Lying Game: Spring Finale

Wow, they did not disappoint. This spring finale was amazing and I am super sad that it will take forever to see what happens next. Let's begin, shall we?

Ethan is trying to get back together with Emma, he follows her after her run. She says that they can never be because of Sutton and breaks it off with him. She goes inside to tell her parents its over and cries with Kristen in her room. Sutton sees this all and asks whatsup and is pretending to be shocked about her and Ethan. She also says she will be going after him. She shows Emma the locket and says she must tell Kristin about it.

Alec and Rebecca are moving fast to get this wedding going. She is setting up her house for the wedding and asks Mads to be maid of honor and Thayer to be the best man. Thayer spreads his concerns for such a fast wedding. We then soon learn that they are getting married so Rebecca wont have to testify against him in court about Derek Rogers' murder. Smart move. Rebecca has always had a plan, and we find out at the very end a bit more of it.

Rebecca runs into Kristin at the club and they tell her about the engagement and how they hope they can come to the wedding. Alec gets a call and walks away. Kristin tells Rebecca that her and Ted talked and all is good. Rebecca thinks maybe he finally told her and says this out loud but Kristin says told me about what. Rebecca realizes she slipped up and says she is sorry and walks away. Kristin is super upset and Emma just adds to the fire. She shows her the locket and Kristin speeds off.

Thayer and Sutton go to see Dan and the lawyer girlfriend to tell them about their theories, they tell them to go away. Dan even tries to help Ethan and remind him that  he needs to win Emma back. Otherwise, someone like Thayer will get the girl and he will regret it the rest of his life, since he is already at the finish line.

The Rehearsal Dinner.....

Ethan is going to break into Rebecca's house while they are at the dinner. He does this and Sutton is there as well. They search around in her receipts and find nothing. She tells him to look at the computer, but everything is password protected. Except the downloaded files. They find the JPG of Alec holding the tire iron over Derek's head. Bingo. They print it and get out of there.

Back at the dinner Kristin is about to blow. You can see it. During the best man toast she storms off into the bathroom. Rebecca follows her there and they talk about how it was a long time ago this affair and that things are different now and she is truly sorry. I think Rebecca wanted to break up this marriage for a long time coming. She storms out and Laurel (who took Baz as her date) and Emma storm out with her. Ted is crying. He yells at Alec for bringing that woman back into their lives. Laurel won't let her dad back into the house either. She is sticking by her mom.

Ethan shows the photo to Thayer and Mads. They bring this photo to Dan's and they all know the truth. Dan says that photo is inadmissible in court because it was stolen, but they will try their best to bring him down.

The Wedding.....

Rebecca is getting ready and Emma goes to speak to her. She tells her to come clean and Rebecca feigns like nothing is wrong. Emma storms out and sits down. The wedding begins and they say their vows.

As this is going on Dan walks in with a search warrant and Thayer lets them in. They go to search and find nothing till they get to his golf bag. They dump out the clubs and in it they find the bloody tire iron.

Just as they are saying I do and they kiss, in walks the cops and arrest Alec for the murder of Derek Rogers. Dan says he found the weapon with his prints all over it. Ethan is there to win Emma back but she runs into the arms of Thayer. They had a moment earlier on where he tells her she is the light at the end of all of this.

The Kicker....

Sutton is watching the whole thing go down from the window above. Someone walks in and Sutton says "It worked MOM", we turn around and its Rebecca. They had this plan all along. Well, one of my theories was right. Rebecca is the mother of the twins. She had a plan to break up Ted and Kristen, then make Alec suffer. But why is Sutton in this? The good twin always gets played the fool, just like in Ringer.

It looks like Emma is really Ted's daughter afterall. This will fair well when she wants to become part of the fam. Can they please expose her already? When will we be able to watch again?

Lying Game: Questions are answered

AMAZING. This episode was really great. I cannot believe they are having the spring finale next week. How I am going to live without this show? Yikes. Let's dig in, shall we?

Emma is still in the dark about why Ethan wont talk to her. She thinks its because he slept with Sutton. She tells Mads this as she drives her convertible BMW and Mads takes the wheel. She drives her right to Ethan's trailer and they bang on the door, but brother cop Dan sends them packing. Back at school, Ryan confronts Mads to why she is being so distant. She cannot let him in on the secret, so he feels betrayed. Emma goes to see Sutton to find out the truth. Sutton smugly tells her the gory details and Emma smacks her across the face. NICE. She totally deserved it. Even Mads told her to smack the lips off her.

