I have to say I titled this, because who could not love Ezra Fitz? But we will get to him, let's dig in.
The liars need someone to break into A's cellphone and all signs point to Caleb. Hannah is very against this at first, but she realizes he is the only one. He starts to break into he phone, but everything is password protected. By the time he breaks in, A has shut down his cellphone service (we can all agree A is a male now) Caleb however, uncovers a photo of the dolls all lined up in a row.
Hannah decides she wants to plan a party for Caleb's birthday at Spencer's lake house. She recruits Lucas to help her with the details. She also asks him to tutor her. You can tell her is weary about it, but does it anyway. He loves Han, you know?
Emily is doing community service at the call center. She reads a practice transcript that sounds a lot like A, talking about losing something and messing up. She later listens in on the same caller and realizes (with Spencer) that it is Lucas' voice. But he is talking about doing something bad and she starts to get worried.
Meanwhile, Aria is on lock down. She is not even allowed to wear anything provocative. She is not allowed to do anything besides go to school and see her parents. Ella says one child cant go to school because he is too depressed and another cant because she will sleep with her teacher! Byron goes over to Mr. Fitz' to start to talk to him but gets enraged when he sees his rumpled bed thinking Aria and him did the nasty there. He storms out, but not before threatening to call the police on him. Aria calls Fitz and he tells her he wanted to hear her voice, but cant talk to her anymore. My heart is broken. Ezra is so cute! The Montogomery's go out to dinner and see Ezra there and have to turn around and leave. My heart breaks for Ezra.
On their walk out they run into an old friend and his son Holden. Holden will be in future episodes, or so I read, so I keep watching him. Apparently, he is an old childhood friend of Aria's that they are interested in seeing again. They invite his family over for dinner. Aria tries to call Fitz, but not before her mom walks in. She lies and says it was Holden.
Garret has been trying to reach Jenna before she goes to her eye surgery. Spencer goes to make nice and kissy with Toby, awww, my heart melts. They witness the convo between him and Jenna. We realize that they brought in A to do their dirty work. I am not sure why Jenna is avoiding Garett, but him and Toby have a heart to heart about it. Garrett is left in the dust as Jenna drives away to get eyes. Jason is MIA.
Back at the party, Mona is all over Noel, ew. When did they get together? She really traded up from dorkasaurus to dating a hottie. They are all getting ready for the lake house bash. Spencer goes to the attic to find tiki torches and while moving boxes sees the wallpaper. It matches the photo of the dolls from earlier. Lucas comes up and Spencer wigs out. She freaks and leaves, he is suspicious. He calls the hot line again and Emily picks up. She rushes over to the house, sees Lucas in the kitchen and says "don't do this Lucas" giving away that she was on the other end.
Lucas and Hanna off in a rowboat to light fireworks and hang a banner for the surprise. While they are out on the boat, Hannah gets a feeling something is wrong. He tells her he needs to tell her something and starts acting weird. He stops paddling. She freaks and knocks him into the water with an oar. She swims back to shore and Caleb shows up "surprise". Mona and Noel are all wet, why? They went for a dip? Really? Then the last scene is Lucas' shoe in the water. Was he A? I don't know. But I think what he wanted to do was tell her he loves her, not kill her.
Who is A? I know we will find out soon, cannot freaking wait!
