Bachelorette: Season Finale & After the Final Rose

I have to say this was completely shocking to me. Let's begin shall we?

We start off with the families meeting the men. We have Emily's mother, father, brother Ernie and fiance. They meet Jef and he brings flowers. He is very well spoken and talks about Emily being the love of his life. They love him. Then they meet Arie and they love him too. He brings a box with all the dead roses he saved from his journey. He asks her dad's permission for marriage.

Then off to her single dates. First she sees Jef and they sit on a beach. He talks about wanting to meet Ricki. She is hesitant but he explains that if the roles were reversed, she would want to meet the daughter also. So they do. They go back to her room and they swim with Ricki and they look like a happy family together.

She is so happy in fact, she doesn't want to see Arie and sees Chris instead. She tells him she cannot see Arie fully knowing that she is in love with Jef. This is not what I expected AT all. Arie was always the front runner to me. I feel like she should've went on a date with him, but I guess if you know, you know, right?

Arie is getting ready for his date. He loves her and he wants to propose. He makes a love potion, which obviously goes awry. She sits down with him and cries. He says what is wrong and she tells him that its over. He gets up and storms out and she runs after him. He doesn't know what he wants her to say. It is just over. They hug and he leaves, doesn't understand what went wrong and neither do we.

Jef goes to pick out a ring from Neil Lane and get a beauty worth $150K. He proposes to Emily and then Ricki runs out after she takes her time to say yes and the three of them walk off into the sunset. My heart did melt a little even though it was broken from missing Arie.

After the rose.....

Hubs was sleepy, so I was lucky enough to watch! We first talk to Emily about how happy she is. We have Ashley and JP in the audience, along with Stag and a few other random C-list bach stars. We bring out Arie who is still upset. We find out that he flew to Charlotte after this was over to see her, but couldn't do it. So he left his journal on her doorstep, but she didn't want to read it. She couldn't after being in love with Jef. He also is BFF with Jef and they talked it out and he is better. He still loves her, but has to let her go.

Jef comes out, they watch the proposal, as they whisper together. He talks about why he loves her and how they have been hanging with Ricki since then. He is going to  move to Charlotte and get his own house (weird) after their jaunt through Africa. I am glad she can leave Ricki for that long to be in Africa! Then they plan to get married. Let's see how long this lasts.

Bachelorette: The Men Tell All

Welcome to another 2 hour event. We start with a recap of the season, some insight to the new bachelor pad and some grilling of the men.

We have a conversation with Sean, where he talks about how he loved Emily and this opened him up to the process of love. When she comes on stage they get to see each other and there are no hard feelings. In fact, I wouldn't believe anyone hated Emily.

We have a talk with Chris about how he was in love. Another talk with Doug, how he didn't make a move. We talk to Ryan about the trophy wife and other comments, but we still love him. He means well. And of course the guy btch out Kalon for being a doosh. He admits it and wont take any blame or own up to anything. Instead he makes himself look worse, even after pointing everything out to him. He even tweeted that Emily was baggage again, super rude.

We show some bloopers and then talk about how the final two are left and who she will choose. Dashing Arie or silly Jef? And she looks amazing in this tight red, Herve Leger dress with gorgeous blown out hair. She is stunning, isn't she?

Bachelorette: Curacao

Off to a beautiful romantic island with three guys... dream come true? Not for Emily. She struggles having to choose. Let's see what went down.

First off is Sean. They take a helicopter to a private island. He writes Ricki this sweet letter and tells Emily he loves her. She is finally getting him to be emotional with her. I have to say I was thinking he was the one to go from the beginning. I just don't see it between them. Too good to be true reminds her too much of Brad. She offers him the fantasy suite, but not to stay over. They make out a bit.

Next is Jef, one F. I actually see that he loves her and she loves him. But I have a feeling he is the Ben F of this season. The hot guy always wins out. He is curious how him and Ricki are going to mesh. She offers him the fantasy suite but before he accepts he tells her he understands he may not stay the night since it sets a bad example for Ricki and his parents, etc. She appreciates that and they spend some time together and he goes home.

Finally is Arie and I am so excited. They snorkel together and lay out on a boat. He tells her how much he cares for her and she doesn't even offer him the suite, because she cannot trust herself around him. She wants to jump his bones, but wont allow herself to be put in that situation.

She is having a hard time deciding, so Chris Harrison shows her videos that the guys made with one last plea. They all say they love her and its super hard for her to choose.

Roses go to Arie and Jef and Sean gets sent packing. He has a very tasteful goodbye and tells her he will miss her and good luck. If I didn't already think Roberto was the next bachelor, I would think Sean would be.