Emma goes to see Ethan and doesn't take no for an answer. She starts yelling at him for sleeping with Sutton and he screams at her for sleeping with Thayer until they realize they never told either of them this. They both realize it was Sutton and Emma reaches over to kiss him. They should've known. But then Emma asks if there is anything else she needs to know and he says NO, but he is clearly lying since he did kiss Sutton at the ranch.

Kristen and Ted are fighting like crazy. Kristen spends time reading the Justin files about his mother and Ted catches her. They have a heart to heart and she asks if he slept with Rebecca and he laughs it off. He then tells her that the phone call he got during the surgery was about her fertility and she forgives him. He tells Alec he feels bad lying to her but cant let the secret get out. I mean, he obviously had an affair with her.

Laurel is allowed to go to the music festival Coachella after all with Baz as long as Emma and Ethan chaperone. Their van breaks down about an hour or so away from the show. The guy says he will fix it, but they need to stay the night. Emma sleeps in Laurel's room and tells her that she is a virgin as Laurel falls off the bed. I loved this part. Super cute and sisterly. Laurel could definitely know the secret and keep it. The van cant be fixed, so they end up playing a gig at an old person's home. Before they play, Laurel kisses Baz. I like them together! But does he have a deep secret like Justin did?

Meanwhile, Emma and Ethan are about to do it at the hotel room. She sets up candles and wears this odd boy shaped undie and long bra set. As they are getting closer to doing it, he breaks down. He tells her that he kissed Sutton. She says he will never get over it and he doesn't believe that. Yikes. Trouble in love land.

Dan has dinner with Theresa and they kiss too. They talk about how to take down Alec. Not sure what their history is, but it is a slow subplot.

Sutton and Thayer are googling Rebecca to see if she is really divorced. They call her exes house in LA and the maid picks up. She somehow tells them more than she should. She mentions that she was so close with Rebecca and it was said when they divorced. Sutton says she is in Phoenix now and the maid is so happy she went to see the love of her life. She says she wore his picture in her locket. They must find that locket but how.

The Kickers....

1. After a romantic night with champagne, Alec pops the question and proposes to Rebecca. She is wearing that ring she picked out in earlier episodes. They tell Thayer and Mads and they are less than excited.
2. Sutton has been trying to find the locket and they do. They open it up and there is a picture of Ted in there.

So is the theory this: Rebecca had an affair with Ted and had the twins. She had to give them up and Annie Hobbs stole one? Alec covered the whole affair up, but why? For Ted? And why is he marrying her now? Did Alec kill Derek or have someone kill him for him? Will Emma and Sutton ever really reveal that they have switched places? I guess the spring finale will just bring more questions, not answers!

Lying Game: Not Guilty

Wow. Another great 45 minutes gone by. I cannot believe how I lived without these two shows! Let's begin...

Ethan is sent back home to go to jail. On his way into the courthouse Emma is there trying to show her support. Thayer goes back to the ranch to pick up Sutton. She gives Ben a big hug goodbye and he hugs back. Not before telling Thayer that she is Ethan's girlfriend. He may know something is up. Back at home Ethan is going to have a court appointed lawyer before Emma makes a big scene that he will never get out like this. Dan reaches out to an old girlfriend of his who is a criminal lawyer. She is willing to take the case.

She meets with Emma, Thayer and Mads to discuss what had happened that night. Thayer lets her know about the frat guy and how he saw Alec Rybeck there at the crime. She refuses to go forward with this, because he is the D.A. and this is too risky. Emma reached out to Rebecca for help. She tells her what the frat guy says and Rebecca says she will take care of it. She starts to make Alec feel like somebody knows what he did. She then has a photo on her phone of Alec holding the tire iron about to slam Derek Rogers with it. She shows him and he freaks out. He realizes that people know too much.

Mads is still really mad at Sutton. She refuses to talk to her after she hit on Ryan. Thayer is busy telling Sutton how great and amazing Emma is. Emma has a talk with her parents about how she really loves Ethan and they agree to support her in any way possible.

Laurel is asked by her cute band mate to do this 3 day weekend show in California. She knows her parents will be less than happy about it. She decides to say yes anyway. Where is Justin? Did he drop out of school? I really wish that Emma would tell Laurel the truth, I know she would fully understand.

Emma is trying to get a time from the lawyer to see Ethan. She agrees and sends Emma a text, but Sutton is the one who sees the text and deletes it. Sutton goes to see Ethan instead and pretends to be Emma. She does the doe eyed Emma look and changes her snotty voice into Emma's. He tells her that something happened with Sutton, but it didn't mean anything and he is trying to forget it. Sutton means nothing to him. This really pisses Sutton off so she tells Ethan that she slept with Thayer while he was gone. OUCH. She just ruined Emma's relationship with him.

