Girls: Season Finale

We start off by Hannah, Marni and Adam moving all of Marni's stuff out of the apartment. She is really cold and rude to Hannah, but she leaves. Hannah has one month to find a new roomie. Adam offers to move in and they are so happy. She goes to work at the coffee place and pretends she is sick. Ray, her boss, is also in the same friend circle and gets the same text from Jessa about a party they must attend. Marni is now crashing at Shoshanna's since Jessa hasn't been home in days. Shosh thinks this is a bad day and has bad feelings about it.

The Party....

Shoshanna and Marni are there. Shosh in this white dress with braided hair and Marni with kinky hair and low cut dress. The text said they better go or be killed and dress formal. They see Hannah in a dress and heels coming towards them. They get to this fancy warehouse party and Jessa is nowhere to be found. A man introduces them and its a surprise wedding. Jessa is marrying the creepy 3-way guy from the other episode. They are in love and kiss and get married. Then they all dance and everyone dances weirdly. Charlie is there, Ray is there, Elijah and his boyfriend and Adam are all there. Charlie, after seeing Marni wasted, offers to sleep with her in the bathroom. They play it off as a joke, but I think he was serious. Ray hits on Shosh and she is not interested. Hannah asks Elijah to move in with her since he is living in a crack house because he cant live with his partner.

The Results...

Jessa is happy and marries the guy for real. I kept thinking it was a joke or one big play, etc. Shoshanna goes home with Ray and they have sex and he takes her v-card. Marni makes out with the guy who married Jessa after stuffing cake down her throat. Hannah and Adam get into a big fight. He really wanted to move in with her and she was too scared. He loves her and she doesn't know how to deal. They fight and he runs away and gets hit by a car. He goes off in an ambulance and wont let her in. She takes the subway, falls asleep, has her purse stolen and winds up in Coney Island eating leftover wedding cake alone on the beach.

Girls: The Big Fight

We start off at a book party for Hannah's nemesis from college. She writes a book about her boyfriend killing himself and she is so fully of herself. She has an awkward conversation with Hannah and then excuses herself to go poop. Hannah runs into her old college writing teacher, who invites her to read at a reading. She decides to go, but Adam will not come with her.

Jessa gets confronted by her old boss Katherine. The boss tells her she wants her to come back and she doesn't want to. They sit there and discuss the awkwardness that is her husband. Shoshanna is super cute and admits that she is going to online date. She has already met a guy and is going to meet him.

Hannah goes to the reading and reads a stupid story she just made up. Nobody is super happy about it. When she gets home, Marnie is cleaning up. She is pissed at her. They talk about it and Marni tells her that she is selfish. They then talk about how miserable Marni has been since Charlie. They decide they don't want to live with one another anymore and they fight and slam their doors.

Uh oh. Breakup in Brooklyn?

Girls - Hannah's Boyfriend

No Shoshanna this episode, boo. But let's see how the other girls did....

Hannah - this was basically all about Hannah and her new boyfriend status with Adam. They do boyfriend things and hold hands and its super cute. He takes her to his monologue and he gets really upset and almost quits. He then yells at a car who almost hit them and then apologizes to her with street art. Very cute.

Marni and Jessa - Marnie is going through Charlie with drawl as she stalks his facebook page and finds out he is already traveling with new girlfriend. She hates herself and cannot stand that Hannah has a boyfriend either. Her and Jessa decide to go out together and dress up. While there a guy (the one from Bridesmaids) picks them up and they go back to his place for drinks. He tries to have a threesome with them, but Marnie and Jessa make out instead. When he gets upset, they leave. Marni is in a dark place.

Girls: Bushwick Party

The girls are off to a random party in Bushwick and they think it may be the best party ever! Let's see how they all fare there....

Jessa - she gets a random text from an unknown number and she texts back the address. I have no idea what she is wearing. She sees her boss in the crowd, he is the one who text her. They chat and he brought a bottle of wine. She throws the bottle into the street and hits two guys. Then she talks trash to them. She dances with her boss until the two guys punch his lights out. She takes him to the emergency room and they talk about how she should come over. She doesn't cross the line. He walks out.