Next up meeting Emily's parents and Ricki and a proposal? No, next is the guys tell all of course. And then after the finale, BACHELOR PAD 3. I cannot wait!

Bachelorette: Hometown Dates

Sorry it took me SO long, but I had most of the week off! But I am back, have no fear :)

Emily is going on hometown dates with the final four. We all can predict how it went, but let's just see if we were proved wrong.

First stop is Chicago with Chris. He takes her to a Polish restaurant and to see his family and his sisters. She has a great time with them. They have a huge Polish dance fest and music galore. He loves her and he tells her so.

from wetpaint.com

Next stop is to see Jeff in Utah. Who knew those skinny jeans were so country? He takes her skeet shooting, which looks really cool. His parents are doing secret charity work so they are not there, but his brothers and sisters and their kids are. She really likes him and he loves her. He reads her a handwritten letter claiming his love for her.

from abc.com

We are off to see Arie in Arizona. She goes to ride in the car with him which is pretty cool. Seeing them together it just feels right. She goes to meet his parents and she is pretty nervous. They speak in Dutch in front of her and I can understand why she doesn't like it. Super awkward! But things end well and his parents love her just as much as Arie does.

from wetpaint.com

Last but not least to see Sean in Dallas. We go to his parents house where I have to say the little house for the grandchild is amazing. I want one for my future daughter! He tells her he still lives with his parents and she freaks. Thank the lord he is just kidding. Things go well and everybody loves Emily.

from wetpaint.com

Rose ceremony time and she lets Chris go. He fights it and tells her she is making a mistake.

Next up Curacao. Who's heart will she break next? I have no clue at this point.

Bachelorette: Prague

We are down to 6 guys and by the end of this we will have 4. We have three one-on-ones and one group date of 3. The first single date is with Arie. I am soooo excited! But what we all didn't know was that Arie (10 years ago) went on a date with Bachelorette producer Cassie Lambert. Big deal. Emily is upset he never mentioned it when she brought up Cassie's name, who by the way is hideous. Arie is totally trading up. Cassie has a talk with Emily and things are all calmed down. She talks to him about being honest and loyal and then we cut to him saying he didn't think it was such a big deal and I agree. It's not. They kiss of course and he tells her he loves her. The cutest thing ever. I believe him and I am so happy for them!

from wetpaint.com

The next date is with John (Wolf). I am still not sure how he made it this far. I think he snuck in. They go to write on the John Lennon wall and the locks of love. I am not sure why. They have dinner in a creepy castle. She really likes these dungeons and things. He opens up more to her, they kiss, etc. He feels REALLY good about his date with her. Although, I have no idea why he is still there!

from wetpaint.com

After the date is over, Sean cannot take it anymore. Even though he has a group date the next day he roams the streets of Prague, screaming out her name. Yeah ok. He finds her in an alley, alone, yeah ok again. He makes out with her. They share a beer and shares his love for her. Creepy.

from realitytv.com

Group date time. It's Chris, Doug and Sean. Chris has been so upset that he hasn't gotten alone time with her since who knows when. He is very immature and it shows here. She spends time with each of them in a castle and realizes that Doug is too scared of her. He won't touch her, is shaky and finally throws a lame kiss out, but she sends him packing. He needs to understand why. I mean everyone else does. She has a talk with Chris and he focuses on how upset he is. In the end she gives the rose to Sean, which guarantees him a hometown date.

from realitytv.com

Next date is with Jef. They go into a marionette store and he buys a woman, man and kid to represent this new family. They act out how they met and then follow into a library. They sit on the floor and talk about being a family and how he loves her and she cares for him, etc. Then he says "I want to date you hard and marry the fck out of you" I mean really?

from ew.com

Em decides on no cocktail party because she has made up her mind. During the rose ceremony, Arie and Jef get one, obvi, but then Chris says they need to talk. He tells her he cares about her and wants to marry her, etc. She gives the rose to him, but honestly, I think that is how it went all along. Although I don't think he will make it to the end, he had a better chance than Wolf who just sputtered along this whole time.

Next up, hometown dates! Bring it home Arie, bring it home!

The Bachelorette: Croatia

This week we are in Croatia, sans Ricki. Emily's first one on one date is with Travis. The explore the town and dance in the streets. Although they have a great time she decides they are just friends and there is no spark, so she does not give him the rose. Bummer.