The court case is in session and Alec approaches the bench. He wants to dismiss all charges due to lack of evidence. Ethan is set free and as he leaves he does not even say hello or goodbye to Emma as he leaves. He must be still mad about Thayer. As Emma is sad about this in her room, confiding in Kristen, Sutton walks in shortly after they are done talking. She tells her that Ethan must be hung up on her after they had a thing at the ranch and Emma is crushed.

A few things....

1. Rebecca is evil. Pure evil. She must have taken that photo of him with the tire iron. How else would she have gotten it? She is trying to get Alec back and she is doing a great job. She earns his trust and then crushes him. I need to know about their past.
2. Alec had something to do with Derek's murder. But what?
3. Ethan and Emma MUST make up. I do not want her to be with Thayer, ew. Do the twins need to share EVERYTHING?

Lying Game: Dereks' Killer

Wow. I was on the edge of my seat and screaming at the TV as I enjoyed my cucpakes from my husband for Valentine's Day. Let's dig in, shall we?

Ethan and Sutton are still at the ranch. His dad has a lady friend who comes every year to buy horses, but they have nothing between them. She wished they did. We see a cute scene between Sutton and Ethan where they are laughing and enjoying each other's company. Ben invites this woman to dinner and Sutton tries to play an icebreaker game of who dead or alive we would want to meet. She vapidly picks Coco Chanel and when it's Ben's turn he refuses to play and walks out. He says he is not big on small talk. Clearly. Sutton encourages him to talk to his dad and she says she wished that she took the time to talk to her loved ones. He talks to his dad and surprisingly he lets him in. He apologizes for not always being a good dad and blaming Ethan for his mom leaving. He tells Sutton the news and she tries to kiss him, he says no.

Meanwhile, Laurel is busy with her band. She is writing new songs but wont let Justin read them. Rebecca sees her and she makes Rebecca promise that she wont tell. Rebecca then promises Laurel to have a produce make their first demo. Laurel produces her demo, while Rebecca and Kristen are watching. She is truly amazing and very talented. She wrote this heartbreaking song about Justin and how she doesn't trust him. After a talk with sister Emma, she realizes she must tell him the truth. Justin shows up at the recording with Chinese takeout. She scolds him because her mom was just there. I feel so bad for him, like a lost puppy. Although I know its all his fault, he really does love Laurel. She has an almost kiss moment with band mate Baz. She breaks it off with Justin. She tells him she cannot lie anymore or be with him and he cries and she leaves. Now maybe she can be with Baz!

Mads is reeling from the fact that Emma is not Sutton. I am so happy she told her. It is nice that Mads is really Emma's friend and not Suttons. They try to do some digging of their own with the frat boy that Derek had sold drugs to. They also find out that Alec was an alumni of the same frat. They go to his party and Mads gets invited in. As she is slutting it up with him, Emma finds a pledge that was at Derek's funeral. She corners him and asks what happened. He tells them he was there the night that Derek was killed. Since he is a pledge, the frat guys told him he cannot go forward to the police. He tells Thayer, Mads and Emma that Alec Ryback is the one who killed Derek and he was scared because is also the D.A. Mads is still in disbelief, but Thayer is starting to suspect.

Meanwhile, Mads and Emma have lunch with Rebecca to see if Alec had an alibi for that night. She wearily says they were having dinner, but I can tell that maybe he had left for a part of the night. Just then Ted walks in and tells Rebecca he needs to talk. He screams at her at the club. He tells her to stay away from his family. From Kristin, from Laurel and Sutton. Rebecca reminds Ted of the time he was so worked up he killed Justin Miller's mother. OMG. The club attendees ask if everything is OK and Ted runs off. Kristin speaks to Rebecca and Rebecca mentions something about a bike that Ted had. Kristin realizes she doesn't know as much as she thought. She confronts Ted about Rebecca and he shrugs it off. He obviously had an affair with her and is the father of these twins, right?

Alec and Rebecca are still tight and kissing and enjoying. He gets a call saying that someone knows where Ethan Whitehorse is.

Here are the kickers....

1. Emma ends up video chatting with Ethan and before he gets to say I love you, she has to go. Thayer tries to comfort her and grabs her hand. I smell chemistry! Especially since I read ology's interview with Mads, hinting that Thayer and Emma may have a thing.
2. Sutton and Ethan end up kissing after he reconciles with his dad. A few hours later, the FBI bust in as Ethan is open shirt, while Sutton is hiding. They arrest him and take him away and Sutton stays there and watches him leave.

