the heart was in and it is MM's jewelry box. She says she has no idea how it got there. They go to check out her apartment and find a knife hidden under the heating vent near her bed. They have to throw her in jail now.

While she is in there, Rumple says he wants to be her lawyer. He says he is invested in her. The same creepy lines he said back in Fairy Tale land. My thought is, she is the key to destroying the queen. She accepts. Meanwhile, Emma and Henry go back to her apartment. After he meets with August, who tells him he believes in his story book and he is there to help Emma believe. He steals the multi-key ring from his mother and tells Emma he believes Regina broke in and set up MM. She uses her skeleton key and it unlocks MM's door. These were the same keys she used at Kathryn's house.

While in jail, David goes to see Archie Hopper to hypnotize his memories out of him. He has flashbacks of the woods and MM (but its really his memories of snow) saying I must kill her, in the same woods! He goes to see MM in jail and tells her he thinks she is guilty. She is appalled and sends him packing, but not before she finds a skeleton key hiding in her blanket.

The Kickers....

MM has escaped! But to where and to whom? Next week's preview is of the mad hatter and his tea party and he has MM. Also, David is uncovering his memories of Fairy tale land. Does anyone else not think Kathryn's murder stinks of Regina? A HEART in a box. COME ON! She had tons of hearts in boxes under her father's grave. That evil queen!! Good thing she has rumple on her side.

Once Upon a Time: Little Red Riding Hood

Ahh, finally. We get to learn about Red or Ruby as we know her. She is actually a really beautiful girl. This was such a good episode, let's dig in, shall we?

In Fairy Tale Land.....

We are at Granny's house and she is telling Red to wear her cloak and to lock the doors and the shutters. Before she does, Red talks to her friend Peter who she clearly is in love with. They speak about running away. Does everyone want to run away in Fairy Tale land? The knights come to Granny's door to tell her that they are going to fight the wolf, since he took out all her sheep. She warns them not to, but to stay home and lock the doors.

Red goes to collect eggs from the chickens and sees Snow hiding out. She tells her that she can stay with her and asks her name. Snow first says Frosty, then says Margaret and then says Mary. Nice little play on her Main name, Mary Margaret there. She tells her she is running from someone and does not want to be found. Red tells her about Peter and how she wants to be with him.

Granny goes with Red and a masked Snow to the town meeting. She tells the tale of the wolf and how her father and 7 brothers died trying to protect her from it as she watched on the roof. She came tumbling down and the wolf scratched her arm and then ran way. He marked her. They still want to go and fight even though she warns them.

Snow and Red follow the trail of footprints, are these it? No, those are a dog. Are these? NO, that is a rabbit. Then they find a bit bigger print with claws and then it turns into half boot, half wolf print. Red and Snow diverge that this must be a man who turns into the wolf. She assumes it must be Peter. She sneaks out of the house, making Snow sleep in her red cape pretending to be her. She meets up with Peter and ties him with chains to the tree, saying he might be the wolf man.

Granny comes to check on Red and notices it is Snow and is in horror. She admits to Snow that Red is the wolf and she knew about it all along. The red cloak keeps her from turning. They run to find Peter but it is too late. Red has eaten him and all of these men. They are coming after her, Granny shoots her then cloaks her and she turns back to herself. She realizes what she has done and that she is the wolf and she runs out of there. Granny is there to protect her. She was a wolf too and it was her grandfather who marked her years ago.

In Storybrooke.....

Emma is questioning David about Kathryn and the phone call. He has no idea about it and Emma can tell when someone is lying. She lets him go. Red is fed up with the way she is being treated at the diner. She was flirting with August and Granny embarrasses her. She wants Red to work Saturday nights now to learn the business but she says no. She decides to quit and runs off. She ends up working for Emma and answering the phone and getting grilled cheese for them. She is so unsure of herself and her purpose in life.

MM is in the forest looking for Kathryn and clues about her. She runs into David but he doesn't seem like himself. He just says to her that he is looking and wonders off. She asks Emma to help and she brings Ruby with her. Ruby seems to have a keen sense of hearing (wolf trait?) and hears David breathing. He was knocked unconscious in the woods. They bring him to the doctor and find out that he has been blacking out and not knowing what is going on. Regina comes in and says that Emma should be arresting him since she has gone back to being his emergency contact. It seems that David has been going into a fugue state (One tree hill much?) and not remembering things, so maybe he did make that call to his wife.