Marni - She is dressed too fancy for this party. Charlie's band is playing so she decides to be mature and say hi. As they are talking his new girlfriend, Audrey comes over and jumps on him. She gets pissed and calls him names because its only been two weeks. She then bitches about him to anyone who will listen until she runs into Elijah. She bitches to him as well until he stops her and calls her selfish. He brings up how she made out with him while he was dating Hannah. We get to see that Marni has not always been the bestest friend. He then yells at her and she yells at him for being queer. She leaves and picks Hannah and Adam up in a cab to go home.

Shoshanna - I love her, I really do. She is at the party too, by herself in a corner. She starts talking even faster than normal and says she smoked weed out of a glass pipe. Ray, Charlie's bandmate, tells her it was crack. Jessa leaves to talk to her boss so Ray has to watch her and be her crack spirit guide. She runs away from the part and he chases after her. She takes off her skirt and then kicks him in the groin for chasing her. She then gives him a non sexual massage. She is hysterical.

Hannah - She sees Adam at the party dancing with some girls. He has a shirt on and he is out of his apartment. He finally sees her and they dance too. She finds out from his friend that he is in AA. She confronts him about it and he says she never asks about these things in his life. They ride away on his bike with her on front and she thinks its too fast so she asks him to stop. He does and throws her off. She calls Marni to come get her. Marni yells at Adam and then he almost rides away but he asks if Hannah wants him to be her boyfriend, she does. They all ride away in the cab together smiling.

Girls: Hannah Goes Home

So this episode was all about Hannah. You see a glimpse of Marnie at the beginning, but mostly about Hannah. I am trying to think if SATC ever did one all about Carrie, but I think not. Let's begin, shall we?

Hannah packs up her stuff in a garbage bag to go back to Michigan. Marnie reminds her that rent is due. When she gets there, her parents are excited to see her. They want to watch movies with her and hang out, but Hannah does not. After they go to sleep, she eats everything in their fridge. She doesn't tell them that she quit her job.

The next morning she is sleeping still at 11:00am when her mom wakes her frantically to get her hot flash meds. She finally gets up and goes to get a coffee first and sees her old friend there. Her friend tells her about this benefit tonight for a friend that went missing Natalie Holloway style. She then heads off to the pharmacy and gets tons of things and knows the pharmacist from high school, Eric. He flirts with her and gives her pantyhose for free. He then follows her to her car and asks her on a date that night to head to the benefit.

She tells her parents she cant have anniversary dinner with them, she wants to go on a date since the boy she just dated made her heart feel like monkey meat. Aww. He takes her out for pizza and she tells this story how she was a vegetarian and then Adam only had meat so she ate it and the color returned to her face. They head off to the party, where the girl from earlier does a dance routine and Hannah thinks she is jaded. The girl wants to move to LA to pursue her lackluster dancing career.

Hannah goes back to Eric's where they have sex. She gets naked and so does he. Before they do it she sticks a finger in his ass. He doesn't like it so they have sex the regular way. She then cuts in to say "I'm tight like a baby right?" Something Adam would appreciate, but not Eric. Cut to a scene of her parents having sex in the shower, EW. They do it so forcefully that he falls out on the floor. He injures his back and Hannah comes home to find her naked father there. She helps him to the bed, naked still with saggy but. Mortifying.

She talks to her mom about how she is making it, even though she is not. She calls Adam. They talk and he tells her some story about a tranny outside his window. I actually really like him here and see why Hannah and him get along.

Excited to see next week with all of the characters. I really do enjoy this show!

Girls: Lots of Sex here

Let's check in with my favorite Brooklyn girls....

Jessa - my least fave. She is getting all dolled up at her babysitting job to see an ex boyfriend (Henry from Ugly Betty). He tells her he loves his new girlfriend Gillian, with a hard G and she insists he still loves her. They end up doing it against the window at Shoshanna's.

Shoshanna - Speaking of my favorite, she had a tiny part. She was putting away clothes when Jessa barged in to have sex. She saw the whole thing, hiding in the closet. She was so cute!