In the previews, Ethan tells Emma about Sutton. Uh oh. She will not be too happy about this. And Alec, yikes! Did he kill Derek or have someone kill him? I am not sure.

Lying Game: The Real Emma Becker

WOW. This episode was another great one. Again, apple now eaten onto a bowl of popcorn and ready to begin the lying game, let's go...

Sutton and Ethan are on the way to his dad's ranch. When they get there his dad is not welcoming at all. In fact his dad is played by the same guy who plays Jacob's dad in all the Twilight movies. Nice with the whole Indian/Werewolf theme. Apparently Ethan's mom left years back and his dad blames him. Ethan and Dan left four years ago to start their own live in Phoenix. Ethan is trying to teach Sutton to be a ranch hand, to ride horses and clean stables and such. She tries to remind him of even though she is not like Emma they had some romantic times together. She even sticks up for him at the dinner table when dad Ben is bashing him. Cops pull up and tell Ben they are looking for Ethan because he is wanted for murder and Ben tells them he is not there and tells Ethan they are to be out by the end of the week.

Back at home, Emma is being questioned by the cops. She gets a prep talk from Dan about how to act. Her heels is masking taped up, hilarious. She has no idea what happened that night because she was not with Ethan she was studying in her room for her midterms (which she got all A's!). The cops can tell she is lying because she is always looking up at the right and she says they got pulled over for speeding and because she didn't know the name of the weapon, which was a tire iron. Alec thinks she was lying all together.

At Derek's funeral, Emma confronts Alec and tries to get info from him. He tells her that he doesn't think that Ethan is guilty but that Ethan should come home to tell his side of the story. Emma goes home and cries and cries to pictures of Ethan. Laurel is there however to comfort her. I actually love Laurel. I think that Emma should come clean to her more than anyone, because she can definitely keep a secret.

Speaking of Laurel, she is going to play with her new band. Justin is going to watch and I can see where this is going. The head band member is crushing on Laurel and who wouldn't. I love her outfit while she is performing. The Mercers see Justin there and warn him to leave that she has moved on and his happy now. She blows off Justin to have IHOP with the band. She comes over the next day and tells him that they have to keep lying, but ends up making out with him for a while.

Mads and Ryan are a cute couple. He tries to warn her that Sutton is not a real friend. He ends up telling Mads that Sutton has hit on him during the black and white ball. She tells Emma their friendship is over. Emma is confused because Sutton didn't fill her in on what had happened. Alec and Rebecca just spent a great night together and they are falling in love. They end up sleeping together and Rebecca's plan is working. She tells him she came back for him and well, she got him.

And we should end here....

1. Ted confronts Alec about sleeping with Rebecca. Alec says he is trying to keep a close eye on her because he wants to protect Ted's mistake. So now I am not so sure. Did Ted have the twins with Rebecca or Alec? I mean, in Santa Barbara, that doctor guy thought that Ted's wife's name was Rebecca so clearly he had an affair with her, but I am inclined to think that daddy Rybeck is the real father.
2. Ethan and Sutton are getting super close and I am starting to think that Ethan will be cheating on Emma soon and ruining everything they have when all she did was love him.
3. Emma cannot take it anymore. She loves Mads and tells her that it wasn't her who hit on Ryan. Mads says what are you talking about. Emma says, that was Sutton Mercer and I am not Sutton Mercer, I am Emma Becker her twin sister. END SCENE.

WOW. Finally! Emma comes clean and I think she should take this time while Sutton is away to tell everyone what has been going on! Then they can find their real birth mother and Derek's killer and maybe we can be one big happy family? Till next time I guess!

The Lying Game: Derek's Dead

Whoa, I know, the title. OK we will get to that. This has become one of my most favorite dramas on TV (along with Revenge, Ringer and Once!) Read on.

Sutton is back to being Sutton as she is mean to her parents and mean to sis Laurel. Big surprise. Shouldn't they know that it was not Sutton all those weeks? I think my mom would! Any who, the gang is trying to figure out who this snake guy could be. Ethan and Sutton head to school to talk to Derek since Emma said he was being really weird to her. They see his arm with a huge snake tattoo. DUH. I said a few recaps back that I thought Derek tried to drown her, especially when he was so freaked out she was alive. Ethan tries to manhandle him but the teachers break it up.

Sutton is still giving Mads a hard time for Ryan. Ryan got tickets to see a band at a club and asks Mads to go. She asks Sutton to pretend they have to go to the library together to study for midterms and she reluctantly agrees. Later on when Emma is back to being Sutton she ruins the plan. She actually meets Mads at the library and then calls Alec to see where Mads is, but she is out with Ryan. Busted. Since Alec and Rebecca are getting pretty close, she invites herself over with food and wine to wait for Mads with him. She tells him that Mads is such a good kid and wishes she would like her. She had a plan and I will tell you more on my thoughts later.

