The booth is more empty than usual. Lily and Marshall have decided to live full time in their house in Long Island. Barney decides this is awesome, because now he is the leader of the gang. He even changes the opening credits to "How I met your Barney" and changes the them song, ba bap ba da.
He decides to take them to his favorite strip club to hang out with stripper Lily who has a boyfriend, who they dub new Marshall. They decide to go on adventures with them and even place them into the credits. They go to a poker game in an insane asylum where Ted wins all their chippies (as he sings "we built chip city") and makes them super mad after he piles his winnings into a building shaped contraption. They then are told they are going to a Yankees/Coke party where the fee is $100 each and they oblige. They really get ripped off by the Russian duo.
There is a side story about Kevin and Robyn and how they are still in that stage where they say yes to everything. They get caught in these awkward "SOOOOO" moments and almost give in to everything. They discuss this and end up nixing the high-fives and saying yes to all.
Meanwhile in Long Island, Lily's dad (who I will never stop referring to as Woogie from There's something about Mary) is staying with them and being a nuisance. He used to live in that house so he points out all the dos and donts of the house. He even mentions how he watched the widow next door undress when he was younger. Fast forward to the end where she dies of a heart attack, oops.
The lights go out and after being yelled at by Marshall, he refuses to help them find the fuse box in the basement. He finally helps and comes to the rescue and makes pancakes for them. Marshall and Lily wakes up to a surprise, the gang is here, since they have spare keys and they are all together, in the booth in their suburban kitchen.
Just an EH OK episode, you know. I was liking the deeper ones for a while there!
