Don't Trust the B in Apt 23 - People Cover

This was a really cute episode. June and her mother are obsessed with People magazine's sexy man issue. They follow it every year and her mother and her love it a bit too much. She wants to sleep with every guy on the cover. Her and James have been such good smoothie friends lately. Chloe tries to prove that she would sleep with anyone on the cover, including James if he was. June doesn't believe it.

June pretends like she is the new manager at People and fires a few people. She puts James on the cover and also gets her own office and calls the shots for a bit. When the issue comes out, he is NOT on the cover, because the head person at people, chooses what she wants regardless. They also realize Chloe doesn't work there and they fire her. James and June kiss, but no sparks. They are SMOOTHIE friends not SMOOCHIE.

Don't Trust the B in Apt 23 - Season Premiere

And we are back!

This episode we are focusing on Dawson and the possible reunion of the Creek characters. He keeps getting letters every year to have a reunion that he turns down. Little did we know that Chloe has been writing them to boost his ego. June convinces him to have the reunion and then learns that Chloe has been faking it.

He finally meets up with Busy Phillips and she is all incognito, because all of the other cast mates hate him. At the last episode they all bought a boat and sent it away, but James never chipped in. He even tries to get Frankie Muniz on the reunion and then meets with Mark Paul-Gosselar. Cute!!

June tells all her friends that the reunion is on, but they don't have time for her. She talks about her failed job, living situation and relationship. Finally they set the boat on fire and have a funeral for Dawson's Creek as they give up the idea of a reunion. I would love to see him and June get together.

Don't Trust the B in Apt 23 - Season Finale

I have to say I thought this finale would have a bit more oomph. Let's begin...

We start off with June, who looks gorgeous BTW, drinking with Chloe. She is talking about her moment in the sun. She ends up drinking too much and has to go to the hospital to get her stomach pumped. Not being able to drink for 6 months, Chloe wont hang out with her anymore. The same night, she goes out for sushi with James and Chloe. Everyone in the restaurant gives Chloe free drinks and shouts something in Asian. We soon learn it means no panties. (Also a weird scene with pastor Jin cheating on her husband)

from abc.com

An Asian comic book has been written about Chloe called tall girl with no panties. She knows nothing about it. June shows her that she wrote a comic too called Trina and Sissy. They skip the prom to eat oranges. HA ha. Chloe burns it. June soon learns that Chloe collects the Asian comics and hides them under a floor board. When she meets the guy who makes the comics, she learns that she needs to stand away from Chloe's shadow. The comic guy then writes about June and Chloe is depressed. James explains to her its because Chloe doesn't want to be forgotten.

Meanwhile, James has his dressing from for DWTS. It is next to Dean Cains and Dean's room is 6 inches taller. He tries to get him to switch but that doesn't work. Instead he knocks down the wall between him and Fred Savage and lets Luthor work out of there.

In the end June writes a Trina and Sissy comic where Chloe kills them. Chloe and June are happy again as friends and roomies.

Don't Trust the B in Apt 23 - Casual Sex

June gets caught by Chloe masturbating in the tub to soy latte guy that comes in everyday. She decides to ask him out and just have sex with him. She does and he becomes attached. He loses his parrot Judy and makes June help him find him. Chloe keeps reminding her this was just sex and breaks it off with him for her.

from abc.com

Meanwhile, June did some spring cleaning and gave away Chloe's things to the church including a sex tape of her and James she made years ago. The pastor sells it and gets a nose job, rotating chicken spits and a wine fridge. It is going to get leaked now, but they want to touch up a few scenes, since James is licking his lips the whole time. But Chloe cant go through with it. She cares about him. He is going to be on dancing with the stars and this will help his image!

from abc.com

Chloe helps to bring the bird back to June's man and she is back at square one, but is happy Chloe is learning to care. And June's mom is his advisor, how funny! (Welcome back Barbara from Felicity)

Don't Trust the B in Apt 23 - Jam Plan

June warns Chloe no more roommate scams. June needs to find a way to pay her rent. She goes to her Asian church and realizes that she should sell her homemade jam. June agrees to help with this and they make tons of jam. Chloe later reveals that she has been making this into a porn site with the help of peeping tom neighbor Eli. The problem is, the first 500 views are free, so they are not making any money.

from abc.com

Meanwhile, Dawson has new jeans called cheeks with beeks. He puts a huge poster up of it, but there is another one right next to it about meatballs. This is so funny that it gives him more publicity and gets him more famous.

from abc.com

June still needs to make money so she offers Robyn, the creepy neighbor, everytime she sort of fake hangs out with Chloe. At some point the railing gives way and Robyn falls landing her in the hospital. Chloe is proud of June's scheme.

