This is the end of an era. 9 seasons and it is now over. We start this 2 hour special by recapping the first 9 seasons. We go through the relationships, the drama, the heartbreak, the marriages, the friendships, the deaths, the kids, the first and last moments. Each of the main characters talk about how their characters have grown these past 9 years. Director Mark Schwann, made this originally about Cain and Abel on the basketball court. Such a perfect storyline about Lucas and Nathan, with the same father, different mothers, both for the love of basketball. All of it is also set to old classic literature, like Shakespeare and the likes. Then about Brooke Davis' evolution from party girl to serious mother. Hayley James being young and full of love and moving forward. We see Chase, Chris Keller and Mouth grow up before our eyes. What a beautiful first hour.
In the second 1.5 hours, we have the last episode. We start with a monologue by Nathan and the rest of the characters. We see his 17 year old self on the river court, we then see young cheerleader Brooke walking the halls and young Hayley cheering in the stands. The sound stage has Peyton's bedroom and even the names of boys on her closet door, which Julian put his own name in there as well. He shows her a prototype of her house as well. She says she wished that house deserved better and had a family who deserved to be there.
Julian and Brooke are celebrating the start of Bakerman with her parents. They open a store right across the street from Karen's cafe. Chris Keller is going to be the artist that goes on tour. Him and Chase have some weird scenes where they try and stalk the sisters Grimm twins. Mouth gets a check from Dan Scott's estate for 500,000. It says what you do matters. He thinks this is because he never exposed Nathan all those years ago. Hayley has a 100 anniversary concert at the Tric where she performs and so does Chris. Then we have Gavin DeGraw, the artist that started it all, perform new songs and of course his signature "I don't want Be". Quinn and Clay decide to adopt Logan into their family and go to the courthouse. Bevin, remember her?, she is the one behind the desk. While they are there, Logan calls her mom and she sparks something. She decides they should get married right then and there. Then they adopt Logan as their son and have this moment where even Bevin throws confetti at them. I am having the chills as I type about it, its so good. Hayley shows Jaime the spot on the roof where her and uncle Lucas wrote their dreams down. He writes that he wants to beat his dad's scoring record. He goes to practice at the river court and Nathan tells him that he can do anything, but for himself, not anybody else. You have come a long way Nathan Scott. Julian ends up buying Brooke Davis' house and finally gives it the famil it deserves. Mouth ends up donating the money to a scholarship fund called the EdwardsScott fund for kids who pursue college majors in sports, dedicated to Jimmy Edwards and Keith Scott. Nice touch Mouth!
Always and forever Tree Hill.

We end with the Gavin DeGraw's song and all the main characters singing along at the chorus. The song also cuts over to everyone at Karen's cafe goofing around. We have all the kids there, the twins, Jaime, Logan and all the people. It is amazing. Then we cut to the last scene, I guess we fast forwarded a bit. All of the kids are older, Millie is pregnant with Mouth's baby and they are at the basketball game of the leading scorer, Jaime Scott. We then flashback one more time, to Nathan, Hayley and Brooke, to the first season shots of them. I got the chills through most of this song and most of the episode. I realized that I have watched this since the beginning and fell in love with the people and the music and the stories. This was a great part of my TV life and I am sad to see it over.