Emma doesn't want Sutton to fail midterms so she pretends to be her. Meanwhile, Ethan and Sutton go to Derek's house. They find out from his mother that the night of the accident his car broke down by the lake and he was picked up by officer Dan. Surprise! Ethan goes to confront Dan about it and he says to stay out of it.

Laurel tells mom and dad she is moving on from Justin. Meanwhile, she is at school being with him in secret. Sutton tells her to lie to mom and dad. When Emma is back in the picture, everything is rosy again! She tells Laurel to tell the truth and hugs mom and dad to apologize for all of her wrongs and say how she appreciates them. She tells Thayer how all she wanted was a family with her real sister after being in 12 foster homes. Yikes. Girl had it rough. Damn Annie Hobbs for stealing her! Laurel is sitting at a cafe and chats it up with the cute band member who she jammed with at the benefit. Until Justin comes in and takes her away. Laurel ends up jamming with this guy at her house. I smell a new romance.

Ethan and Sutton go to confront Derek at this body shop he spends lots of time at (go facebook stalking!). When they get there, he tells them that he did sneak up on Sutton in the car, but only to scare her. When the car flipped over he got out and freaked leaving Sutton there for dead. When he saw her the next day OK, he thought things were fine. Ethan wants to know who he was working for (Daddy Rybeck maybe?) so they fight. Derek hits him with a tire iron and Ethan knocks him out. They are about to rumble some more but a car is pulling up so they bolt. They end up getting pulled over by a cop, who knows Ethan so he lets him go (tail light out) but sees the bruise on his hand.

A few big things here...

1. Derek is found DEAD. That is right, DEAD. Even deaths happen on ABC family. The cops think it may be Ethan since he has a huge bruise and was driving away from the shop with Sutton. Brother Dan tells Ethan he should lay low because he will get pinched for this especially since he admits he fought him. He gives him money, they cry and he bolts.
2. He goes to the school to take Emma with him, with Thayer in back and Sutton riding shot gun. As he goes to grab her the cops are there looking for him. They run, her fancy heel snaps (by the way her outfit was GORGEOUS) and he leaves her. As the cops are speaking to her, Ethan makes a run for it. Thayer jumps out but Sutton stays put. She has always wanted to be with Ethan and now this is her chance.

3. Rebecca is ring shopping. I guess she thinks Alec will propose.

My thoughts....

Who killed Derek? I don't know. Probably Daddy Rybeck. I am pretty sure he is the one who made Derek try and kill Sutton. Rebecca is definitely the mom of the two and Alec is the dad and Ted was the delivering doctor. Annie stole Emma, but Ted got to take home Sutton as a prize. They never wanted Annie Hobbs to talk or Rebecca, because Alec was married at the time and Ted would lose his job. Any of this seem right? The only good thing here is that Emma finally gets her home back, just sans Ethan. Damn you Sutton. You ruin everything!

Lying Game: Black & White Ball

One of the best episodes yet. This show totally rocks, let's get started.

Sutton is back to being a royal biotch. She doesn't want chocolate chip pancakes, hates the gorgeous white chiffon dress her mother got her and is mean to Laurel when they have a heart to heart. Laurel lets her in on the secret about Justin and begs Sutton not to tell mom and dad until she figures it out.

Meanwhile, Emma sneaks in and wants to know what she is supposed to do now? Sutton suggest maybe go back to Vegas. Of course she doesn't want to keep her around. Emma asks if she can sleep in her closet and she says no. Sutton brings up the black and white ball and how she needs to go with Ethan to keep up appearances. Emma agrees and heads off to the lake house to hide out. Sutton keeps up this act that there is a killer and she doesn't want anything happening to her baby sister Emma.

Back at school Sutton is donning her head wound and walking around with Mads. She sees her chumming it up with Ryan Harwell and gives her attitude. Mads reminds her how just the other day she was all team Ryan and now she is bringing up 9th grade? Sutton realizes that she has not been living her life and maybe needs to rethink. Sutton tells Ethan he needs to go with her to the ball to keep up appearances. He agrees, but tells her he is in love with Emma, still. You have to love Ethan Whitehorse (White horse, noble knight, get it?) here. He is so dedicated to Emma and wont fall short. He tells Sutton that he is going to publicly break up with her at the ball so he can leave town with Emma. Sutton realizes this could be bad for her, since she loves Ethan. She goes to make nice with Emma and brings her clothes and food. She tells her some story how she wants to finally introduce her to Kristen and Ted, yeah OK. Who believes her?