Marni - Charlie is still pissed about the diary and want to break up. We flash back to when they first met. She was tripping and he hung out with her and hugged her. I think Charlie produces a sense of security and comfort for her. She tells him she wants to get back together and has sex with him. In the middle of sex she realizes she wants to break up, hits her head and they are over, again.

Hannah - She comes on to her boss and asks to have sex with him. He refuses, and she quits. She then goes over to see Adam, who she thinks is now her bf. He is not. Instead he starts to jerk off while she watches. She takes money from him and leaves after watching the whole thing.

Girls: Hannah's Diary

Great episode. I am really starting to like this show. I have to say, I still don't like Jessa as a character. I love Hannah, Marni sometimes and I have started to really love Shoshanna. How could you not? Let's begin, shall we?

Hanna

Hanna gets a dick pic from Adam. She shows Charlie (who is basically naked) and Marni and they laugh, until she gets the next text. It says "Swy, not for you". Marni tells her she is smarter than that to think its not for another girl. She takes a photo of her with her boobs and sends it back. Hannah has a new job where her boss likes to touch everyone. He gives her a rub and touches her breasts. She talks to the girls in the office and they tell her its normal. They also draw on her eyebrows and make her look hideous. Her boss tells her that if she has a problem with the touching to let him know.

She heads over to Adam's to tell him that she doesn't want him to be having sex with other girls and just her. Then they start kissing and they do it. She is back in the swing with him again.

Jessa

Jessa is busy babysitting and she takes the kids to the park after running into their dad. She ends up starting a group of babysitters and loses the girls. They return home and she admits to the dad she lost them and he tells her that its ok. I suspect he has a crush on her.

Marni

Charlie and his friend snoop through their apartment and find Hannah's diary. They read it and decide to use it in a song they are performing. In it, she writes about how Marni should break up with Charlie because he has a vag and she doesn't really love him. He sings the song, Marni throws a drink at Hannah.

Shoshanna

Saved the best for last! She runs into an old camp friend on the street. They get to talking and he comes over to "watch a movie" (been there, done that) and they start hooking up after they kiss and she grabs his junk. He takes off her clothes and starts to eat her out, which she is very uncomfortable about. So uncomfortable she says "let's have sex" and before they get to, she tells him she is a virgin and he says he wont have sex with her now. "I so dont get attached when I bleed" She feels defeated.

Girls: HPV

Very good episode, I have to say.

Hannah dresses up as a vampire/slut person. She goes to have sex with Adam and gets the call that she has HPV. She tells him and he says he got tested, not him. She calls her ex boyfriend, Elijah and they meet to discuss. He tells her he is gay. She has a full out fight with him after he calls her round like a dumpling. She realizes that maybe Adam did give it to her.

Marni has some weird thing with Charlie, who shaves his head. She goes to her art gallery for work and wants to hook up with this weird artist. He turns her on so much that she goes to finger herself in the back office. Although Marni is gorgeous. Weird.

Jessa is babysitting and ends up smoking pot with the father and almost hooking up with him. I just do not like her character.

Shoshanna is busy being a virgin, but I do love her.

Hannah writes on her twitter about every cool girl having HPV and then dances in her room to "Dancing on my own" with Marni. Cute end scene.

Girls: Abortion

Episode 2 was really great. I have to say that this is like Sex and the City, if SATC was realistic. Girls in their 20's with no money, living in Brooklyn, not wearing Manolos, dating slacker guys, not billionaires like Big. Great concept. I love how the main star is the writer, director and actress. Brilliant!  Let's begin shall we?

We start off with Hannah having sex with her booty call and he is making her pretend that she is a slut with a cabbage patch kid lunchbox, ew. They use condoms, but she is a bit worried about the "stuff that comes up on the sides of condoms" haha. We also cut to Marnie having sex with her too nice boyfriend Charlie. This show is a bit graphic. The girls are going with Jessa to her abortion. They have never been to one before and Hannah talks about it lightly, like a hair appointment.

