New Girl has not been on for weeks, so I could not write about it. This is a fun new show where we have newly single funny girl Jess who moves in with 3 guys roommates (why do they always have spacious apartments on these shows?) and hilarity ensues.
This episode was mildly funny. Nick, one of her roomies, is ready to start dating. They tell him he has a pouch (Jess says you know your beer and cookie pouch right there in your stomach) and he starts to examine himself naked in the mirror. Jess walks in by accident and sees everything. She lets out this nervous scream/laugh and he is mortified. She is very uncomfortable with nakedness and with saying the actual names of body parts. She starts to call his you know what all these funny things. My favorite was the bubbles, hahaha.
He goes on a date with a girl (Hello, did anybody see No String Attached? He is in it and so is this girl who is dating Ashton on the movie! nice crossover!) and he finally is able to get into bed with her. Jess is actually hiding in his room naked, because she thinks it is only fair that she saw his and now he should see hers. Little did she know he was bringing this girl back. He gets naked again and she tries to run out and runs into her.
There is a sidebar about the other two roomies who wants to get a new job, but all he has been doing for the past few years if playing basketball so he has no idea about what is current in the world. They should really pick up their story lines. snore.
Luckily, Zooey carries the show.
