Last week we ended with Emmet getting handcuffed. It never dawned on me why until this week. He was charged with vandalism and trespassing. He did hang that huge poster up for Bay. Melody goes to bail him out and she gets an interpreter to tell her his crime. They go home and she scolds him. Bay seems like the anti-christ right about now.
He is so upset he wont talk to Bay. She goes to see him and mommy Melody tells her in order to help she should STAY AWAY, as she signs each and every letter. YIKES. Even a deaf mom is a scary one.
Bay meets Angelo herself at a restaurant, he orders her an espresso, not knowing that young girls should not drink so much caffeine. Well, he has no idea how to be a father. This prompts Daphne to go see him as well. She asks him if he left because she was deaf. After denying it for a long time, he finally admits he did, only a little. She storms out. I am super impressed with Katie LeClerc. She is NOT deaf in real life, but she learned sign language and an accent to go with. She is a gem, seriously.
Angelo is also trying to help Regina buy her own salon. He wants to put down the money for it and her current employer is less than happy about this. She ends up agreeing and they share a dance over an old tune together in the kitchen. bad news, I can feel it.
Meanwhile, Kathryn is writing her book and Regina objects. She catches her lawyer canoodling with the guy from the hospital board and believes this is too much a conflict of interest. They fire her after mistaking her for a lesbian and she tells them to sue the hell out of the hospital, because they deserve it.
Daphne switched basketball teams but the coach wont play her. She asks Toby to help her practice the lineup and her strategy. He runs into Simone who's dad is on the board of the school. She tells him that they had Daph join the team to get the $20k grant to get new bathrooms if they are kind to those with learning disabilities. Horrible. Toby tells Daphne and she is appalled.
Daphne is also trying to talk to Emmet about what happened. He explains to her how he hates hearing people sometimes. He has marks on his wrists from the handcuffs. He takes this out on Bay, since she is hearing girlfriend. She is hurt and confused, asks Daph for help and she yells at her too, saying she wont ever understand him. And she is right. She wont. Until she becomes a master signer.
In the end, we are left with a cute scene where Bay springs Emmet from home jail to show him a laser show of her art work. They hold hands and look on super cutely. And we find out from John that Angelo may not be what he seems to be. Apparently, he was MIA for a few years. I can only assume the money for Regina's hair salon is shady and so is he.
I still heart this show and I get butterflies when I watch it.... don't you?