Over at the Rybeck house, Mads is getting ready for the pre ball event. She is taking her brother Thayer. By the way, her back looks SUPER bony and not attractive. Eat something Mads, PLEASE! They even tell daddy Rybeck he should take Rebecca Seoul. Rebecca is all bright eyed and dreamy about this and wants to start again with Alec. She agrees to go to the ball with him after talking with Mads. She also tells Mads to take a chance on Ryan and ask him to the ball instead of her brother.

Sutton tells mom and dad the secret Laurel told her about Justin. Ted's face drops and runs to find Justin and Laurel. He confronts Justin and apologizes for what happened to his mother. Apparently, after that case he lost his residency in LA and they moved to Phoenix. Ted knew he had recognized him from somewhere and they have a heart to heart about it. Laurel however, realizes that she is always being lied to and storms out. She then sees Sutton and screams at her for telling her secret. She tells her that she knew this nice Sutton wouldn't last very long and now she is left with a selfish biotch that she always was. Ethan digs into Sutton reminding her that she is undoing all of Emma's good work. "Wouldn't Emma goody goody do that?" NO Ethan says.

We are at the ball and Sutton is donning a sparkly band aid over her wound. Creative or tacky? She is dancing with Ethan and tells him they have to kiss in order to make it look real. He doesn't want to, but she goes for it. He storms out to be with Emma at the lake house. She runs into Ryan and he says he is sorry for what happened in 9th grade. Apparently he took Suttons' V card , unknowingly but didn't want to be with her, so she made him seem like a complete loser and got him in trouble so he had to leave school. She then tells him when he is done with Mads, to come find her. EW. How horrible to do to your bestie. Emma would never do that to Mads.

Also at the ball Justin tries to talk to Laurel and Kristen steps in and tells him to back off. She says that he is disgusting and wants him to go. With tears in his eyes he does. He finds Laurel later at the ball sans momma and talks to her. I loved this part. He tells her how much he loves her and how her nose crinkles and her laugh and he doesn't care about all of that other stuff. I think she knows he loves her and we can see much  more of them in future episodes.

Sutton overhears Dan and Alec talking about Annie Hobbs being held at the hospital. She goes to find Emma at the cabin but she is half naked with Ethan, amazing! They go to the hospital to see Annie Hobbs. Annie admits that she was never the girls mother, NO WAY! She says she had a baby who died in the hospital. The woman next to her had twins and didn't want them so she stole one of them, Emma, and took her with her. But there was a fire and that's why she had to give Emma up. She has no idea who the mother of the twins were. They ask her who tried to kill Sutton and she says the snake man. In walks a nurse and the girls have to leave.

We see Rebecca on the phone with Alec telling him how happy she is they are starting over and when the phone hangs up, her smile is wiped clean. Amazing acting here. She shows up at Annie Hobbs bed and says "Annie, Annie, what have you done?"

AMAZEBALLS. My thoughts are this. Rebecca "Annie" Seoul is the twins mother. Either Ted or Alec is the father. She gave them up, because apparently she was a home wrecker as they were both married. One was stolen, but they ended up giving Sutton to the Mercers. The phone call Ted got in the operating room that night was that Rebecca was preggo. That's why he freaked. Also, the snake man is Derrick. And Alec hired him. BAM.

Cannot freaking wait... can you?

Sutton's Back!

Uh oh Emma, looks like Sutton is back and ready to stay.

We start off in the bedroom where they get to question Sutton on where she has been and they all hug and rejoice that she is not dead. She has a huge gash on her head but manages to wear a full Juicy sweatsuit. She goes into explain that Annie Hobbs is the one who saved her. She was following her and saw some dark man (Derrick) attack her and saw her drown. She dove in and saved her and then brought her to some motel and brought her food. Nobody believes her, and I have to say neither do I. Sutton has a devious smile and she even hugs Emma and tells her lies upon lies on how she wants them to be sisters and live together happily. I'm sure. They decide they need to go and see Annie, but Emma must stay put, or the cryptic note killer will find them.

Annie Hobbs is missing and now the Scooby gang think she is lying. Until master sleuth Thayer finds a surveillance cam of the diner next store showing Annie taking a wet and toweled Sutton into her care. Sutton is to stay at Ethan's until the gash heals up and she can resume her normal life. She ends up ignoring this after a trying to be sexy wearing Ethan's, er Dan;s robe moment. She breaks into her house, paints her toes, reads some magazines and takes a shower, puts on a mask and some cucumbers. Ahh. Until Kristin walks in and wonders why she is home from school. She says she is not feeling well.