Emma asks Ruby to help her find more information out. She sends her to the woods to look for something unusual. Ruby uses her keen sense of smell and wolfness to dig under a patch.  She finds this box and when she lifts it up she finds a human heart. Looks to me like one of Regina's boxes. If so, did she kill Kathryn and take her heart then bury it to make someone look guilty? Red brings the heart in and Emma goes to see David and MM to tell them her findings. We realize that the box is a human heart, but we don't know who's yet. And the fingerprints on the box are not in fact Davids, but they are MM's. Did Regina plant that to make her look like she had motive to kill her husband's lover?

Meanwhile, Ruby asks for her job back. She sees the scratches on Granny's arm and asks how they are. She says they get worse during the full moon, joke much? She tells her she wants Ruby to take over the business when she dies. It seems that they have much in common.

What will come next? Who's heart is it and is Regina behind this? Will she unlock Henry's book that is hidden in Emma's office? Can August break the curse too or is he a character as well? More of Ruby please, she is so pretty!

Once Upon a Time: Dreamy

Interesting background story on this episode. I had no idea that dwarfs were hatched from eggs and that names could be changed. I mean, until the other week, I had no idea there was an 8th dwarf named Stealthy. Haha. Let's begin, shall we?

In Fairy Tale Land....

Fairies Nova and her boss are in the sky. They are talking about how Nova (Amy Acker, who has been busy on Grimm as well, Buffy, Angel and dollhouse crossover) wants to be a fairy godmother. She needs to practice more however says the blue fairy. There are a bunch of eggs being hatched and one is covered in her fairy dust. When that egg breaks early, it is our lovable grumpy who says he dreamt of this fairy angel. When all of the rest of his brothers hatch, they get their axes that show their names. His is dreamy. They are told they love to mine, whistle while they work, never leave the mine and ground up diamonds into fairy dust.

Nova comes over to get her bag of fairy dust but cannot shut off the valve. Dreamy saves her and also saves her fairy dust from going into the fire. She calls him her hero. They talk about the fireflies and how they should meet up to see them. He tells her that anything she dreams can happen.

Him and his brothers go to have food in town. He is talking about how cannot eat, sleep or be himself. Belle, who is sitting in the background, who must have just gotten dumped by Rumple, chimes in about him being in love. He runs off to meet Nova and watch the fireflies. They talk about getting a boat and sailing away together to see the world. He tries to sneak out, but stealthy catches him. His brothers hug him and wish him well. On his way to meet Nova he runs into his boss and the blue fairy. The blue fairy tells him that Nova will get her wings clipped and never be a fairy godmother if they run off together. He loves her so much that he tells her they cannot run away together. She is heart broken, but realizes he was influenced by the blue fairy.

He goes back to work and starts mining away. His ax breaks, because he is so mad. They give him a new one and his name is no longer dreamy, it becomes grumpy. I am a bit confused, since we learned that he proposed to the love of his life (Nova?) with a ring that was not real and got sent to prison. Does this tie in somehow? I thought his name got changed to grumpy then, but I could be remembering wrong.

In Storybrook....

MM is to sell candles for annual miner's day. Nobody in town wants to help her since she is the town harlot. Leroy (grumpy) doesn't want to sign up either. He runs into sister Astrid (Nova) and helps her out with her lights project. He is smitten by her and turns into all smiles. He tells her he will help her sell the candles, since Astrid by accident ordered 12 dozen, not 12 helium tanks that are non returnable. If they are late on their rent to Mr. Gold, he will revoke them. The nuns? Really?

Him and MM try to sell the candles but no luck. He even tries to sell his boat to Mr. Gold to let him ease back on the nun's rent. He refuses and says he hates dealing with them. I guess the fairies did something to him in the other world. Grumpy comes up with a plan and kills all the lights causing people to buy all the candles from them and making enough money to help out Astrid. Leroy and Snow, who were once friends, help each other because they can relate. They both were in love with people that they shouldn't be.

Meanwhile, Kathryn is still missing. Emma confronts David, but he says he hadn't heard from her. Sydney, who is still working with Regina, gets the phone records and we found out that there was an 8 minute call between her and David. Emma must bring David in for questioning now. Where could she be? Do you think that Regina locked her away like she did to Belle?

Leroy tells Astrid about how he is fixing up his boat to sail the world and invites her to come. She agrees and they smile. It seems that nobody who actually belongs together ends up together in storybrook. What a shame.

Are we excited to see next week and the story of red riding hood? You know I am!
