Jess still does not have a job and is working at a casserole place and doing impressions of 90's sitcom characters like Urkel. A group of younger people move in across the hall and Jess wants to get to know them. Schmidt wants to be their buds, but is all Schmidt like and they hate him. The love Jess and she wins them over with her impressions. They think she is just like them struggling to find her way. She realizes she is not like them and is not 23, she just lost her job and needs to get back to it.
Nick plays an expensive trick on Schmidt to make him feel old. He replaces his fiber pills, makes his chair lean back and makes his shoes shorter. They talk about how him and Winston have different ideas of trick playing and how they should pee next to his car, not in it. Winston ends up making a scene at work and gets to be the producer of his own radio show.
