Project Runway: Finale Part 1

I cant believe we are at the end of the season. In this episode the three finalists have only 4 days and $3000 for fabric to create a mini collection of five looks. Now in the real project runway they have like 5 weeks. They also get to go home and think, here they have their own little work rooms at least. They also have to do a model casting. They also get a mini twist, they have to create a six look out of scrap fabric from recent challenges. They however get 24 hour help from one of the past designers that they can choose to work with. They meet with all of the panel judges to talk advice and strategy as well and even meet with Joanna Coles in her office. Let's see how they fare this episode!

Austin: Austin is going to make a bunch of Austin things and a wedding dress for his finale showstopper piece. During the model casting he fights with Mondo about who they chose and they have to flip a coin. He wins one and he loses one. Mondo is pretty sour about it. For his sixth look he chooses Anthony. (I thought it would be Kenley) I LOVE ANTHONY. After Austin explains his vision to him, he laughs and laughs and says OH HUNNIE. He then said one look looked like dead white lady. Oh boy. I really do miss him. One of his inspirations is sexy Hassid men. I mean really? Sexy? Austin feels pretty confidant about his looks and even shaves his moustaches. I think he is a pretty strong competitor.

Mondo: Mondo has a breakdown because he doesn't know what he wants to design. He says he hates his fabrics, so he is going to spend the entire first day on the couch. He is so mad, he doesn't talk to Michael or Austin during dinner and leaves like a little priss. He then decides this show is driving him crazy, so he calls his collection therapy. Which is what he will need when this show wraps. He makes a Rorschach inkblot dress and some other really fun and funky things. He chooses Mila to help him with his 6th look. I think his collection will be funky, but maybe not all star material.

Michael: Ahhh Michael. So he of course does jersey and draping. He does a resort wear jungle safari theme. The panelists do make a good point. He designs for a model size not an everyday woman size. Ones with no bras, plunging necklines and size zero waists. I still think his stuff is amazing and fabulous though. He enlists April to help him and calls her a silver fox. I think he can really take it ALL THE WAY.