Back at school, Emma is trying to figure things out. A boy named Ryan, who was apparently away all this time is back. He has his sights set on Mads, but she is not having it. Even the British accent doesn't sway her. Later on in the episode, he ends up winning her over in an auction at the fundraiser. He buys two tickets to the ballet (ballet again!) and puts them in a pizza box. It makes Mads smile and she is happy. Maybe a new love interest? Although we miss Eduardo, and I am sure Ryan has some lying game dirt on him.

Rebecca is busy being besties with Kristen. She offers to throw the fundraiser at her place. Her and daddy Rybeck even share a moment together right after he begins to apologize for his behavior back in high school. I am beginning to think that there is more to this story and I hope we will find out soon! She used to work for a music label, so gets a new artist/band to preform and the kids are loving it. Justin is there with a date and Laurel is heartbroken. After spying on Laurel, Rebecca asks her why she never did anything with her singing voice. SURPRISE. The band invites Laurel up to the stage to sing with them and she rocks it. Justin is watching her and he realizes he went wrong.

Two big things happen here.

1. Justin admits to Laurel the real reason why he is shady. Her father preformed an appendectomy on his mother that he botched. He apparently got some shady phone call during it and let the intern close up and then was MIA. That probably explains why he thought the bracelet was familiar. Justin's dad became a drunk after, and we are not sure where he could be. He admits this all to Laurel and then explains that he knew she was Ted's daughter when he got here, but I guess fell in love with her afterwards. Laurel is crushed and asks him to leave before he can explain more. I wish she would've let him stay! What else is he hiding??

2. Sutton thinks someone is sneaking into the house so she goes to the dance and before she can escape without being seen Kristin spots her. They see the gash on her head and I think that is what she wanted all along. She tells Emma to switch dresses and Thayer agrees. Emma no longer has her life and has nothing, except Ethan. Sutton is back to living at home and she heeds Emma's advice that she really does take it all for granted.

Things to look forward to: Emma stepping back in and letting herself be known, Sutton trying to steal Ethan from Emma, more on Justin and Sutton being devious. Do we like the angelic Emma or the devilish Sutton?

Where is Sutton?

When we left the liars, we had no idea where Sutton was. Emma got that creepy package along with the creepy note. I literally was on the edge of my seat, awaiting this episode. Let's begin.

They begin to use the term "lying game" which they have never once mentioned before. I guess Sutton and her cronies used to send evil notes and boxes in black and white paper wrapped up to torture other girls. Thayer and Ethan automatically think this is one of the same.

Emma goes to see a college in Texas with daddy Ted. She is overjoyed for the campus and even skypes Ethan on her phone to show him the 360 view. Brother Dan is in the background, reassuring Ethan that he wont make it to college. Ethan goes on to tell him that there is still hope for him and I agree, why not? Emma falls in love with the campus and daddy Mercer is overjoyed. I guess the real Sutton never cared about college. When Emma interviews with the college admissions office, she shows that not only her grades have improved, but her moral compass has to. (I mean, if you don't count pretending to be your maybe dead twin sister)

Back at home, Aunt Rebecca and daddy Rybek are having Char's mom committed to rehab. This leaves Char in custody of her never before seen dad and possibly off the show. If she has nowhere to live, how can she part of the three amigos? Tear. Even Aunt Rebecca cannot save her. Emma and Mads have a touching moment with her with clothes on in her pool, hugging and wishing that she could stay. Emma has a slight moment of twin memory lapse, as they begin to reminisce about their past and she cannot join in, sans memories.

At school, Emma runs into Derek and confronts him about not showing at her birthday party and letting Char down. She goes at him full force saying she cannot believe he did this and "did you think I wouldn't notice" as he tries to cover up for something else. From this one convo, I get the feeling that he tried to drown Sutton. He wasn't at the party and he seems like he has seen a ghost when he sees Emma alive and well at school. But why? Daddy Rybeck maybe? Who hired him?

Rebecca is like besties with Kristin now and this bothers Ted. I think that he had an affair with her and so did Alec. It was a little sharing action. She also eludes to it being wrong to take someone elses' child, so I am assuming that means them taking Annie Hobb's twins. But what it the connection? Why is Rebecca, Alec, Ted and Annie Hobbs all conjoined here?