Jessa is smoking weed (while pregnant may I add) in cousin Shoshanna's room. Shoshanna is making an inspiration board and talking in her peppy, valley girl talk. I like how they bring her in more to this episode. Shoshanna, Jessa and Hannah sit on a bench and eat Tasti-D (what else would they eat) and talk about this book Shoshanna has about the "ladies". Jessa gets so mad because she doesn't want to get categorized as the ladies and doesn't want to admit that guys don't like her for her. They agree to meet her there and Hannah makes Marni book her an appointment to see if she has an STD.

Jessa doesn't want to think about this abortion so she goes to have a drink at a bar, a white Russian. She misses her abortion appointment and hooks up with a guy in the bathroom. She tells him to touch her under her skirt and he pulls out two fingers with blood on it. Guess she got her period, no need for an abortion.

Hannah has an interview with a publication. She is doing really well and she is vibing with the boss when they talk about their favorite bars. She is about to get the job until she makes a joke about him being a rapist. His face turns serious and he kicks her out, rightfully so. Did she think that was funny?

Shoshanna brings Dylan's candy to the abortion, Hannah and Marnie are there, no Jessa. They leave her tons of texts and messages but nothing. Shoshanna admits she is a virgin. Marnie admits she wants to have kids. Hannah has her appointment and asks her doctor about the stuff on the sides of condoms. Her doctor hates her. Hannah says she thinks she has AIDS and wants it. Her doctor again is appalled. People are so ignorant. Test is over.

HBO's Girls: Series Premiere

I have to say that I was not going to watch this, but I figure that if they were comparing it to Sex and the city, why not give 35 minutes of my life to it. I have to say it was cute, but not SATC-esque and the girls, not cute, at all. Maybe one of them.

We center around the main girl Hannah (Lena Dunham), who is sitting at dinner with her parents. We find out that she lives with her roommate in Brooklyn and has been working for 2 years at an unpaid internship (they don't really even do that anymore!). Her parents tell her that they are cutting her off and she needs to get a real job. She tells them how she could be into crack or something worse and how her friend Sophie had two abortions and she is not like that. That was actually hysterical and amusing. She tells them she doesn't want to see them anymore and heads off.

Back at her apartment, we find her asleep with her roommate Marnie, so I thought she was a lesbian. They fell asleep together and are woken up by Marnie's boyfriend Charlie. Marnie is actually one of the prettier ones. She doesn't even like Charlie. She tells Hannah she wants to break it off with him. Hannah has a bath with Marnie too, while eating a cupcake. Weird.

Across the river, we find cousin Jessa, worldly British girl, who is going to live with her cousin, Shoshanna. She lives in her studio for $2100 a month. She is so bubbly and funny and says OMG and all these other crazy catchphrases, she reminds me of a college kid still. Did I ever talk like that? Wears a pink Juicy sweatsuit and has a poster of SATC on her wall. Jessa does not know who they are, never seen the show, is not on facebook, is just too cool for school. I don't like her character at all.

Hannah goes to her internship, where she is an aspiring writer. She tells her boss that she needs to get paid and he basically fires her. Tells her that the Asian girl got promoted because she knows photoshop. She leaves and is in a bad mood. She goes to some guy's house and he is lanky, skinny and not cute either. He invites her in. They have some weird sex scene, where he tries to have anal sex with her and then does it doggy style with her. They are done and she leaves. She is really late for the dinner with Jessa.

At the apartment, Jessa is there and Hannah shows up late. Charlie invited his friend and girlfriend there and she is annoying. Hannah shows up, hugs Jessa and they decide to try some opium, flower pot. Hannah takes it, spits it up, thinking they said it tastes like twix, but it really tastes like twigs. She decides to see her parents high. Marnie confronts Jessa for being a bitch and finds out that Jessa is pregnant, not on purpose.

Hannah goes to her parents hotel, tells them to read her short stories and they love it but wont give her the money. The mother wants a lake house, so she doesn't give in. Hannah faints and wakes up in the bed with no parents. She tries to order room service, but the account is closed. She finds her stories and about $60 or so.
