This episode totally takes the dynamic somewhere else. Joe's Russian girlfriend Elena is there to stay and Joe has been slacking on his job. He hasn't cooked or cleaned for them and Mel is not happy. She befriends her only to manipulate her and make her think Joe should not go out with his friends. We learn that Elena may get sent back to Russia and arrested. The only way to save her? Propose. Joe does this at the end. Oh no!
Meanwhile, Lennox has started a blog about junkfood in vending machines. Ryder has been eating for her and starts to then want to sneak veggies. She gets them banned and all the kids hate her.
What does this mean for Mel and Joe? Stay tuned next week for the wedding!

Sometimes I hate how we are never brave enough to say the things that are on our minds and Mel’s reluctance to share how she feels this season is a reminder of that. You can tell during this episode that a lot of the stuff she says to Joe when he’s trying to coax Elena out of his room is meant for him. I’ve got my Hopper DVR set for next week’s episode. This one will be too good to miss and with 2,000 hours of recording time I don’t have to worry about running out of space. A Dish co-worker recently upgraded and after testing out her Hopper I signed up to get my own. I wonder if Joey will go through with it because it’s all very sudden and it’s clear that there are things unsaid between him and Mel. I also loved the part about Lennox and the snack machine. She tried to do good by making a valuable point only to get picked on by the other kids for it.
