Just when I thought I was done with Gossip Girl, they threw this DVR Junkie a bone. Last night's episode was above par for me. We start off with Blair wanting to find her royal bridesmaids, so she has a competition where they need to dress her super fast, not trip while in stilettos and carrying champagne and finally being able to kiss NY's most eligible bachelor - Nate Archibald of course!
The whole Dan and Serena thing comes to a head. Her evil boss Jane decides that she wants to make the movie not Dan's way, but more or less making him seem as evil as Facebook King Zuckerberg. Serena isn't having it, so she asks Diana to kill the movie deal, since she has a secret on dear ole Janie.
We find out that the therapist is being paid off by Prince Louie. It seems he has the same scheming bone that his bride to be has. He wants to make sure she puts Chuck back into a tailspin and makes him never want to be with Blair again.
Charlie (whom I love) has to kiss Nate or she will never get to be a royal bridesmaid and cover the royal wedding to please her boss Diana (who is threatening to expose who she really is) What I don't get is why Charlie told her the truth anyway? Guilty conscience?
Charlie does kiss Nate and of course this will foreshadow their future relationship, Diana gets jealous, then reveals her claws and tells Charlie that Nate is all hers. She even posts a picture of them in her new trashy media company.
The best part of the whole episode is when Chuck goes to Blair's to tell her he is sorry. My heart stopped beating while I watched him be genuine, endearing and honest. He apologizes for how he gave up on them and how he treated her and how he should have waited longer on the top of the Empire State Building. I love love love this scene. I puffy heart sticker this scene. Didn't we all just want her to be with Chuck? For the baby to be Chuck's? To wear that gorgeous Harry Winston rock?
Why did he leave it on Harry Winston's door at night? Does he not think that NYC riffraff would pocket that bling in a nanosecond? Damn Chucky....
Looking forward to next week and more gossip.. thanks Kristen Bell for bringing it home!