Next up is a group date. She takes Arie, Jef, Wolf, Sean, Chris and Doug to see the movie Brave. She compares herself to the lead in the movie and they all have a good time. Then she takes them to wear kilts and compete in their own Highland games. First is archery and Arie does the best. Next is throwing a log and Sean does the best. Last is wrestling a log and Sean wins again. She offers up this bravery cup and Sean thinks he will get it, but Chris does because he was the bravest. I really hate this little smile he does, did anyone else see it? She has some time with them, makes out with Arie, makes out with Sean, makes out with Jef and makes out with Chris and gives him the rose.

from abc.com

Next up is her one on one with Ryan. He makes some crazy cracks about her being the pearl to his oyster and I love how Arie rolls his eyes at everything. He really is the best. Her and Ryan drive through Croatia and we talk about this whole trophy wife thing and he tries to redeem himself but fails miserably. Then Ryan busts out a list of his 12 perfect things for a wife and although it was sweet to him, not to Emily. She says she doesn't want to fit into his mold and breaks it off. She doesn't offer him the rose and he is shocked. He tries to get her to change her mind, but that fails as well. She sends him packing.

When she gets home, Arie sneaks over for some alone time to make sure she is all right. I love him, I really do. Much better than Courtney skinny dipping with Ben. He makes my heart smile!

from wetpaint.com

Emily is on the fence between John and Doug, who to send home. She sees another side to John when he pulls out the funeral cards of his grandparents. She sits with Doug and he still does not make a move nor is confident.

Rose Ceremony....

She is still stuck. She walks away, talks to Chris and asks for an extra rose. She keeps both John and Doug for one more round and they should be grateful!

Where to next? Prague!

Bachelorette: London

Cheerio! We are in London. We are down to not so many goes, so let's see how sweet Emily fares here.

Her one on one date is with Sean. She is obsessed with him. She thinks he is the perfect guy. He tells her he hasn't been on a date in forever. The see a speaking group and he gets up and talks about being in love. They have dinner in a prison. They bond, they kiss and he gets a rose.

Before the group date card arrives, Kalon is bitching that he hasn't had any alone time with her. He makes some comments about how Ricki will always be around. The guys are getting judgy and we all know what happens next. Well the group date card comes and everybody is on it except for Jef, one F.

The guys are going to perform Shakespeare in the park. While rehearsing Kalon is a dick again. He shoos her away to rehearse. He is taking this too seriously and she gets angry. All of the men are picked for male roles except Doug and Arie who play nurses. They all do a great job of being silly, except for Arie who is Romeo and he is horrible. Once they are done Emily talks to them all (while her voice is practically missing, she is sick). Ryan, gets her a necklace and is really sweet to her.

Doug gets wind that Kalon was calling Ricki baggage and his dad radar turns on. He tells Emily what was said and she flips out. She said she wants to take her earrings off and get all West Virginia hood rat on him. I love it. I love when her bad side comes out. She confronts him about it and he admits to saying it. He doesn't apologize or take it back, she interrupts him and tells him to be quiet to get him back for earlier in the season then she tells him to "Get the eff out". I love that part. I even showed Hubs and he was amazed that sweet girl cursed. He leaves with his tail between his legs. I guess I was wrong about him.

She doesn't give a rose out and goes home to spend time with Ricki. The guys are upset. And she is even more upset that none of them stood up for her and had her back. Although I agree, I think it wasn't their place to start fights, you know?

Next date is with Jef. They are off to have high tea and the lady giving it is horrible. The run far away from her and have a beer at a bar with fish and chips. They have a great time and Jef talks more than I have ever heard him. They have dessert in London's eye and they get deep talking. They kiss and he gets a rose. He all of a sudden loves her and I'm like where did that come from?!

Rose Ceremony and Cocktail....

She speaks to the guys and grills them, especially Travis and Arie. She makes them feel bad for not sticking up for her and Arie is worried he may go home. The rest of them talk to her and she has her decision. She gives roses to everyone except Alejandro the mushroom farmer and Arie was second to last, probably for ratings. My poor Arie.

Next up is Croatia.....

The Bachelorette: Bermuda

And we are off to Bermuda with Ricki too of course!

The first date is a one on one with Doug. After a big girlie fight with the men in the house about him being nervous, him and Emily are off. They go shopping in town and have a good day. They write a postcard to his son Austin and that melts his heart. There is something about him that I am not loving. He gets the rose, but doesn't kiss her. She really wants him to but he doesn't. He said he doesn't make the first moves.

from abc.com

The next date is a group date and they are racing in a sailboat to spend more time with Emily. The winning team is the yellow one which has Arie, Kalon, Jef and Ryan. They all spend some one on one time with her on the beach under the same gay white blanket. Ryan rubs me the wrong way for sure. Arie and her are so sweet together. She seems to be infatuated with Jef. She gives him the rose again.

from abc.com

The last date is the dreaded two on one. It goes to Nate and John (Wolf). They both go for a cliff dive swim and then have dinner in a cavern, which is very cool. Nate cries about missing his family and John just acts normal. She gives the rose to John and Nate is sent packing.

from abc.com

Final rose ceremony and all the guys speak to Emily. She has a talk with Alejandro and he tells her that if he stays he will show her more. Ryan tells her he is upset with her that she kissed Arie in front of them. I love her. She turns to the camera and basically tells him to grow up. Final roses go to everyone except Charlie and pony tailed Michael.