Don't Trust the B in Apt 23: Foster Child

June is obsessed with Chloe's lack of responsibility. She didn't water her plant, it died, she watered it with her goldfish, they died, and she didn't give her neighbor his insulin shot, sadly, he died too. Chloe is going to be super busy for the next 3 days, because her job is showing around UN ambassadors from all around the world. She even has creepy neighbor test her with flags and languages. June gets a job as an unpaid assistant to a demanding woman who also wants her to cut her hair and get her dry cleaning, all while working at the coffee shop. She gets more responsibility there as well, since Mark thinks one of the employees is stealing things.

from abc.com

Meanwhile, Chloe decides to adopt a foster child, Molly and have her be her assistant. She does a bang up job for a child. June is furious with this. While Chloe is off gallivanting, June has to do her internship, work at the coffee shop and take care of Molly. She has to sew her a dragon costume and see her play, so she has to leave work early. She gets fired from her job because of this. June doesn't know how she got a foster child, but it was because Chloe pretended they were lesbians and had someone over to interview them without her knowledge. She is so upset that June shakes Molly "shaking the baby" and Molly gets taken away from them.

On the other side, James is trying to play the part of a little girl. He has his assistant read all of his scripts for him. He invites a girl actress over to study her and does a really funny job of imitating her. In the end, he plays the girl in the movie, but it is too weird for directors, so they cut it.

Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23: Father Issues

This episode was really cute. I am glad I gave this new show a chance. I think they are starting to find their stride. Let's begin, shall we?

June is trying to see the bright sides of things. She had this life plan and now it is set back. She sees a baby in the hallway and after a rendition of HELLO plays, she know she wants it. Chloe tells her that she has a guy for her, Scott. She says absolutely not, since she doesn't trust her. Chloe tells James and he agrees to make it look fake, so she throws a party and invites him.

At the party, June shows up with her bike. She heard she can meet men on a bike. Scott is there and they have so much in common. Even though she tries to fight it, her and Scott have a ton in common. They spend all night talking and finally making out. Chloe comes home and sees this and boasts what a good job she did. Then she says goodnight dad. BOOM. Scott is Chloe's dad! June thinks this is horrible and wants out of it. Chloe tells her how her mother never did anything with her and her dad is super unhappy and deserves someone good. June gives him another shot and lay in bed together and he gives her a McGruff crime bear.

from abc.com

James has a side plot that he wants to teach acting like James Franco does. When he gets there, all they care about is Dawson's Creek. They make him recite the dialog with Joey and ask inane questions about Pacey. He even tries to teach at Starbucks, but they only want to hear more Dawson stuff. He tells the coffee worker and he makes him realize he should milk it.

from abc.com

When June comes home, Chloe's mom is there and is upset because she thinks her husband is cheating on her. Two things, the word husband and she is in a wheelchair. YIKES. We find out that they are only separated a few days and Chloe set them up to hurt her mother. June breaks it off with Scott and he has a temper tantrum about midlife crisis and wanting to be with June. Chloe throws him into oncoming traffic and breaks his shoulder.

June tells Chloe about her life plan and how she never slept with anybody but Steven. Chloe tells her she needs to live more and find a new job and just be. June and her have drinks and watch James pick up a girl as Dawson. There is also a side plot with the peeping Tom neighbor who dissects Chloe's downfalls.

Cute and funny, love it!

Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23: Series Premiere

Of course I gave this a chance. I even got hubs to watch it with me, to his dismay, he didn't like it as much. Let's dig in, shall we?

We start with a scene of June walking in on her new roomie and her fiance doing it on her birthday cake. Flash back one week before.

A girl named June (Dreama Walker) has a fiance back home and gets a great job in NYC and company housing, dream come true. Until she goes to work the first day and finds out that her boss was embezzling and her job is caput. She needs to find a roommate and after tons of weirdos, she settles on Chloe (Krysten Ritter) who seems normal. Turns out, she's not. Even after getting warned by the neighbor not to trust the B in apartment 23, she moves in and gives first, last and security. She finds out that her roomie eats her food, doesn't respect her privacy and overcharged her rent and spent the rest on herself.

from abc.com

A twist, is that Chloe is BFF with James Van Der Beek (Dawsons Creek!) as his real life persona. They used to date and now are just friends. When June's fiance shows up with his life project child, Jeremy and his hot assistant, June is very naive. Now she works in a coffee shop and Chloe finds out that her fiance has been cheating on her with his assistants and other people (after getting Jeremy drunk and he pukes). The only way to help June is for her to catch them in the act. Thus, the birthday cake scene.

June has some spunk of her own and sells all of Chloe's furniture to the nasty neighbor (who was a previous roommate) to get back at her. When Chloe begs for her grandmas ottoman, she gets it back for her and finds out that she had drugs hidden in the bottom that her and James sell together.

They go for celebratory drinks at the end, which they do NOT pay for and say "times are hard, keep moving". Excited for more? Eh. This is a big wishy washy, but hey I will take spring TV when I get em!