Laurel goes to bring Justin a latte and he starts acting all guy-jerkish. He tells her that things aren't working out and as the crocodile tears spout out of Laurel, he tells her its over. She goes to see him at the club to see what really happened and he tells her that its not working and is carrying a bag of take out. Laurel thinks he is bringing it home for another girl and runs off crying. He goes back to his room, solo, and tosses the contents of his secret box into the fire. The only thing besides blurry pics that we can make out is an autopsy report of his parents, we would assume. My only thought is that daddy Mercer was the doc on the case with his parents and that's why the bracelet sparks his brain. Justin said she was wearing it when she died in the body bag. Maybe the autopsy reveals that daddy Mercer could have saved her and lied on it. I am hoping that this becomes a big reveal. In the meanwhile, poor Laurel. Even Ted says "that little bastard". Will they kick him out of the country club apartment?

Back at Emma's, Thayer comes back after missing for a long time. He tells them he thinks that he found Sutton's killer, it must be Annie Hobbs, since she was missing from the LA psych hospital. As they are sitting in her bedroom, Thayer (I loved her since she was 7), Ethan (we had some good times together), Emma (her voice was electric, my sister), you start to feel bad that they lost Sutton Mercer. Until she walks in the sliding bedroom door that is. Guess she is not dead folks....

Ahhh. Great episode for sure. What will happen next? I have NO CLUE!!

The Lying Game Winter Premiere

Background - Also another book by Sara Shepard (she rocks!). It is about two twin girls Sutton and Emma who were separated at birth. Sutton was adopted by the rich Mercer's who live in Phoenix and Emma was bounced from foster home to foster home and wound up in Vegas. They find each other and plan to find their birth mom. They switch places and Emma gets to live the fab life with the family she always wished she had. Sutton ends up on a wild goose chase in LA, stays with her bff Mad's brother Thayer (who she also ends up sleeping with) and finds her mother Annie Hobbs, who was locked up in a mental ward. Emma has repaired Sutton's broken life, grew closer with her family and has started a love fest with Sutton's secret bad boy boyfriend Ethan. (Who by the way was on 90201, now on Lying Game and also starred on Switched at Birth, he is a busy guy!). Sutton's sis Laurel is dating a mysterious guy named Justin, who's parents died in a car crash. He gives her his mother's bracelet which Ted Mercer thinks is familiar. Ted Mercer and Alec Rybek (Mad's dad and Sutton's godfather) are in this secret together. From what I get is that they took the twins from Annie Hobbs, made her think that one of the girls died in a fire, so she got locked up from the pain, and now they are trying to keep everything a secret. Alec has his hand in everything. In the summer finale, Sutton comes back to reclaim her life. She tries to seduce Ethan and have Emma walk in. She tells them that she is going to out Emma at the birthday party. On the way to the party. someone is in Sutton's car and makes her crash into the lake. The car and Sutton are drowning. Emma is about to reveal to loved ones her true identity, when she sees someone lurking in the shadows. When mother Mercer and Emma go outside, we find out that she calls the women Annie.

All caught up? Let's dig in...

We open up at the birthday party, where Annie is there. But not the Annie Hobbs that we saw from the mental ward. This is Annie Seul, or Char's aunt and Kristin, Alec and Ted's highschool friend that went off the deep end. I am still very confused. There are two Annies? At least this one (Charisma Carpenter, old Buffy alum) has changed her name to Rebecca. Strange. Sutton is nowhere to be found and they are all worried (Ethan, Thayer and Emma). Thayer starts to believe that there was foul play and Ethan is behind it.

When they get back they find out that their spare car (who has a spare car) is missing. Emma and Ethan realize it must be Sutton who stole it. Later on they find the car in the lake, with a phone and a purse. Sheriff Dan is weary, says it must be Suttons and Ethan takes the blame. Says they took the car to reminisces on the past when they used to date. Alec lets them go, with his creepy smile.

Rebecca is an apparent theme here. She tells Alec to send her sister away for mandatory rehab. I have a feeling she wants to step in and take care of Char. She has a plan and I am not sure what is is.

Laurel misplaces the bracelet from Justin. Meanwhile, Ted pretends to find it although it looks like he took it. He wanted to examine it further. This bracelet means something more and now Ted know it belonged to Justin's mother. Justin explains that when he saw his dead mother in a body bag, he saw the bracelet too. I am getting the feeling that either Ted was his real father, knows his real father or was the doctor during the death and covered it up somehow. Justin is out to get Ted Mercer, but poor Laurel, hope she doesn't get roped into this.

Back at casa de Emma/Sutton, there is an extra gift that they somehow forgot. Of course this is more A - PLL style. Same author, same style. They open it up and there is a piece of Sutton's dress with a note that states, "Keep being Sutton or you're next". Cliffhanger, for sure. Who is behind this?

And furthermore, what happened to Annie Hobbs? How is Rebecca tied up in all of this?