Next up London, with Ricki too, of course.

p.s. I hear that Roberto may be the next bachelor and I am so excited!!!!

Bachelorette: Episode 3

Welcome back rose fans! I have to say that I was a bit skeptical about Emily. She is not as spunky or silly as Ali and Ashley were, but this episode made me think differently of her. She was a bit funny and even silly and it shines. Let's begin!

First one on one date is with Chris. He is a nice guy, but 25 which makes her worry a bit. They climb the side of a building together and make it, whew. They enjoy their victory by dancing to country music. He gets the rose!

from abc.com

Time for a group date! Tony, Ryan, Alessandro, Doug, Sean, Jef, and a few other guys I cannot remember! The one with the egg, Travis. They are there to meet her girlfriends who grill the guys. They decide that Doug and Sean are the best. She watches the men play with a group of kids. She gives Sean the rose and he is super happy. At the cocktail portion, Tony is blubbering over missing his son. She sends him packing so he can be with him.

Next one on one is with Arie, my favorite! They are off in a plane to Dollyworld. They ride a roller coaster together and then write a love song. While writing, Dolly Parton shows up and sings for them. Emily is beyond belief here. She loves Dolly. She is like I could die, 50 times. Finally her and Arie kiss then have dinner. She pretends she is not giving him the rose, but does anyway. Nice joke Ems! They kiss some more and go on a carousel. I am in love with this guy and I think she is too!

from abc.com

Back at the house and drama for sure! First she meets with Kalon, my other fave and he is so rude. He interrupts her, doesn't let her get a word in edgewise and tells her to stop speaking. I am surprised here. She then meets with Travis and she gets to splatter his ostrich egg all over the place. Then she meets with Allesandro and he tells her that Ricki and her would be a compromise since he is a gypsy and moves all around. She then sends him packing and he wonders why. She is bummed, but Arie is there to kiss her and make her feel better.

from abc.com

Rose Ceremony....

Everyone gets one except NJ DJ extraordinaire Stevie. Bye Bye Stevie.

Next up Bermuda, how exciting!

Bachelorette: Episode 2

Em's first solo date is with Ryan. She picks him up and he helps her with groceries to her house. They bake cookies for Ricky's soccer practice. They then drop them off and head off to dinner and to a concert. She gives him a rose and he is safe. I have to say that she is gorgeous and super sweet, but I feel like there is no sparkle to her. Like Ali and Ashley were real girls that were fun and easy going and were super great! Emily is a bit of a drag, sorry Ems.

The next one is a group date with 13 guys. They are to perform at a benefit concert with the muppets to raise money for the Ricki cancer wing. Charlie, who recently fell off a roof, is having a problem with speaking. They all do a great job. She gives the rose to Jef because I think she likes him and is worried he is not into it.

The next solo date is with Joe. They fly to West Virginia to her favorite old country club. They swim and then have dinner together. They put notes in the love clock. She cries. She is not into it. She breaks it off with him and sends him home.

Back at the house, everyone is hating on Kalon. Of course. They are jealous! They don't let him get any time with her. She does the rose ceremony and everyone gets a rose except....

Aaron and Kyle....

Maybe next time boys!

What do you think of Emily? Too sugary?

The Bachelorette: Emily Maynard

Welcome back Bachelor/Bachelorette fans! It must be summer time! Emily Maynard won the season of the Bachelor for Brad's heart, only to be dumped before the wedding. She also lost her first finance in a plan accident and gave birth to their daughter Ricki. The show is in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina so she can be close to her. I have to say she is gorgeous and everyone so annoyingly tells her so. But she seems very stale. Like nothing to her and too nice. Very syrupy. I feel like Ashley and Ali were much more interesting. Let's begin, shall we?

from abc.com

We have a bunch of fun suitors. One shows up with an egg, another with bobble head dolls, another on a skateboard, one with a glass slipper and one from a helicopter! Of course they all hate that guy since they are super jealous!

from abc.com

She gives the first impression rose to single dad Doug. He brings her a letter from his son. Of course that would pull at her heart strings.

Roses? Sean, Jef, Arie, Stevie, Chris, Ryan, Kalon, Charlie, Nate, Joe, Kyle, Aaron, Alejandro, John, Alessandro, Michael, Stevie, Tony, and Doug (first impression rose).

My personal favorites are Kalon (helicopter boy) and Arie (race car driver!)
