Happy to see Revenge again? I definitely am! When we last left off Tyler was like a ticking time bomb, seems he is about to blow.
They start off with a backtrack. It shows Tyler holding a gun to Emily's head. We rewind two days and find Emily and Daniel discussing his birthday party. He wants something low key, so Em suggests a clam bake. Daniel is in cahoots with mommy dearest to take down deal old dad. He aligns himself with Dad, pretending he wants to be an asset to his company, only to gain insider info to take him down.
Emily heads over to Nolan's pad to apologize and make friends. They decide to track down the seal cam so that she can take it back. Nolan's tracking device takes it to the pool house. Emily goes in to get it and finds his anti-psychotic meds in his bag. She calls the number on the bottle only to find his brother is a doctor out in LA. Nolan gives big brother a call and tells him there is a jet all fueled up ready to take him to Tyler, who has gone off the deep end.
Back at the pool house, Ty comes to find his pills and to no avail starts to trash the place. He runs into Danny boy who he has an altercation with. Ty is also blackmailing Conrad with the evidence he has about Frank killing Lydia and the whole David Clarke scenario.
Meanwhile Victoria and Conrad are in mediation and she doesn't want any of their 10 other houses, just Grayson manor and a few paintings and Charlotte of course. Victoria claims the prenup is null and void because she was having a miscarriage and under duress. Conrad is not having it, because Charlotte wants to be with him and he wants sole custody. I have to agree with Daddy here. Charlotte should be able to choose where she wants to live. I still don't understand Victoria's lawyer here. He was the one who denied the appeal of David Clarke and Emily had bad blood to him, but she has not set up any revenge plots on him. This is pretty confusing. Maybe she is waiting till Tyler is out of the way.
Jack and fake Amanda are getting closer by the minute. They are also invited to the clambake. For the first time we see a little tension between Ashley and Emily. Ashley tells Em to have a little empathy and we feel a cool icy breeze go by. Jack is helping to dig a hole for the clam bake and Emily helps too. She has a convo with him about being careful about Amanda, but he goes in to saying he will always protect her. If he only knew.
Everyone is at the party. We have Charlotte with her boyfriend Declan (who Conrad apologizes to him for Victoria's behavior), Jack and fake Amanda (who introduces herself as Amanda Clarke as Victoria and Conrad glaze over), Ashley, Em and Daniel (who she has a touching moment with him and gives him a scrapbook of poems that Victoria calls lame and then ends up giving him a similar book for his gift, tsk tsk), and Mommy and Daddy Grayson. One big happy family, right? Wrong.
Tyler went to Nolan's to find the seal cam and ends up slashing his arm with a knife, tying him up and gagging him. Good thing, big bro was on the private jet, he finds Nolan and unties him. Nolan tries to call Emily, but Tyler has her phone. He is in her house trying to find good old seal cam. Emily walks back to get the cake and Tyler finds her there. As he is ranting and raving and she is telling him what a scum he is ans how nobody loves him, she slips Frank's wallet into his suit jacket.
Tyler takes the gun and leads Emily back to the party with it pointing at her head as everyone is singing happy birthday to Daniel. She sits down as Tyler has the gun pointed at everyone's head. He tells them he is going to play a game called Truth or Die. If you don't tell the truth he shoots someone. He asks papa Grayson to tell the truth about David Clarke as fake Amanda is watching in or he will shoot Emily. Just as this happens big brother Alex comes in and stops him. We find out that mommy and daddy did cut him off from Harvard, only because he needed medical attention and needed to be locked up. Jack and Daniel pounce on him, knocking the gun out of his hand (although I wished there would have been a bit more drama, all that climax and no real oomph, you know!).
Victoria and Conrad realize that Tyler was behind the whole thing with Frank and everything else and Conrad is no longer a murder suspect. Emily is hugging Daniel while watching Jack hugging fake Amanda. She longs for him and could have had him, but she chose revenge instead of love. (Even though the flashback scenes of her and little Jack are to die for)
It ends with Emily and Daniel in bed, talking about how much they love each other (I smell a proposal) and Victoria's evil lawyer telling her he found a doctor to fake the miscarriage papers so she can void her prenup and get everything she wants. A huge fake Cheshire grin comes across her face and fade out.
Who will her next target be? And how come Victoria isn't trying to learn more about Amanda Clarke, to see what she really knows!
